No one paid any attention to the river Lea which ran through North London, until the body of a young homeless girl was pulled out. When a second body was found, Patsy Kelly was called in to discover the river's secrets.
Another great Patsy Kelly book 👍 * It's incredible how Patsy seems to find leads that nobody else does. She has such a way of getting people to talk. * I can't believe that when someone pushed her in the river and tried to kill her, she didn't lose her bloody hat! * But oh dear me Patsy, have you learned nothing? * Billy 🤦 I can't believe he wants to leave Patsy and go to Africa for a year!
Better than previous books. I actually felt sympathy for Patsy this time around, even though I haven't really liked her much in this series. I also, as usual, liked the mystery and plot twists.
I remember reading one or more East End Murders books years ago. The story is good, though not that original. The style of writing could certainly have been much better. But Patsy remains an interesting character.
