Best book I have read on raising an Australian Shepherd. Covers issues for both young and older dogs. I have a 8 year old Aussie and the book mentioned almost everything I did right and wrong with my dog . Highly recommend.

Read a ton of Shwartz's comprehensive guides owning and caring for a particular dog breed. Lastest breeds I've read of her books is the Australian Shepherd (of course!) and the Shetland Sheepdog. There are many, many more. These books are well organized and offer a great general review of the dog. Quick understanding of the breed look, health, temperment, intelligence, etc. The only downfall I could warn is that because there are so many of them (each with a different dog breed focus), there is significant repetition.
