New York Times Bestselling author, Leslie Kelly writes sexy romances and dark romantic thrillers. A four-time RWA RITA Award nominee, eleven-time Romantic Times Award nominee and 2006 RT Award winner, Leslie has become known for her delightful characters, sparkling dialogue, and outrageous humor in her romances, and for the dark grittiness of her thrillers. Since the publication of her first book in 1999, Leslie has gone on to pen more than forty sassy, sexy romances for Harlequin Temptation, Blaze, and HQN.
In 2009, Leslie began tapping into her love for dark suspense by penning several books under the pseudonym Leslie Parrish. The Black CATs and Extrasensory Agents series quickly put Leslie on the must-read list of romantic-suspense fans.
Tired of writing under various names, Leslie decided to go into her next genre--futuristic thrillers with a suspense element--under her real name. She released her dark, gritty Veronica Sloan books, and reissued the Black CATs series, as Leslie A. Kelly.
Leslie lives in Denver with her husband Bruce--her real-life romance hero. Visit her online at lesliekelly.com (for her sexy romances) or at leslieAkelly.com (for her romantic suspense.)
This was a surprising hit for me. I found myself immediately drawn into the story after the prologue. I rooted for Kate, the underdog, returning to her hometown and all of the bad history that it contained. And Jack…well, he was just perfect in every way imaginable. They had immediate chemistry, but little did either of them know how their parent’s history would pit them on opposite sides of the town gossip.
Protagonistas: Jack Winfield y Kate Jones Argumento:
I will never look at cheesecake the same again. That scene has lived rent-free in my head since the first time I read this back when it was first released. This is one of those books I'll go back to time and time again.
Related to Jill Shalvis' 'Naughty but Nice' I thought this story was more likeable, had some funny moments and I was glad to see her let go of old hurts.

I loved this. There were issues and not easy ones since they were in the characters' heads. It takes time to change and grow your ideas. But I loved this couple, Kate and Jack and their way with each other. They were fun and hot and sweet.
It helped to have the complementary book by Jill Shalvis with Cassie and Tag, and also the people in town to fill out the characters. I would definitely read both books since they match so well. For the most part, the only characters which came out strongly, feeling real, were Kate and Jack in this book. The others were just mentioned in passing.
