***Response to: Facebook Post by Author's husband***
I feel that I must address a concerning post that was made about me by the author's husband, Blake Hudson.
This person found it acceptable to target me and my review of this book on Stephanie Hudson's Facebook Group.
I was absolutely shocked by the lies and disparaging comments that were being made about me by the author's husband and commenters on the post. This post went out to the author's twenty thousands members.
The very fact that the author's husband thinks it is perfectly acceptable to target me and to encourage bullying against me in a group for fans of Stephanie’s series is quite frankly, concerning.
I have never posted in the FB group. I would never bring any negativity to the group as that is not what it is for. It is suppose to be (presumably) a safe space for fans to talk about books and theories? Surely not to bully others? Your post was both intimidatory and unacceptable.
I have been an ardent fan and supporter of Stephanie’s work since Afterlife came out about a decade ago now. So, to see this kind of behaviour be applauded, really saddens me and your actions have soured the books I have loved over the years
A review is just that - a review. They are my opinions and experiences of a book. To try and belittle me simply because you disagree with me is not acceptable. We all have differing opinions. That is a fact of life.
I am now leaving Stephanie Hudson's FB group with a heavy heart. I wish Stephanie all the best in her future works, but I cannot continue to be apart of a group that fosters a culture of bullying.
Mise le meas,
Ailís

I can’t believe what I just read. I'm saddened by this finale. There was no need for a second book for the HEA; Quest of Stone should have been included in book 13.
This was such a non story. The author spent 3/4 of this book stalling, that is the only way I can put it. We are subjected to reading about Amelia pretending to be a maid in 18th Century England and how she has to try and get to Egypt to end the Wraith King once and for all. Except, Amelia doesn't try to leave, instead, she starts her love story with Lucius all over again, but under false pretences.
This goes on for almost 200 pages.
I get that the purpose of her being there was to get pregnant, but why did we have to have 200 pages of it?
The ending was underwhelming and I was saddened as I honestly feel like the author just phoned this finale in. There was no real depth to the book and the ending was abrupt. I kept thinking, there is no way this is the last book as we're nearly done and we still haven't solved Amelia's issues.
I know that they were already married, but there was no big celebration on page about the wedding with her family and Wendy only getting a slim mention in the end as her being a bridesmaid was odd to me, considering how she was a big part of Fae's story in the beginning. We also didn't get a scene with Amelia by Lucius' side, ruling with him and their council as she is now their Queen. I would have loved a longer scene with their twins and maybe some interaction from the wider family too.
I think the storyline should have been tied up in book 13 as that was a far stronger book. Quest of Stone prolonged the plot to the point that there was nothing left to say, so we got a bunch filler and had to pay for another book just to get the ending/epilogue.
