First things first, it ends on a cliffhanger and she rudely hasn’t produced book 2 for us yet. Anyways it’s full of action, spice and it gets pretty gory. It does have an over arching storyline that involves mafia, romance, organized crimes. Several trigger warnings are listed. This is such a wild and fun ride and I can’t love it enough! The smut is superb and super detailed! The cliffhanger guts me and I’m immediately ready for book 2. The characters are amazing Spenser/Anna are definitely a favorite of mine! They’re definitely main character vibes for sure no supporting characters here! But atlas we get to our real main characters Val/Justin. They are wonderful together, the chemistry between them is *chefs kiss*. You can expect to find these fine things in this book.

There were so many twists and turns! I can’t believe the ending…not sure I have recovered from it yet.
Justin is a Firefighter who had fell in love with his best friend, but was a little too late (she was dating someone else)
Valentina is in a terrible relationship with her fiancé (won’t spoil that), who ends up seeing Justin again- hoping that he could save her.
Man, like I said I though I was reading one thing and then ‘BAM’ the book turned into something else.

I have been so excited for this book to come out! I was lucky enough to get an ARC and was able to read it early.
I am now in the mood for pancakes with a substantial amount of syrup and maybe a little bit of therapy to get me through that ending 😅. When sh*t hits the fan in the last 10% of the book you know you're in for something! I love that we get to see Val find herself again and how she takes time to work through and grow through her past. Plus you can’t go wrong with a bada** MFC. I can’t wait to see where these characters go in the future!

Anchor Point is the first book in the Tormented Symphony series, which is currently planned to be five books. Be forewarned, this book ends on a cliffhanger, and the second book is not expected until September 2023.
Anchor Point is not a lighthearted book. I think I'd characterize it as a mafia-based, second chance, dark romance. I highly encourage you to review the trigger warnings before delving in as your mental health is too important. If you are okay with everything described, then run and grab yourself a copy!
This book grabbed me from the beginning, and has not let me go. I can't stop thinking about it.
The story has so much going on, with multiple characters, many of whom will be explored in the coming books. This book is primarily about Valentina Amelia Fiore(lli) and Justin Campbell. Val and Justin knew each other in school. They were best friends, who enjoyed a night of passion after graduation. They loved one another, but Justin was leaving town and Val had other plans.
They bump into each other at a grocery store five years later and Justin can instantly see that Val has changed. She is betrothed to a man named Marco De La Rosa who is physically, mentally and emotionally abusive towards her. Justin doesn't know what happened to the woman he knew, but he knows he needs to get her out. Marco is a horrible, evil individual who clearly lacks a heart and soul. Just saying...
When Val finally reaches out for help, Justin runs to her. He is determined to help her move on from years of abuse and become the strong, beautiful woman he knew. She soon discovers that she is the heir to her father's business - Vegas' mafia! This comes as a huge shock and she isn't sure she can, or even wants to, step into those shoes.
I won't say more because I don't want to spoil anything for you. This book is so good! It is like watching an epic action adventure movie, with twists and turns. It will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, madly flipping pages to see what's next. It also is deliciously spicy. If you prefer a clean read, move along. This is definitely not that kind of book.
We're also introduced to some other amazing characters including:
Spencer West, Justin's paramedic partner who might love pancakes more than anything in the world... except maybe his sister Cassie. You might be interested to know that the author used @thecreekman as inspiration. Yum!
Anna Graham, a detective with LVPD who has amazing marksmanship. She's also friends with Val, and definitely has eyes for Spencer, but who wouldn't?
Uncle Rico, Justin's uncle, and Val's father's business partner.
Bella De La Rosa, Marco's sister, and a vixen who knows how to use a whip. Don't worry - she hates Marco too!
I can't wait to read more of this series, and learn more about all these wonderful characters. I am incredibly impressed by the author. This is her debut novel, and she drew upon her own life events when writing Val's story. Heartbreaking and inspirational.
Here are just a few of the passages I highlighted, as there are many:

She was the strongest person I had ever known, overcoming so much trauma, so much pain, and still standing, still breathing.
I wanted to make love to her with the sunrise, worship her body, treat her like the queen she was, and how she deserved to be treated. I wanted her to feel honored and cherished.
Seriously, how beautiful is that?
This is one of my favourite lines:
Her presence calms the most violent storms in us, her touch extinguishes the destructive fires in our souls, and we are not worthy of her.
Oh, and this one:
He thinks we're done. Nikita purred in my mind. We're not f**king done.
That's from Val. I won't tell you who it is about, but I love that line!
While I stew trying to figure out this cliffhanger, I will likely need to read it again. I definitely need an autographed first edition of this gem.

My Thoughts~ The amount of emotional havoc that Wrecked my brainnnn while reading this book 👌 I can't even count how many times I screamed WHAT throughout this book. Absolutely 100% loved the writing of this book, the attention to details and the character building were on point.
I felt so many feelings for Val reading this I was worried at first with reading what she had to go through it was hard to stomach but the way she pulled through I love that for her. She went from being portrayed as this fragile broken down girl to an empowered bad a** woman.
Justin was such a phenomenal man and everything that Val needed, the kind of love he gave her, What ensued after Val opened up to Justin and let him in was pure care and tenderness. With the kind of rough love they both didn't know they needed.
THE SPICEEEEE 😍🤦♀️ I would like to say I probably found my fav smut scene of all time so far just saying 👌👌👌 Justin and Val are nothing shy of HAWTT.
Spencer and his pancakes the amount of times this man was thinking about pancakes I could heavily relate 🤣 definitely loved the relationships that were built with him and can't wait for more of him😍
In the end I was absolutely wrecked in all of the ways and to say the least it will be pure torture while waiting for the next book.

This book is an amazing, anxiety inducing, adrenaline rush, with a side of whiplash kind of read. This is an action packed read; so hold on tight you’re in for an incredible ride.

The emotions in this book are intense and incredibly well written. I felt so much. I would recommend locking yourself away to be undisturbed to binge read this book. It is dark so please check trigger and content warnings.
This book features Valentina (Val) and Justin’s story. They have a shot at a second chance to be together but it’s an uphill battle. But if there was ever a couple that can do it - it’s them. Justin will stop at nothing to protect Val; she is his Queen. Val is an absolute b@da$$!!! Her life is turned upside down and she goes through hell. But being the true queen she is - she’s resilient, strong, and a force to be reckoned with.
They left me swooning. The chemistry between these two is unmatched. And when it comes to the ‘bedroom’ these two are hotttt. Val and Justin are that couple, a queen and her king.
I have to give a shout out to the supporting characters in this book as well. They all play such dynamic and important roles. I could keep going on about how much I enjoyed this book but I don't want to give anything away. This book deserves more than 5 stars!!!

❤️🔥I recently finished Anchor Point, a dark mafia romance, and the first book of the planned series, Tormented, by debut author Sarah Daniels, and wow!
This story was action packed with a heartbreaking second chance romance, an intriguing plot, wickedly delicious spice, gruesome realities, a beautiful found family, and accurate mental health representation.
❤️🔥I couldn’t get enough of our main characters Justin and Valentina. Unfortunately, after five long years apart their relationship is rekindled through a series of torturous events that left Valentina beaten, bruised, barely breathing, utterly traumatized, but not quite broken.
I loved the new found relationship that forms between Justin and Valentina as the story continues to unfold, and their resilience despite all that they have and will continue to endure together. Justin’s patience, love, and fierce protectiveness for Valentina is consuming, passionate, tender and yet completely feral.
❤️🔥The side characters in this story honestly felt more like main characters and I absolutely loved them as they formed their own found family. There were moments that were really difficult to accompany the characters through, moments of love and hope, and moments that left me feeling broken.
As this is a planned series, Anchor Point does end on a cliffhanger.
❤️🔥 I recommend this story to those who enjoy dark mafia romance and dark romance.

Y’all I read this book in like 24hrs. It was so good I simply couldn’t put it down. It’s so fast paced while still providing the perfect amount of detail. Alsooo the cliffhanger?!
Through this book we meet Valentina and learn about her horrible relationship with her fiancé Marco. In comes Justin, her saving grace. I mean who doesn’t love a second chance romance?! There are twists and turns, mafia families, so much smut and everyone has a secret.
I loved how broken the two main characters are. They are raw, emotional, and absolutely destroyed. They feel so relatable. Learning about their experiences and seeing how they process them was probably one of my favorite parts.
We can’t forget about the lovely side characters though. Anna and Spencer are absolutely everything! (Read Flash Point and you get to know them so much more!) Anna is a total badass who cares so deeply about her people. I don’t think I’ll ever get over how Spencer is a big teddy bear and his love for pancakes!
Overall this book will rip your heart out, make you cry, have you filled with anxiety and then absolutely jumping for joy! I loved every single second of it and can’t wait to read more from Sarah!

This is author Sarah Daniels debut novel and she absolutely nailed it! Justin & Valentina have a chance run in after 5 years apart and their worlds turn upside down. Nothing is as it seems, friends are holding huge secrets and Valentina is struggling to survive. The depth of the characters and their individual stories are amazing and keep you wanting more. I have a million words for this story but I can’t bring myself to spoil it for anyone so please, please read it for yourself.

The story is absolutely incredible laced with the perfect amount of smut.
Valentina, oh my gosh, this girl and the way she grows and because such a badass through the story is perfect. It was truly inspiring all that she overcame.
Justin, oof, I need me a Justin. This absolute sweetheart that will absolutely kill for her girl and know how to treat her like a Queen when needed and a whore when it’s time.
Spencer, I love Spencer and Justin bromance and friendship. However, I’m not ruining spoilers so all I’ll say is I’m sad.

The start of this book when Valentina still was with Marco was very hard for me to read because it described everything she had to go through and it broke my heart to pieces.
In the start I thought Val would be this sweet girl but I she is a stabby girl. If you anger and disrespect her she will stab you, she loves her knife!
And our firefighter Justin, he loves Val so much and would do anything for her. He stands up for her, supports her both openly and in private (😉)
The love these two has for each other is really strong and special and I hope that everything will be figured out in the next book because that cliffhanger had me stressed out!! I received this book as an ARC from the author..
This book is amazing! I devoured over half of it in one sitting and probably would've finished it if I hadn't made myself put it down to go to bed.
Val is a great character, and I love that she's not 'perfect'. Her scars, literal and figurative, make her relatable. All of the characters, minus Marco because fuck that guy!, are amazing and well written.
I cannot wait to see what happens next and look forward to working with Ms. Daniel's again in the future.

I am not usually a fan of Mafia plots in media, but this one is done SO WELL and I absolutely LOVED IT! The spice? *chef's kiss* The characters? INCREDIBLE! Even the "side" characters get fleshed out and feel like real people!

The literal only reason this is a 4.5-star instead of a 5-star is because there were a few scenes that went from serious to spicy a bit too fast for my liking, but other than that one little gripe, I absolutely loved this whole book!

Honestly, I could not put this book down! This is the first book that I finished within 24 hours! 😳 This book had me on my toes the entire time! Sarah is an amazing writer and the way she describes everything allowed me to visualize exactly what is going on while I was reading, which is always a plus for me! ☺️

The characters started off as best friends in school but unfortunately could not be together due to Justin moving and Valentina being in a relationship with the antagonist, Marco (#fuckmarco). Justin’s love for Valentina really helped her overcome her fears and turn into a super BADASS woman! 👏🏻

They have no idea what’s coming in either of their lives but boy you should be ready as a reader for some dark stuff.
There are some definite trigger warnings that Sarah indicates in the very beginning of the book so definitely make sure you pay attention to those before you read.
However, if you can, I definitely recommend you read this book and any other she may come out with!

This was a long awaited debut novel from indie author, Sarah Daniels, and I’m happy to report that she did not disappoint! Before I get into my review, I just want to thank Sarah for being such a great author host in our group chat on IG! Our two main characters, Justin and Valentina, are friends who reconnect when Valentina reaches out to Justin during an emergency. The supporting characters, Spencer and Anna specifically, are strongly written and integral parts of the story. Every character feels like they are a part of the story for a reason, which doesn’t always happen in new books!

Anchor is a dark story with all your favourite tropes! Mafia meets firefighter paramedics, detectives, old friends to lovers and a lot more...
I am highly invested in this story. The characters and their dynamic is well written. The dialogues flow excellent together. Every one has their own story but they also have their own story together. The plot is interesting and full with action and romance and great spice.
Valentine is a great and strong FMC. A abusive fiance doesn't stop her from being a powerfull and sexy heiress of the mafia. From a broken down doll she becomes a new and stronger version of herself.
Justin is a smart, handsome, kind and mischievous guy who can't be stopped by anyone from being with Valentina again.
Their dynamic is beautiful, spicy and full of love.
Throughout the story you read through multiple povs of Valentina, Justin and Spencer. Spencer is the best friend of Justin and he has a hilarious whitty character but behind his mask is laying pain and a sad story. Anne is the detective friend of Valentina. She isn't afraid of the dark and sinister underbelly of crime.
The story ends on a cliffhanger and I have to know what happens next!

I absolutely love Val and Justin , this book will have you in your feels, and ends on a cliffhanger . If you like mafia, some action as well , please make sure you check the triggers . The chemistry between Val and busting is perfect. I absolutely adore them. Spender and Anna I need more of lol they are def a favorite for me . This is an incredible start to this series. This is Val and Justin story. They fall in love as best friend but went their separate ways only to reunion 5 years later. Both have change from all things they have been through. Now Val is betrothed to an evil man who does nothing but abuse her and when she had enough she reach out to Justin for help. That where their journey gets more dark and twists as they have to fight for each other. But nothing will prepare you for the cliffhanger end. I for one can’t wait for the next book.

I don't have words for this book... no I have a lot to say I am just shocked. Anchor Point is a dark, mafia, firefighter/ paramedic romance so please read trigger warnings and take them seriously as some scenes may be difficult to read. This is a series and ends on a cliffhangers so there will be no spoilers in this review. I went into this very open minded and kind of blind despite the teasers I saw, I wanted to get the whole picture at once.
Valentina and Justin were best friends when they were in school and always had a love for each other but went their separate ways when Justin moved to Las Vegas for training after high school. Years later when they run into each other Valentina has a distasteful fiancé that she is silently begging him to save her from. Throughout the story we see multiple characters of the group fight their own demons and fight together to not only help our FMC but help each other. When secrets are revealed it's time for Valentina to step up and take her father's place as head of the family to take down her Fiancé Marco and save her friends and finally free herself from the pain and trauma he caused her.
This story was quite the ride. There is a lot of action throughout the book as well as some spice.
