Picked this up in Jackson hole WY on our trip out to the Tetons in this random knife shop- turns out Tim, the author, is friends with the guy who owns the knife shop and this is explained in one of the books chapters. This book concept was great. I love that each chapter is a different adventure. The free diving chapters were epic. For myself: This year I’ve taken a lot of leaps into travel and extreme long distance sport (triathlons). Tim’s search for meaning and psychological expansion in pushing limits of the human body are relatable and inspiring. Thanks for writing this book! It’s one of my favorites.
I’m a 72-year old female with not an athletic bone in my body, but I enjoyed this book. Mr. Walther is obsessed with pushing his body to the limits in every area one can imagine. Sometimes it borders on the ridiculous, but I understand that’s his thing. Prolonged cold water immersion? Uhhhh…
This book is about choosing to fully live, and it’s incredibly inspiring as someone who loves the outdoors. Tim brings us into the heart of what it feels like to stand at the edge of fear, lean forward, and go anyway. Each story is a portal into the deeper human experience. I couldn’t recommend this book more!
