The Man God Uses; 14 Characteristics of a Godly Man by Chuck Smith is a must read. If you are a Christian man or woman who wants to be used by God to further His kingdom, this is a book that you read and re-read. It sheds a whole new light on what it means and what it takes to be chosen by God as a man or woman that He can and will use.

 Chuck Smith was (He went home to be with God on October 3, 2013) a man that God used in mighty ways to further His kingdom here on earth. Rev. Smith founded the Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa with 25 members, by 1965 his influence expanded to include over 1,000 churches across the United States. Charles Ward “Chuck” Smith today is thought of as being one of the most influential figures in modern Christianity. He taught the Bible as being the inspired Word of God that it is, teaching the scriptures as they were without putting his own spin on their meaning. During his time here, he authored a dozen books that have been accepted by Bible scholars as being authoritative and The Man God Uses; 14 Characteristics of a Godly Man is just one of them. This is a must-have a book in every Christian’s library.

I read this over a month or so; I didn't believe rushing through it would be very beneficial. This book went over mostly basic concepts. I really enjoyed the structure for prayer that was presented, and this book was definitely effective in regards to it's helping refocus the reader. Highly recommend.

Straightforward read and guidance on creating the focus of living up to the role God wants to use you in. Good examples from the Bible of other men God has used, how, and why, and how to apply that usage in our current existence.
