An ancient city... a goddess consumed by passion... and a handsome general...
This story takes place in the ancient temple city of Mulhanabin, where the voluptuous Malia Shai, thought to be a goddess, is consumed by erotic passions that have no outlet. Into this sacred city comes General Veraine—the rugged gladiator-style leader of the occupying army—and he’ll stop at nothing to have her.

Not bad, a naughty book with an actual story. A fictional world, but kind of Egyptian/Roman/Indian-esque, I saw things from all those cultures in it.
The Irolians lead by General Veraine come to Yamani city of Mulhanabin to help defend it from the Horse-eaters, their cultures clash, but Veraine falls in love with their living goddess the Malia Shai, and she in turn falls in love with him.

This was an okay black lace title, not my favorite but certainly not as horrible as a few I've read. It has a very pagan feel and takes place in the past and can get quite brutal at times. The heroine of the tale is a goddess in human form and the hero a conquering alpha male. Both will risk everything to possess each other. I did a lot of skimming as I found most of the book very slow moving. It has a lot of story, too much for this kind of book, if you're asking me :)
