An ok love story.

Silly book. Characters had no chemistry or any discernable or believable relationships with each other. Story was not particularly evident.

This was an "okay" novel although I didn't particularly enjoy this author's writing, nor did I like the "English/Irish" usage of language for things of a different name here in North America.

Grace Tynan's life is a perfect schedule of selling houses and looking after her three boys; husband, Ewan and ten year old twins, Neil and Jamie. But is Grace happy with this arrangement? Amazing Grace was released a few years ago but I only discovered Clare Dowling last year so I am gradually making my way through her other books. Although Amazing Grace isn't my favourite Clare Dowling book I did find it an enjoyable and amusing read.


My favourite character was Julia as she was at an age where she could say and do as she pleased and she was also stubborn, even when she should have relented and accepted help.

Very much enjoyed. Great chick lit, albeit about an older chick - 34 year old Grace, who is a married real estate agent with two boys and a thoughtless husband and feels totally taken for granted.
Though it's not a happy ending as such, there is no other way it really could have ended, and I enjoyed Grace's journey.
I also liked the elderly lady who this is also about, Julia, who Grace meets while showing her neighbours house.
This book has something to say about family and it's importance, BUT, also the importance of actually wanting to be there, and not just obligation and expectation. A very welcome addition to this genre which so often turns cloying on this subject.
Well done book, kept me turning the pages and was quite funny too in places.

Not really bad, but somehow it lacked tension and sufficient interesting parts. Additionally I found the story a bit far-fetched (you can also call it unrealistic), but I finished the book nevertheless.
