Read this book in middle school. I re-read it 25 years later for nostalgia's sake. It's an OK coming of age story about a girl facing change, losing her friend, standing up for the underdog, etc. But the ending was a little ridiculous and sets a bad example for young kids trying to fit in.

Basically, it signifies a very specific time in YA lit. The early '90s. It doesn't stand the test of time.

Muistaakseni kirjailijan muut lukemani kirjat olivat parempia.
