The stories here did not age very well for me nor did I find any particularly whimsical and enjoyable. Some are quite problematic which I will explain a bit later. TBH, I'm actually not very fond of this when I was kid, and as an adult with this reread, that feeling remains the same. There is one story in the anthology with unexpected cannibalism, weird. Also, there's lots of conditioning for traditional/expected roles for girls. I wouldn't let a child read this. The art was fabulous though, so it wasn't a complete disaster. Since these are all award winners, I'm wondering right now just how bad the other submitted stories are.
