This is book ten of the Twisted Sisters Midlife Maelstrom series and the six Twisted Sisters are talking over plans of how to bring their own touch to the mating ceremony of two of the sisters, to the alpha and beta of the neighbouring wolf pack. They already have a lot of different businesses set up on their family home, Willowberry Plantation, with guided ghost tours done by Cami a former slave, events decorated and catered for on site, a souvenir shop they are in the process of finishing, as well as lots of other ideas. Their home and its grounds have become home to many other magical beings, but they soon find one of them has disappeared, soon followed by another. All those who thought the plantation was safe, are starting to wonder whether it really is anymore. How on earth did someone with an evil intent get past all of their wards? As they search for their missing friends, their familiar, kitten Adele, helps them and uses the knowledge passed over from her mother and the universe to do so. But even her knowledge can’t always give them the answers they require. A search leads them to a hidden cursed object and as they try to break the curse, they find one of their own badly injured as the curse bites back at them. Her husband comes for her and isn’t happy with her sisters for allowing her to be placed in danger, not that they knew what was going to happen! Now they have a sister who could die and they still haven’t managed to find the missing beings from the plantation, nor broken the curse on the mystery object.

The cursed object is somehow linked to Cami’s mother, the ghostly Mary Alice, but it was not a curse made by her, but instead another witch from the past who hated Mary Alice and caused quite a few of the problems Cami’s mother had in the past! An ancient grudge means they need to find a Tainted Witch from the past, whilst also having no idea where their missing friends are, as there is no sign of them on the plantation at all. Extra help has to be called upon, for friends with more magical knowledge and abilities than the sisters, who are the first to acknowledge that from their short time as magical beings themselves. It seems a few of the sisters may be developing some new abilities as well, which could be helpful in what they may have to do to succeed. Their ability to change into dragon form will also help them when they are suddenly attacked by invisible bat shaped demons! Their safe home, no longer seems safe, and they are desperate to figure out how to break the curse and the person responsible, who they have figured out is a tainted witch who must still be alive, rather than a ghost. Searching for a trail to this tainted witch, brings them to a hidden warren of tunnels and more of those pesky demons, as well as a hidden realm. The power of the Twisted Sisters is never stronger than when they are all together, working towards one purpose and with the correct intent in mind. They may be new to magic, but they have already proven how strong they are all together. Coming from such a large family, they have had to work out any issues between them when they were younger, and their mother was instrumental into teaching them this. The story gets to end with a happier note as Dani and Lia’s mating ceremony with Noah and Lucas finally goes ahead and they learn about the magic of the shifter ceremony, whilst still added their own touches. Nice to see the Twisted Sisters finally have a happy event to follow after another magical problem to be solved.

Emile Lou is one of the granddaughters of the Twisted Sisters. She seems to be able to find anything, that may just be her power. Dryads (wood nymphs) arrive and tell the Twisted sisters that one of their number, Theisi is missing. This worries them because of the wards that around the Plantation were presumed to be really strong. So after a few words with the Sisters’ familiar Adele, they trot off to look for the missing dryad. But they find that something bigger is at work and as time goes on, more of those who look to the Sisters disappear. I felt sick to my stomach over this. They try a few spells and a few other things and nothing works, in fact, things get worse. Then they get absolutely crazy! There are a lot of laughs, a few winces, and quite a bit of sympathy pain throughout the book. Then there are a few parts where I chewed on my lip and my nails. Every time they use the book from Athena, I laugh since it is all in riddles. I don’t even try to figure it out anymore as I’m usually wrong. Lol. But, prophecies are usually self-fulfilling. The more you do things to avoid it, the more of the path you are on to complete it.

Meanwhile, we find out more about the plantation and Cami and her mother’s lives. I thought that was way cool. Each book in the series just gets better, and waaaay scarier. I can’t wait to read the next book and maybe it will be a crossover again. I also really enjoyed the planning of the wedding/mating ceremony between Noah and Lucas with Lia and Dani. They are so cute together that I forget that the Sisters are all in their 40s.

Their journey is enthralling with mud bugs and cherished hugs, explicit romance that is consumed by sizzling passion, lust, desire, and spice with all the feelings to have readers' toes curling, divorce, drama, shifters romance, midlife magic, action, adventure, heartfelt emotions, suspense, twisted sisters, midlife maelstrom, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with mud bugs and cherished hugs that are sure to transport readers into a magical world that is wild and unforgettable.

The six Twisted Sisters will come close to being overloaded in this one. First, there are the disappearances of magical creatures that live at the plantation. How did someone get through their wards to snatch them? Then they find a cursed charm which will give them a fit and comes close to destroying one of them. Add in a Dark Witch who has been around since Cami was alive the first time and some demon reptiles and you have a big, scary mess. The sisters have to work together, and with their new familar, to solve this one quickly since the time for Dani and Lia's mating ceremonies is coming up soon and nothing can be allowed to mess that up! I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Wow!! This book started with action and kept up an astonishing amount of action throughout with all the twists and turns a reader could ask for!!! There were high points and low points as always for the sisters when they were stumped on how to solve a problem, but as usual their sisterhood brought home the HEA for the book. With this book ending with a joint mating ceremony the upside was a whole lot bigger than usual especially because they found their lost friends and were able to focus on love and family no matter what!!.

Dance, witches, dance - The sisters are planning a mating ceremony while fending off mystical malice. As they engage in the deadly dance, they will battle spells, demons and other mystical beasties. All clues point to an enemy within, but how did the wards get breached? No evil shall pass onto their grounds. Another wonderful addition to the series, fueled by one of the greatest imaginations I have encountered since J. K. Rowling. I don't know how Ms. Trim does it, especially with four intertwining series, but I am loving it!.

Oh my, the Twisted Sisters didn't disappoint with "Mud Bugs & Cherished Hugs"...I absolutely loved it. I don't know how the author does it but each book I read in the Twisted Sisters series I love.
I had a hard time putting it down.
The Sisters really pulled off some daring feats and it is amazing that no one dies. They are right in the middle of some serious problems all the while planning a dual mating ceremony with 2 of the sisters. The Sister's really come together when times are tough and find lost paranormals and take down a tainted witch.

Highly recommend if you like witches, shifters, ghosts, and a lot of action! This one will take you on one heck of an adventure!

An Ancient Feud Erupts . . .

Dark magic encroaches on the Willowberry Plantation as secrets are discovered. Why did the wards fail? Can the sisters step in to deal with the curses and keep their friends safe? Or will everything be lost to the powerful dark magic?

This was an intriguing and well-paced story, effortlessly weaving together elements of mystery, drama, and adventure, with excellent characters and a great plot to keep the reader’s attention on the story line. Grab your copy and hang on for the ride!

The Twisted Sisters are just about finished with the fireplace they have been working on when two wood nymphs run up to inform them that one of their own is missing. Shortly thereafter, the pixies report that they are also missing someone. The Sisters find themselves facing off against a witch who practices dark magic from Cami's era, and they must fight her to banish her. This story has action and romance, ending on a happy note until the next exciting adventure. Very highly recommended.

The Twisted Sisters are at it again and taking names!! I love how all the personalities clash but work together to solve yet another curse. I can't even! Where does Brenda Trim get all her imagination? To tackle so many series, with crossovers and such, how the heck does she keep it straight? It boggles my mind but I love it and keep coming back for more every single time!!.

Just when you thought it was safe to pause and take a breath, well you were wrong and now the twisted sisters must put their games faces on to save the safe haven they have created from a dark and terrible magic. Secrets, lies, curses, danger, drama and so much more as their sisters have their hands full with this one to save their loved one and the plantation. An incredible addition that had me hooked and on the edge of my seat in places and laughing in others. Wow.

Ancient witch curses.
When another ancient relic shows up on the plantation, the girls have their hands full, trying to break curses and save their people. Action, adventure, danger, and a whole lot of love abound. The one thing I didn't enjoy was the number of times events from the past books were mentioned to give validation to the sisters in this one.

This was another adventure again for the twisted sisters. The bond that they share is inspiring. The love, laughter and unexpected twists and turns that the sisters go through is unconditional.

The bonds between mates is tested but love prevails. Oh to have a love lime fhat. 💜.

I really love the book. It had so much going on all the time. They didn’t even really get out too much. They were mostly in the plantation and maybe a little bit around town, but they did so much and took care of so much. My favorite part was the end. It was fabulous.

I loved this instalment of the Twisted Sisters series. Full of adventure and deftly written, the sisters combat an unexpected foe that caught this reader by surprise too! I simple cannot get enough of this series.

It's an enjoyable book with many fun and quirky moments that are sure to put a smile to your face. I haven't read other books in the series, so it took me a while to catch up, but the story itself is quite interesting. My only small complaint is that the narration could be better. Since it has many characters, sometimes, it becomes difficult to differentiate between them. Otherwise, it's a great book and I'd recommend it to all fantasy fans, especially if you like all things magical.
