Getting arrested and facing 25 years imprisonment is an outcome that writer Maeve Collins could never have envisaged when she decided to approach the devastatingly handsome billionaire attorney who has captivated her heart and fueled her desires for the past five years.

What she proposed was a no-frills, no-consequences, and no-strings-attached night with a man who, under normal circumstances, would never look her way given her current state of destitution and irrelevance.

But unbelievably, he does look her way, and she is swept up in a whirlwind affair that dangles all her fervent dreams before her eyes.

Until it is suddenly snatched away.

He discovers the true motive behind her involvement with him and goes straight for blood. First hers, and then the entire publishing industry.

Fair Use is a dark and steamy stand-alone legal billionaire romance. Contains explicit content and profanity so viewer discretion is advised.

Without a doubt, every page of this novel has completely captivated me. Omoye's literary talents are simply extraordinary, weaving a style that seamlessly blends captivating passion with insightful critiques of the literary world. This work not only immerses you in a compelling plot but also serves as an invaluable source of knowledge on crucial issues such as copyright and creative freedom.

To me, what truly sets this work apart is its remarkable ability to embrace and celebrate a wide range of tastes and preferences without passing judgment or excluding anyone. The author also approaches the topic of fanfics with sensitivity and an open mind, dispelling the prejudices that often surround this genre.

The experience of reading this work has undeniably been an enriching adventure. I am eagerly looking forward to diving back into the world Omoye has masterfully crafted and continuing to explore its countless nuances.

I cannot recommend this work highly enough. It stands as a testament to the author's literary prowess and depth of thought, and is essential reading for any literary enthusiast.

I thoroughly enjoyed how the chapters bounced between Maeve, Lennon, and the trial. It was nice to see the perspectives of each character and how their relationship developed, as well as the added unfolding of the trial. I thought it flowed nicely and ultimately pulled everything together at the end. It was certainly refreshing to read a book with a real storyline and not just spice on every other page. It was perfectly sprinkled throughout and more often than not, I felt real passion developing between Maeve and Lennon.

The reference to Flint gave me some feels and l found myself comparing the premise to what is currently happening with authors and how they are (aren’t?) getting paid for their work.

Overall, I thought it felt personal to the author and was well-written and thought-provoking.

"You're a fucking dream, is what flows through my head, but whether it actually comes out as words, I cannot tell."

Maeve is a freelance author who writes stories for a publisher but also has her eye out for a big shot lawyer Lennon. She proposes to him a contract for a one night of fun, which turns out into more.

This was the first time reading a book by this author, and they did not disappoint!! The writing of this book is so different (in a good way). I was hooked from the first few chapters. I personally loved the going back and fourth of the court case to what was happening and loved how the ending tied in together. I loved the twist and turns throughout the book, it really kept me on my toes while reading and always leaving me wanting to continue to read.

I loved Lennon's development throughout the book. I can't wait to read more from this author and the future epilogues for Maeve and Lennon. If you are looking for a good plot story with really good spice, read this book!

I received this book as an ARC. This review contains my honest opinions.
At first I found the book hard to get into and was confused with the back and forth. It’s written in a very interesting format that can be difficult to get use to, however, when you do, it’s great. I started considering the transcripts sort of like a flashback scene. The character development was great and the plot kept me on my toes trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I was sad the book ended in a cliffhanger, was the case won? How did she find out about June and Ian? What happened to his mom? But this allows for other stories to be told and I would be very excited to read more of the storyline.

The story line is one that I haven’t read a million times!! I will admit that the transitions between the past and present were somewhat hard to get used to, or at least for me to figure out what was actually going on. Once I got past that, I was hooked! Mauve is the underdog and has a low self worth. she is very head strong tho, and it benefits her in the end. Lennon starts off as a villain, but I promise, you will love him.

I’m a little distraught about the ending. There is enough information given to at you could reasonably guess what happens. But somehow, I want more of this story. And possibly a 2nd book about Juniper and Ian…

Loved this story- very different from anything else I’ve read! It has the perfect balance of plot and spice IMO. LOVED seeing Lennon come out of his shell for Maeve and his passion for her. One thing I really dont like to see in a story is when theres drama/fights/breakups that could have been easily avoided if the MCs communicated like adults- this book doesn’t do that which I REALLY appreciated!! Loved that the characters were mature adults(mostly⌚️😁). Would really like to see a book for June and Ian’s story! 👀

*ARC REVIEW*

I received this book as an ARC read so the following will be my true and honest thoughts on the book!

Overall, it had a great storyline. I enjoy the characters a lot. I however found it very difficult to get into. I was confused by the format. I feel like the transcripts should have been held off till between chapters 59 and 60. It was very hard to keep up with the story not knowing what was past, present, and future going from transcript to chapter. I will say it became much easier to read and follow along 1/2 through.

I love Maeve and Lennon!! I really like the cut scenes of being in the court room, and Maeve’s dedication and passion for being a writer. While Maeve’s approach was very forward to Lennon in the beginning, I feel like that helped his attraction to her. It was nice to see Lennon start to fall for her while in the beginning he wanted to use her as a pawn to protect himself. There was a nice balance of plot and spice. ☺️

Can’t wait to read what’s next. :)

I really enjoyed this book!! The author did a fantastic job incorporating both past and present timelines seamlessly. The storyline was one I haven't read before, it was refreshing.
The author truly made me feel every emotion the characters were feeling. I could feel their passion, connection, frustration, everything. She did a great job and I'm REALLY looking forward to read more about these character as well as her other works.

Riveting story with both depth and spice

I always believe that a book is excellently written when I am able to invest myself so wholeheartedly that I develop specific feelings for the characters whether good or bad as though they are real humans before me. This attests to just how great the writing is.
As for the plot, it’s so thoroughly woven together and expressed that it leaves me wanting nothing.
As for the spice, I just have one word; DAMN!!!

Enjoyable first read from this author for me!
You follow Maeve and Lennon and a deal for one night of wild no strings fun and follow the story from there.
There's many twists and turns in the plot and you witness real character development, particularly with Lennon.
It's a lovely novel with a good plot and moderate amount of spice!

I thought this was a good book with a great message! It was nice to see that it doesn’t matter what your employment status is or your wealth, there are some people in the world who can look past it and see the real you! I had a hard time at first understanding the layout of how the story was told, but once I got the hang of it and it started to pick up in speed, I couldn’t put the book down!

interesting read

I was drawn to read this because I like legal cases in real life. It was a touch hard to follow sometimes and the back and forth in timing was challenging. Good book though and excellent spicy scenes

Enjoyed reading it. They author did a good job with portraying the characters and the two timelines. Maeve being someone with low self and her belief in herself was so relatable!!! It is a good read.
