From an Unexpected Quarter

Rate this book
The Amomancer Rides Back In! WFDV returns with an arsenal of words and images destined to be sure evidence that Western culture still has the capacity to re-invent itself, even on the frontier of the Digital Renaissance. A collection of all new works, spun from the same emotional tapestries as his award-winning website, the City of Legends; from an unexpected quarter takes the reader on a quest for essence and resolution, passion and hope, drawing delightfully complex and eloquent images from the life that has already given us such classics as "the Goldenheart Cycles" and "Damascus". The developer of the triskadelian canto and the 261 form, WFDV summons the same inner demons that made his first book, 1997's "PanthEon", a favourite with critics and readers around the world. From the cautionary title work to his "anamnesis" series, he demonstrates the same mastery of form, clarity of vision and integrity of passion that have made his works, in the words of Edgar Award Finalist Margaret Moseley, "candlelight read-alouds."

From my official website (link below) and my podcast, available at iTunes Music Store or through my own site [http://www.cityoflegends.com/radio.html], I have a fairly large footprint on the web.

The former host of AOL Writers Club Poets Place "Romantic and Erotic Poetry Group", author of (best estimate) over 15,000 poetic works and one of the few who can lay claim to the sobriquet "Poet Laureate of Cyberspace", I strive to get better, write stronger and connect more with every minute, hour, day and penstroke.

I was born in South Carolina, but grew up all over the place, including 15 years in Morgantown, West Virginia, and a dozen years in the bedroom communities of Washington, DC, but I count Venice Beach, California, my real home.

I have loved some remarkable friends and lovers, fathered three incredible children and still fervently believe my best works are yet to come.

Nine books, 3 CDs and a legacy already well established, I'm just getting warmed up.
