I was gonna be a lot more generous to this book but a quick Google of the author tells me not only is she the godmother of Boris Johnson but her MP father petitioned to release Myra Hindley and supported Section 28 so while I’m all for separating the art from the artist, forgive me for casting a more critical eye over this, at best, mediocre novella.
