A Delicious Touch

Rate this book
Reese Webster was labeled the good girl. Life had always been kind to her, but recently, Reese experienced a significant loss. Never one to give up, Reese notices the light at the end of the tunnel when her dream job lands in her lap.

Auden McNeil is a no-nonsense kind of guy. He likes his life the same way he likes his fast, quiet, and problem free. Things have been this way for him for years until the new Social Media Manager starts and flips his world upside down.

Reese focuses on getting her life on track, while Auden does everything he can to avoid getting caught in the good girl’s web. An innocent smile has the potential to bring Auden to his knees. Will he fall victim to her charm, or will the lessons learned in his childhood save him?

Loved it

This was a sweet romance between Reese and Auden.
Her friend Shiloh, and her ex were trash.
I loved the relationship she had with her parents. Auden's father did the best he could, and I understood his his pain. I'm glad they had the conversation they had.
Auden was so sweet, and caring toward Reese, but tough when needed.
I wonder what's going on with Nash and his relationship though. Maybe we'll get a story on him one day.😏
I would recommend this book.

Breaking out!

You should always "keep your friends close; keep your enemies closer." This ring true for Shiloh and Reese "friendship." Shiloh was an enemy rather than a friend. She tried everything in her power to break down Reese, but she failed miserably. She was also jealous and envy of Reese. She thought she was the better woman when, in reality, she was far from it. Reese landing her dream job was a blessing in more than one way. She got to do what she loved and met the love of her life. Auden was the man that Reese needed in her life. He was the opposite of Eli, her sorry ex. Auden knew how to properly treat and respect a woman. Auden knew from the first encounter that Reese was all his. Reese broke through a couple of shells, Auden and Mr. McNeil. I love the relationship that she formed with Mr. McNeil. He needed a female touch in his life. She was able to help with his dietary needs. Reese was just what the doctor ordered for Mr. McNeil. Her being in his life mended his relationship with Auden.

This is an office romance that is not short on the drama. Shiloh created enough foolishness to propel the storyline. You will want to get into this to read all about the antics. Ms. Erika, I'm looking forward to your next release.

What a sweet story! Reese had some things going on, but she knew that she would be alright, after landing the job of a lifetime. I loved her positive disposition, caring heart as well as her quirkiness. Meeting Auden at the workplace, was just what the doctor ordered. Auden was so laid back, and didn't let much rattle him, until he met Reese. This woman made him immediately feel things, and he knew he had to get to know her. Although he didn't initially trust himself, as it was drilled into him that women were only good for one thing🤬! However, Reese drew him in with little effort. It was adorable how Reese's internal conversations about Auden, always came spilling out when he was in earshot! 😂 Auden was completely off his square with this woman, but he was good with it! NOW, that damn Shiloh was trash! What was wrong with her for real? You hate her but want to keep her close! The hell??🤯 I loved how loyal Reese was, but girl, you should have caught a clue a long time ago with this heifer here! Ughh.... Anywho, the way Auden adored Reese was beautiful, and would love to know more of their story. So, what is up with Nash and Eden? He was moving hella reckless out here! They up next? Good read! 👍👍👍

3.5 ⭐️

The quotes in this book were CHEFS👩🏾‍🍳 KISS 😘 💋

“Honey, God never misses the chance to show us when it’s time to move on.”

“I am not available for a reunion. We had our chance for years, and with the way our friendship ended, I know it was because God was telling me that I had to leave you where you were. The places that I am going, I cannot take you with me. I will love you forever, because you were my first friend… However, there is no more room for you in my life. I will always wish you well, but it will be from a distance.”

The story was delicious 4.8 stars

You all, this story was a delectable treat that I thoroughly enjoyed every morsel, crumb and tiny pieces. The bigger slices focuses on Reese and Auden's love story. Reese learned the hard way the need to keep friends and enemies close so that she could see them better. Shiloh never gave a friendly vibe, and Eli was really grimy. And abuser is never high on my characters to like lists. But Auden was the best part of delicious in this edition.

With Some Friends Who Needs Enemies?

Erika B, good read. Reese, had such a pure loving heart. She always wanted the best for anyone in her life. Auden, never had use for women, he met Reese and never knew how much he missed out having his peace. Reese brought out a side of Auden he wasn't used too.
Reese, thought she had a true friend in Shilo unfortunately, Shilo had feelings that weren't kind or true. When A person shows you who they are the first time please believe. This read was good. It showed growth, love, understanding and forgiveness.
To see Auden build a relationship with his dad just made my heart swell. Reese, really had a special touch that had everyone that came in contact with her smile and have warm and fuzzy feelings. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Honestly Reese seemed naive to me. She gave ‘I need to have this girl in my life’ too much for me. Like she saw signs and continued to try to act like her so called friend wasn’t fake. She cried for no reason on her ended friendship and it annoyed me cause I didn’t see the growth. Seems like she was trying to dismiss it instead of heal.

But baby, Auden loved her through it. He fell for her first and he actually wanted to try with her after he got over his fears. I hate not knowing what happened with his siblings- did he wanna get to know them or what? But Auden character didn’t really do it for me either. It honestly lacked BDE that I expected from a male main character.

This story kind of ran on for me: I was expecting more than it gave and that made me sad. But I loved the parents being there for Reese and the dad opening up and healing.

Deliciously Confused

“A Delicious Touch” was a excellent read. I’m a sucker for a great love story. …and there’s just something about black love that is both magical & intoxicating. Reese & Auden certainly possess that chemistry from first glance. Thereafter, their chemistry evolved into an undeniable passion under the pretense of shared lunch… mmhmm🤔 ! “By any means necessary”, Reese 😘‼️👏🏽👏🏾👏🏿 However, the outlier was Shiloh! …a Friend, barely⁉️…a best friend, definitely Nah!! When, why, where & how? Did I miss something? Possibly another book, providing a context to Shiloh’s funky attitude? Otherwise, I’m baffled why Reese refers to her as a “best friend”. Nonetheless, Reese, Auden & future family needs an updated of their lives/journey in the near future.

Reese & Auden were so cutesy together. At work smiling all hard, sharing glances, eating meals together & flirting heavy. I live for it!

One thing that I didn’t care for was the side-plot between Reese and her “best-friend”. As we say, it gets to a point.. it dragged on for too long which made Reese seem naive; although she was threatening to fight her friend on more than a few occasions. Because why is she still calling Shiloh her best friend when she joked about her previous abuse, called her dumb, talked about her to others and was in contact with her abusive ex. And that’s not even everything that happened. But she is still living with her while calling her a friend????? Make it make sense please!

faith and food

This was such a sweet read Auden and Reese were both dealing with some hurt but found love we they least expected it…..I loved how Reese’s parent guided her with faith without badgering her and how Auden gave the utmost respect and also demanded respect but his dad was hardcore but Reese’s brightness changed him for the better….. now I wanted Resse to put the beat down on Shiloh what was her issue. I really wanted more background on Audens mom and why she left and then cut him out of the will and why Did Eli hurt Reese could it have been something Shiloh said to him but regardless they won in the end

A delicious touch

I loved this book and this couple. Auden and Reese were so cute together. I loved their banter and that they had such an innate sense of wanting and needing to be there for each other. Reese showed Auden it was okay to let a woman in and love her in return and Auden showed Reese that she could have and deserved love after the trauma she experienced from her previous relationship. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to what will come next from this author.

This was really sweet. Auden and Reese just went with the flow and not only found peace in each other but were able to heal some of their personal issues too. Shiloh should be ashamed of herself, but I will say moms be knowing! Reese's parents gave her the space she needed to figure her stuff out and never said I told you so. I would love a spinoff for Auden's dad. He was done dirty and didn't believe in love and taught his son some sour ideologies but Reese's "Delicious Touch" was enough to show father and son that all women are not the same.

I really dug it

This was really entertaining and had me chuckling a few times. I loved Auden and how he treated Reese, I loved how Reese took care of Auden and his dad, and I loved her relationship with her parents. It did irk me how long she put up with Shiloh and kept referring to her as her best friend despite how much she blatantly disrespected her, and even after she distanced herself (finally) how she kept crying about it. That was irritating but other than that, I loved the story.

Beautifully written book. I love the title. I enjoyed the development of Reese and Auden's relationship. I absolutely admire Reese and Auden's attitude of always moving forward. Regardless of the circumstances. Each have their own revelations, some bitter and some sweet but a lesson learned. Unfortunately, there will be haters. Like they say, let them be your motivators. As always, it's a pleasure reading your books 🥰

Lovely

What a sweet love story. I had a good time living in this story. I only wish we could have witnessed their wedding. It will be beautiful I’m sure. This couple were destined to be together. Fate sure worked in their favor. The roommate wanted to have hands laid on her but she and the ex will reap. Great book. I read it non stop. If you enjoy being in love you will really enjoy this one.

Happy Reading‼️

3.5⭐

I enjoyed reading Auden and Reese's story, but all the grace she gave Shiloh worked my nerves. Time after time, Shiloh showed Reese her behind like all their years of friendship didn't matter. Then she pulled the ultimate betrayal and I was through with Reese shedding tears over someone who didn't have her best interest in mind. Auden, not ever seeing a real example of love surprised me with the way he loved Reese. Overall, A recommended good read.

Cute read

I enjoyed the plot and storyline of this read. I was mildly annoyed about how long it took Reese to shake annoying a** Shiloh, but overall, I enjoyed the two many characters and all their growth. The struggle with his dad was a nice sideline development for Auden, and reading about male emotional progression was refreshing. Overall, nice read.

Cute...

This was a cute little story... I did feel like something was missing, Like I feel like her ex best friend deserved some type of karma. I also just feel like it was very slow paste for me personally, But overall a decent read. We'll definitely check out some more books by this author

Excellent read!! Loved it

Yay for Reese and Auden! These two deserved a win after suffering abandonment, fake friends, distant family and toxic relationships. Glad to see a win on this level for them. Great read, I love everything about the two of them from their personalities to their care and love for those around them.

A Delicious Story

This was such a sweet love story. Short, sweet and I loved the characters in this story. It's always heartbreaking when friends you grew up with turn on you but this is a lesson of be careful who you call your friend and pay attention when the people you love point things out about them.

So enjoyed this story! 💛

Awww I loved this book so much! The story was so well rounded and had plenty of up and downs.
Oh don't let me forget that Shiloh should've gotten a beat down on my that one occasion.
Okay, that's it. 😁

Reese Love

Aiden and Reese were so refreshing. A love that grew from a friendship. Aiden turned that player's card in quick. Shiloh what can I say, so glad Reese finally saw her and let her know how fowl she really was. Great book.

Good Read

This love story between Reese and Auden was beautiful. They met and healed each other despite all the drama. They ended up finding themselves and happiness. I'm disappointed there was not an epilogue of their marriage and kids, but I love the happy ending.

A Good Read 👏🏾

This was a nice read that followed Reese and Auden as they started off as coworkers and became friends to lovers. I loved each character’s story as they overcame the obstacles that were thrown at them. This story is short but it’s good!

This was a quick and super cute read. Auden and Reese had a chemistry that was beautiful from the very beginning. They had no drama within the relationship it was friendship and family drama, but they keep working on their relationship and themselves. Good read.
