Daniel Reveles brings another helping of stories to the table smooth yet spicy, and bursting with colorful characters. Against a backdrop of life in the border town of Tecate, Reveles offers us glimpses of young lovers and old friends, fierce rivals and friendly conspirators, a few familiar faces and plenty of newcomers. Their lives are peppered with intrigue and heart-breaking surprises, but even the most poignant tales are liberally flavored with the author s wry wisdom and zesty humor. WINNER of the Fourteenth Annual San Diego Book & Writing Awards.
Wonderful kaleidoscope of sweet humorous, human tales about life across the boarder in Tecate, Mexico. Sweetly told with an astringent twist of limón. Humorous and compelling stories from a cultural Mexican point of humor. Riveting reading, full of twists and unexpected turns. Reveles is a marvelous spinner of yarns. Now reading his "Tequila, Lemon, and Salt" book, with anticipated exceptions of another wonderful read. ¡Gracias!
His stories are amazing. I am eager to read more. One story was like a punch in the face. The rest made me laugh and want to eat fish tacos and pan dulce while listening to a live mariachi band.
