With one pair of scissors, two brushes, three jars of paint, four balls of yarn, and five crayons Pup makes six birds, seven monster masks, eight elephants, and nine pigs, while his mother makes him ten cookies
Pup's numbers is on my favorite shelf because it is a cute story that helps children learn how to count. In this story, children will see numbers as real life objects, prepping them for common core standards in Kindergarten!
In the reading classroom, teachers can use this book in math as a literacy component in the lesson. This book would also be a great resource to offer to students that need additional help with counting objects.
1. Rating: 3 2. No book review could be found. 3. This would be a good book for students who are just learning their numbers. Pup counts to 10 while collecting certain amounts of different materials to do an art project with. The illustrations are colorful and big so the students could look at them for more support or practice counting.
