After a lot of pain and suffering, Jason now has something he can call his own.
With his newly acquired power and the secrets he uncovered, he sets out on a path to cement himself as a pillar in the post-apocalyptic Earth. Using his knowledge and his connection to a certain higher being, the possibilities of his growth were endless.
Jason met new allies that helped him along the way, and enemies that strived to make his life harder. He did what had to be done, and kept on grinding.
However, nothing was ever so easy. That's how life goes. A surprising mishap takes place, and the only one who can solve the problem is Jason.
Does he have what it takes? Is he going to succeed and save the day? And who is the system admin? Who are those deities? And why do they hate Glitchers so much? Hell, who are Glitchers to begin with?
And more importantly, what does an ordinary guy like Jason have to do with any of this stuff?
Find out in System Dilemma, a LitRPG novel that will keep you on your toes for the whole ride.
The first book was entertaining but lacked the details you usually see from a published book, it felt more like a webnovel, but I was at least entertained with how stupidly overpowered the MC was with his moronic but unsettlingly strong class and his regressor knowledge he abused. That felt like the trope this series would work with, kind of like a dollar store One Punch Man, but instead book 2 just randomly nerfs him and the three human rivals turned enemies that were so far behind him in book 1 somehow gain absurd levels out of nowhere and are now strong enough to ruin the MCs lackluster plans and then the book just ends. The author is a pretty crappy writer, even though I enjoyed book 1 it definitely wasn't due to the writing quality, it was strictly because I thought the overpowered regressor thing was interesting and most progression books usually do the opposite and try to make the MCs go from coal to diamond, so with the author killing the only thing that made me look past poor writing quality and a jarring plot, and ending the book with a cliffhanger (if you can call it that, the book just basically ended out of nowhere) I can safely say I have no interest in book 3 and I'm annoyed I wasted a few hours reading this garbage.
I wanted to give it 1 1/2 stars thinking the full book would only be worn 3 but who really knows. The premise of the story could be something good but the author is ruining it by making the MC act, do, and think stupidly for the sake of the plot when common sense dictates he should have done anything other than what the author made him do! Seriously the progression in this so-called book spans a week at most and ends on a cliffhanger. Poor example of a literary work!
This was the definition of a filler book to be honest. The tutorial ended last book and this book consisted of finding a potion maker and avoiding a couple of assassins. Also the author made the decision to give the MC a kryptonite that he can't use his powers more than five times before exploring bc... Reasons after he fought the big bad Last book. The MC also has a super special power that doesn't seem to do anything. So we just kind of see him buying random skills and digging for dinosaurs to score more points. Personally, I feel like if you have a system, it should list your afflictions. Why wouldn't he just be able to buy a cure for this soul connection issue? It's just hanging over him this whole time and it's hard to enjoy a book that doesn't have any rising action or even purpose from chapter to chapter. It's one of the problems with webnovels that are incentivized for chapter count rather than quality. Not sure if I'll read the next.
Jason’s second chance is complicated as ‘the great church’ takes issue with his success
Jason is on his way out of the tutorial with a lead on all other humans and he means to use it well. As he begins to gather the things he needs to gain more tutorial points, he begins to earn the ire of the great church’s deity as he grows more powerful than those originally prophesied to be Earth’s strongest humans. They decide on direct confrontation to kill Jason, which doesn’t work out well for them as they underestimate him. The second plan is more devious and interrupts Jason’s plans for economic domination through potions and mithril gear from him guild. But first he is forced to fight in an intergalactic battle arena to free his new friend, Ratska the prodigy potion brewer. As usual though this conspiracy is layers deep and his patron Loki won’t do much to help as he’s in it to be entertained, right?
The most important thing is that this is above all an enjoyable read/series. However, be warned - it seems like not all of the writer's thoughts/vision make it to the page, and those that do can be garbled sometimes. The pacing can be inconsistent and plot points are disjointed. The MC can come across as manic, as we miss a lot of rationale here or there needed to get a complete and coherent picture, and instead get some strange and less pertinent details. That made it hard for me to stay in it at times, making me wonder out loud if the writer themselves knew what was actually happening on any given page. I'm glad I stuck with it though, it was ultimately fun and I look forward to the next book.
Book 1 was wild but a lot of fun. Book two is all over the place.
Jason is using his foreknowledge to take advantage of every possible opportunity. The Church, who selected three adventurers to lead the group, doesn't like that. Which means that Jason is constantly reacting to what the group does and that doesn't allow a lot of time to level up.
The editing is not as good as in book one, but the stats are still there. I found that book two careens from one disaster to the next without taking a moment to breath before the next scenario. It's also clear that Jason isn't very inventive or creative as he follows what was done the first time around to a T.
I wanted to like this but ultimately, I couldn't. There are still some good moments but not enough to raise it to five stars. I'm not going to read book three as there are too many other good books out there to read right now. 4/5*
Stupid MC going after gnomes and wasting time trying to build a guild. Couldve hunted and secured all the precious resources on the planet but trades it all for gnome. Has ultimate cosmic powers and knowledge and his progression and evolution is too rapid, resulting in little to no true adversity. Finished second book but third is unavailable and not gonna spend money on it. Plus dont think the author can adequately wrap up the story in just the third book, and doesnt seem the author intends to writw a fourth. Such a shame because the first book was decent but only goes downhill from there.

Mannerism and logical thinking are a mess in this book. I was hoping the weird habits of the characters would lessen and some proofreader hired for quality assurance, but no.
The biggest gripe is that I'm constantly asking, "Why did/didn't this character do this in the first place? Thinking about proper solutions is a sign of well written characters, something this MC is lacking.
I definitely enjoy this story. MC is a bit arrogant being a time traveler. But it is more of a condition of how he was previously treated. And his overall goal aside from power is to make life easier for those who were like him. Good series.
General disclaimer: I want to be clear in that I do not factor cost into any review and as such, this is simply a reflection of my enjoyment of the book and in no way reflects cost to value analysis.
This 2nd book in the series is as good as the 1st...with just as bad editing.
As I reviewed in the 1st book, I'm really enjoying the story, but I'm not enjoying the editing. There are too many tense errors, punctuation errors, and plot inconsistencies. But I've already bought the 3rd book, and I'll be starting it as soon as I finish this review! Read the 1st book and, if you like it, you'll enjoy this one too.
There’s so many grammatical errors in this book so many words used in the completely wrong context not even a little correct seriously mate highlight the word and the definition shows up you look like a idiot useibg words you don’t understand
Book was written well and the characters and action continue to be fantastic. However, the ending made me feel like my Kindle glitched and I got an incomplete copy. I’ve never had a more cliffhanger ending than this and I think the way it was handled was bad.
I'm guessing this was translated. Good plot but it's just hard to read. The writing has grammar issues, but more importantly it just feels.. immature. I'm picturing a web novel written by a Japanese teenager basically.
Multiple passes by a strong English editor would have helped.
The first third of the book was mostly filler, not much happens, mostly setting the scene for something in the future. The bad guys aren't all that memorable, and most of the fights are anticlimactic. All that said, the guild building and recruitment sections were enjoyable. Hopefully the next one steps it up. Tom out
With the new setting I was hoping some issues would be worked out. Instead the balance is even worse. The combat is a joke. And the storyline is just ridiculous.
Ok so I have enjoyed they story pretty well so far. However this book just falls a bit short. I can't really point out any one thing wrong with it but I just feel like the mc could make better choices.
Book felt kinda short and rushed. There is really no closure on anything. And I feel as really nothing progressed. Plus the fact that it is a cliff hanger, leaves me infilled as a reader. This should have been the first part of the second book.
Wow it's actually getting worse. The last half of the book was just horrible. The character interaction is cartoon quality. Needs editing in the worst way. Just no. I'm dropping this series.
This was terrible. The MC is totally nerfed for no other reason than "because", there is essentially zero growth/progression through 95% of the book, and it just stops. No conclusions and not even a proper cliff hanger setup. It just stops.
I was on the fence after book one, and book two pushed me right off of it. The writing is, for lack of a better word, weird, and the MC is a belligerent a-hole. Can't be bothered following this story anymore.
