Take the Plunge

Rate this book
One weekend could lead to forever if Jett can take the plunge.

Jett didn’t expect to spend the weekend trapped in a remote holiday house with his best friend’s brother. As they try to pass the time, Kian’s bright enthusiasm starts to break through Jett’s gruff defences. When Kian offers to help Jett explore his desires with no strings attached, everything changes.

Fooling around when your heart isn’t on the line is one thing, but when the weekend ends, neither man wants their casual arrangement to end. Past betrayal has made Jett wary of trusting anyone, but even though Kian’s patience seems to be never-ending, Jett knows it’s only a matter of time before ‘no strings’ turns into ‘goodbye’.

Can Jett look past his fear and make the man who’s claimed his heart his?

Take the Plunge is a standalone contemporary M/M romance where a jaded man with a permanent storm cloud over his head falls for a sunshiny optimist. There’s forced proximity, an interfering best friend, swoony moonlight swimming, bi-sexual exploration, and lots of first times.

In her usual fashion Colette Davison gave us a hot and sweet little story to awww over, that begins with a special kind of forced proximity.

—to be specific, with a prank orchestrated by Kian’s big brother who’s also Jett’s best friend. The friends stay the weekend at a cabin, get drunk and when Jett and Kian wake up in one bed they’re cuffed together, their friends all but gone; having taken everything with them that would get them out of there. Except for a note that says, they will be back the next day to pick them up.

Kian had a crush on his brother’s best friend for years and Jett happens to recently gotten more and more curious about being with a man. And Kian is gorgeous! So they begin a no-strings fling with lots of first times that doesn’t end when they eventually get picked up.

“Teach me.”
I press my hand over his heart. “Teach you what?”
“How to touch you. How to be with you.”

Despite it being fun and sexy though, there was not really anything new the story delivered and I was pretty bored with the predictability of it all…

[…] we have sleepy morning sex, him topping me in the missionary position. It’s wonderful, but as I stare into his eyes as he moves deep inside me, my heart falls for him a little more and hurts a little more as a consequence.

…and unfortunately I got even more bored with the rest of the second half. It was like I’ve read it all before and after the first weekend with the prank that started it all there was nothing really interesting happening anymore.

And for that the book was way too long.

One weekend could lead to forever if Jett can Take The Plunge... this was such a sweet and steamy read. After Jett is forced to spend a weekend alone with his best friends brother, Kian, who's had a long time crush on Jett, he's awakened to a whole other side of him he's never really explored. Jett’s been burned in the past and has major trust issues and is a bit of a grump. Kian is a total sweetheart (just love him) and helps to get Jett to relax and start to live his life. During this exploration, they fall in love. There are so many hot and swoon worthy moments, low angst, and hardly any conflict. It's the perfect feel good read! Definitely recommend if you want a light and fluffy, heartwarming story!

4.5 stars. Jett and Kian were a lot of fun to read about. This was a fairly low-angst romance with great banter, fun flirting and excellent sexy times. The way they got together was really fun and an interesting take on the brother’s best friend trope!

Kian was definitely the sunshine in this grumpy/sunshine romance. There was maybe one or two chapters in the entire book that he wasn’t his usual peppy self. Jett had a lot of issues with a past love that he had to work through as well as a bi-awakening that were both handled very well. I loved how patient Kian was with him through everything. Their communication was also really good, no miscommunication and they really tried to tell each other how they were feeling and I loved that.

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed and recommend it! The writing was awesome and I absolutely will be checking out more books by this author.

Kian has had a crush on his brother’s best friend for years, and when they get stuck at his grandfather’s cabin in Scotland, he gladly offers his services as a tutor for the bicurious, Jett. Jett has sworn off relationships and hooking up with Kian starts to feel like he's just using the man...the man who makes him laugh and has become his new comfort zone. Jett struggles with his feelings about Kian for a while but eventually becomes comfortable enough to "stick his toe in the water".

I had a hard time forming any connection to Jett at first. He appeared to only want to be with Kian for the "activities". Eventually Jett began to trust Kian who is so giving and positive even when he finally has to ask for something that HE wants instead of putting Jett first.

There are quite a few very detailed and steamy interactions between the two guys as Jett learns to be with and show his true feelings for Liam. Both are empathetic characters you will want to root for. I could have done with less "interaction" with their friends...but it's a short part of the story. Overall, a sweet story with one man risking it all for his heart and another learning to love and trust again.

This is such a lovely novel that is all about friendship, love and trust.
Jett is this grumpy guy who has a dark cloud above him permanently and Kian is exactly the opposite, sunny and happy, always looking at the bright side of life. I found they complemented each other perfectly and I think that Rufus was the best friend ever setting Jett and Kian together by being stranded in a cabin in the middle of nowhere in Scotland. He certainly knew what could come out of his doing.
I loved how Jett and Kian's relationship evolved, even though they started as FWB, it was obvious from the very beginning that there was so much more between them. Kian had had a crush on Jett since he was a teenager but he didn't rush anything. Kian was the most caring and patient man in the whole world, exactly what Jett needed. I felt so sad learning about Jett's past but it was beautiful to see Kian supporting him unconditionally, even though he thought Jett would eventually break his heart. The other man knew that Kian belonged in his life though and it was so touching to see Jett accept the love he deserved.
This story talks about overcoming a hard past, accepting what happened and moving on. It's about learning to trust again and allowing love to be the needed healing. It is such a beautiful and emotional book, but at the same time it's low angst because both MCs communicate and there is understanding and acceptance, such a lovely combination.

4.25 stars. They are trapped together in a remote holiday house in Scotland.
While Jett is a grumpy guy, Kian is the optimistic sunshine, he’s playful and enthusiastic.
They know each other for years, Kian is Jett’s best friend’s brother. Jett doesn’t know but Kian has a crush on Jett for a long time already.

So they have no transport, no phone, no nothing, except the clothes they wear and each other.
They guess it has to be Rufus, Kian’s brother, who did this, who left them, together.
Here they are, just the two of them, boring, or…? Kian has lots of ideas, (spoiler: sexy ones, lol)

What follows for the rest of the story is so wonderful. Kian helps Jett to relax, to trust again, and to live.
Jett didn’t trust easily these days after being betrayed. He doesn’t want his heart to be broken again, there’s a lot to overcome.
When he did leave his past in the past, a new world opened up. Watch him!

Kian is the sweetest with Jett, risking his own heart, he’s patient, supportive, playful, sexy, and such a good teacher. Yes, they have the best sexy time. And yes! Thank you lordy they fall in love *swoon*

Overall an awesomely written, low-angst, bi-curious, sweet, fun, attractive, engaging, and sexy read.

Initial review- This was wonderful and the screen is really blurry right now… Better review to come.

As my first attempt at a review implies, this was a very sweet story that tugged at my heart, in the best ways.

Kian and Jett are forced to stay at the same vacation home for the weekend. Jett is a workaholic and Kian (who cares about Jett and has had a crush on him for years) offers to help him relax. Jett explores a side of him he never allowed himself to acknowledge before. Their explorations that weekend don’t end and, somewhere along the way, it becomes so much more than secretly fooling around together.

This book is wonderful through and through. It has relatively low angst, with Grumpy/sunshine, Forced proximity, and Best friend’s younger brother/older brother’s best friend tropes. It’s about friendship, family, love, how feelings can change over time, and what amazing things could happen if you just allow yourself to Take the Plunge.

Sweet yet incredibly hot and sexy, this is a story of exploration and self-discovery for Jett. I love that it is best friend’s brother/brother’s best friend, it’s always one of my favorite setups. With how the two of them wound up stranded together, it also took some concern away as I knew I didn’t have to worry about the meddling brother/best friend having an issue with them.

Jett actually handled his newfound attraction for Kian quite well given that he’d only ever been with women previously. My concern was more for Kian since he was the one whose heart was really laid bare, even if Jett wasn’t aware of that fact. The one thing that was glaringly obvious about their arrangement? The two of them together physically were scorching hot. There’s no lack of chemistry here, in fact you’ll see just the opposite.

Even with Kian’s concern that Jett would likely walk away in the end, the angst level wasn’t that high relatively speaking (or it didn’t seem so to me, and I’m not a fan of a lot of angst). Plus both had great support from friends and family, so that was one less thing to have hanging over their heads.

I thought this story was a great read and it’s getting 4.5 stars from me. I’d absolutely recommend this to any M/M romance fan, even more so if this particular trope is your jam. This book is meant for readers 18+ for adult language and sexual content.

Take the Plunge was such a swoony and sweet read! I loved Jett and Kian's story, all the way from them waking up abandoned and handcuffed together in a cabin to their very sweet, happily ever after ending.

I really adored these guys, their dynamic was a lot of fun, with the grumpy / sunshine vibe and some great banter going on between them. Jett had his reasons for being grumpy and not wanting a relationship, and I liked how he and Kian started off with casual hook-ups. Jett needed someone who he knew and could trust, and they already shared some history with Kian being his best friend's little brother.

Jett was so sweet with Kian, and I loved how Jett felt safe enough to explore his sexuality with him. They had some fun flirting and teasing going on, and there were some great hot and steamy scenes as well. Kian was a total sweetheart, he had such a big heart and it was all set on Jett. It warmed my heart to see the effect Kian had on Jett, making him less grumpy and guarded the more time they spent together. I really enjoyed seeing their feelings and relationship develop and how well they fit together - they made me smile so much!

Take the Plunge was a fun and cute read with barely any angst at all. I loved how it started off with the whole handcuff situation, and looking back, these two definitely needed some forced proximity for things to end up the way they did. A great feel-good read if you're looking for something fluffy and heartwarming!

Limited new ways exist to start a novel, regardless of genre, and contemporary fiction is even more constrained in options. “Waking up hungover and handcuffed to my best friend’s little brother while stranded in the middle of the woods” is pretty unique, especially when for the beginning of a contemporary romance instead of, say, a horror story. Jett and Kian’s situation was a bit disconcerting but Kian’s endless optimism nicely balances Jett’s (understandable) grumpiness until the vibe fell solidly on the hilarious side.

Despite the incongruity of the opening hook, the main characters of this story felt very real to me, likely because Davison ensures they were so honest with themselves (even if not always with each other). There is still room and reason for the opposite to exist, but I often find myself preferring books where there is little internalized homophobia-inspired angst in “bi-awakening” scenarios. Jett and Kian make the best of a weird situation in a delightfully sexy manner that flowed well and never felt contrived.

Of course, outside of that initial bubble, Jett’s confidence about wanting Kian fades until he nears jerk territory. However, Davison strings enough clues into the narrative to indicate that his reasoning for protecting his heart is valid. Kian promptly getting in over his head was a bit more expected, but I was pleasantly surprised when the dark moment I originally predicted for this story came much too early! After, I was ready to settle in for the rest of the ride wherever it took me.

Though this may be a love story with a comprehensive romance arc, Jett’s character development and the way he relearns trust are the true heart of this book. A handful of other themes, such as Kian’s decision-making about his future, paled by comparison. Ultimately, Davison balances all aspects of this story into a lovely, low-angst tale I recommended to new and familiar readers of this author.

Take the Plunge is a sweet, sexy romance between Kian and his brother's best friend/long time crush, Jett. Jett also happens to be straight, or so he assumes until the two men are left stranded together at a cabin in the middle of nowhere, Scotland.
Kian is a great guy, a seemingly eternal optimist with a well of patience. He just wants Jett to relax and be a bit less scowly whilst they're stuck for a day or two thanks to his stupid brother. Jett is all about work, both needing the money and the distraction it brings after the hell that was the end of his last relationship. It really brought him down and left a lasting impact on his heart and mind. Kian's suggestion of a little 'helping hand' comes out of the blue to Jett but isn't something he can turn down when he finds himself reacting and wanting to experience that with Kian.
Jett's past relationship has really done a number on his confidence and bank balance but Kian is a really great lift out of that dark place and allows Jett to finally explore this side of himself, and with someone he knows. It's a fairly fast paced story that works well as we move on from the cabin to their regular, every day lives and see how things may be different there. Jett has his IT job to keep him busy and full of stress, while Kian is doing a masters and hangs with his friends. I really enjoyed how the two men are together and that the time is taken for Jett to grow with Kian both physically and emotionally though, understandably, the emotional side takes a bit more time with what he went through.
It's a wonderfully written story with just enough angst that it's not a light and fluffy romance but it's such an easy story to fall in love with. The two men are ridiculously cute together and it's great that we get to read their HEA. Also, I would not be as forgiving as those guys were to Rufus (best friend/brother)! He'd be left hanging for weeks and should count himself lucky it turned out like it did.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Take the Plunge by Colette Davison is contemporary MM best friend's brother, sexual awakening, forced proximity romance. It's low angst, medium heat. It has instalove vibes, but these guys have known each other for years and years.

Jett had the worst luck possible in his past relationship. He tries delving into work as a way to avoid thinking about his ex and the situation she left him in. She broke his heart and his trust. He decides to tag along on a buddies trip at his best friend's family lake house. He doesn't expect to get blackout drunk and wake up handcuffed to his best friend's brother. He doesn't expect his friends would abandon them and take all their spare clothes and shoes either. Or the intense attraction to Kian.

Kian has had a major crush on his brother's best friend since he was young. He "knows" Jett is straight, but he has a bit of cheeky fun flirting with him anyway. When they wake up, hungover and handcuffed to each other, he can't help but offer some fun suggestions on how to pass the time. He never expected Jett to take him up on his generous offer—no strings fun while they're at the cabin.

There's a major grumpy/sunshine aspect to this book, but Kian helps Jett crawl out from under his rain cloud when they develop feelings for each other and continue their agreement after the weekend is up. It was fun to see their relationship blossom.

This book was really sweet and easy to read. They had great chemistry and communication. They definitely needed the push Kian's brother gave them. He suspected they'd work out and be happy together. This was a heartwarming story that I absolutely recommend.

Things take an interesting turn when Jett and Kian find themselves trapped at Kian’s grandfather’s holiday house. Rufus, aka Kian’s brother and Jett’s best friend, believes he is doing them a favor when he handcuffs them together when they are sleeping, steals all the tech, the cars and car keys, all their clothes, and even their shoes when they head out for a weekend away. He knows his brother has always had a crush on Jett and he thinks that Jett may like Kian back if he gets out of his own head. But things aren’t so simple. Jett has been burned badly the last time he fell in love. And he is wary to have any sort of relationship moving forward, especially since he is still facing some consequences. He may need to stop working so much but it will take a lot of patience and kindness for that to happen. Lucky for him Kian excels at both. Kian has always had feelings for Jett but never imagined a chance where Jett could like him back. He knows Kian has his secrets but he can be patient. And he can even be patient if Jett wants to explore bicurious-ness. When these two finally give in to their chemistry it unlocks a whole new thing for them. But will it be enough for Jett to finally let go of the past and start building a real future with Kian? This story was pretty fun! Kian and Jett are a great match. They definitely have that grumpy and sunshine thing going on. A fun story all around!

Sweet and hot!

I loved this sweet and hot story; it’s just the perfect length to read in one evening. Kian’s brother knows that Kian has a crush on Jett so he decides to help him out by trapping them together in a remote location with no transportation or even shoes.

This story was a really fun and spicy take on the forced proximity trope. Jett has had feelings for guys in the past but he’s ignored them. When Kian offers to help him explore his bi-curiosity with no strings he figures why not especially since they’re trapped together anyway.

Kian doesn’t know exactly what happened to change Jett into the grumpy guy he’s been lately but he wants to try and get the old Jett back. He knows that by offering himself to help Jett explore his bi side he’s opening himself up to hurting his heart but he figures it will be worth it no matter how things turn out.

I loved how Colette Davison didn’t immediately tell us everything about what happened to Jett when his girlfriend dumped him. It was quite a way into the story before we learned the truth and by that time I was on pins and needles wanting to learn what happened. Kian is just the sweetest guy and I’m glad that Colette Davison didn’t put him through too much torment before he and Jett got their HEA.

A copy of this book was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

Jett didn't expect to spend a weekend away trapped in a remote holiday house with his best friend's brother Kian or that Kian's enthusiasm would break through his gruff defences and offer to help explore Jett's sexual desires with no strings attached. When the weekend ends neither of them wants their arrangement to end so they just continue. A past betrayal makes Jett very wary of trusting anyone and although Kian's patience is never ending he does wonder when he will end everything. Can Jett look past his fear and make the man who’s claimed his heart his?

I enjoyed this story with the strong Kian who is willing to help Jett but really he is only hurting himself unless there is a way that he can change his mind on the trust and commitment issues. I was glad that their friends made them both think about the arrangement and that it couldn't go on as it was hurting them both (but Kian much more). The problems with his previous girlfriend were a little false as there are ways to manage that kind of debt easier. Easy to read and understand. This is an MM story with mature content including a bi-awakening.

This story focuses on Jett and Kian, who have known each other for years since Kian is Jett's best friend's younger brother. Jett has gone through a betrayal that's affected him financially and emotionally, and while he hasn't told his friends or family what happened, his new workaholic tendencies and bad attitude are apparent. That's when Kian's brother decides to strand Jett and Kian together, hoping to trigger something between them that might make his friend happy again.
I like these men a lot. Kian is sunshiny and way more patient than I can imagine being with Jett. I do wish he wasn't always so willing to come running anytime Jett calls, but I understand that feeling of wanting to drop everything for your special someone. Jett is torn between his new feelings for a man, and specifically for Kian, and his fears of being betrayed again. I love seeing them grow into a real couple.
Each man has supportive friends and family, and I like how easily I can feel their bonds. I also like the sexy and swoony interactions between Kian and Jett. These two are on fire together, but still so sweet. This is a great romance.

Review - Take the plunge by Colette Davison

This was the perfect follow up to the kinky housemate series. This book isn't kinky but It still showcases Colette’s ability to make me fall in love with her boys after two chapters. Jett and Kian are such a sweet couple. The way they first wake up together is quite amusing, Lots of grumpy/sunshine which is my kryptonite. I really enjoyed how things developed between the two. Kian was like a magic potion for Jett. He seemed to relax him by just being there and being himself. Yes there are some steamy times and i love the communication they have about this as for Jett as most of their encounters are his first with a man. Kian was so caring and supportive and went at Jetts pace. There isn't much angst in this one which i really liked, it just seemed to flow so naturally even if they needed Kian’s brother to handcuff them for them to get together. Kian and Jett left me with butterflies. I didn't want to say goodbye to them. I can see this being a new comfort read for me.

Close proximity, BFF’s little brother/brother’s BFF, grumpy/sunshine, and a side of snark? Yes please. I wouldn’t say this was a bisexual awakening. It’s more like a letting go of holding back.

This was a perfect, light read. While a bit predictable, I found myself lost in the story and getting to know the characters. At first it’s just funny because of the delightful chatter of Mr. Sunshine counterbalancing the grumble from Mr. Grumpy-Pants, but as I got further along in the story I quickly realized I liked the two characters and wanted to see Kian see his childhood crush come to fruition and see Jett finally let go and relax. He works too hard and everyone knows it.

This is the perfect read for a day of relaxation, time spent by the pool, or even when you need a palette cleanser after reading a high-angst book. It will have you grinning even when you wanna groan because you saw it coming. Sometimes predictability is a good thing. I predict you’d like Kian and Jett if you pick this book up and give it a go.

Kian and Jett find themselves alone, handcuffed together at a family getaway house for a weekend. The story starts fairly abruptly and dives right into the spicy deliciousness because these two have history (best friend’s little brother, one of our favorite tropes!). Initially it felt like jumping in headfirst — like I was missing something — but as the story evolved (not really a spoiler, they do get out of those handcuffs) I had a much greater appreciation for its structure and by the end I didn’t feel like I was missing anything at all. Jett was traumatized from a previous relationship and Kian had been a little in love with Jett forever — this is either a recipe for broken hearts or we’ll get our HEA (hint, it’s the HEA…). Kian really comes off so well rounded to Jett but I like that the reader gets to see his vulnerability and his acknowledgement that he’s maybe not making the best decisions, but he’s going to go with it. And I mean, yes please. Who wouldn’t? 4.5 stars because I prefer a touch more angst but rounding up.

Kian and Jett find themselves handcuffed and abandoned at the lakehouse by their brother/best friend Rufus. For the record, I would no longer be friends with Rufus after that stunt! But it was definitely a quirky way to start a story.

Jett is pessimistic, closed off, and a workaholic. He’s got a good reason for being so singularly focused. He needs a push to get outside his own head, and maybe even think about opening his heart again.

Kian on the other hand is an open, friendly and cheery man who’s willing to take risks and enjoy life. He’s what Jett needs to see another way to live.

Ultimately it’s a cute story with some sweet characters and a quirky storyline.

Take the Plunge is a beautifully written grumpy/sunshine story about Kian, a ray of sunshine, and Jett, a grumpy workaholic. Kian has had a crush on Jett for years. Jett is Kian's older brother's straight best friend, but that doesn't stop Rufus from leaving his best friend and brother alone in their family's cabin hand cuffed together for a weekend. I really enjoyed this book from the very beginning. The moment Jett and Kian wake up and realize what has happened; that was it I was hooked. I had to know how they ended up in that predicament and what was going to happen next. Kian is so patient with Jett as he realizes he might actually have more than friendly feelings towards Kian and Kian has no problem helping Jett explore his bicuriosity. Jett and Kian are so relatable and sweet together as they fall in love and find their happy ending. I definitely recommend this book.

Take the Plunge is a beautifully written story with wonderful characters and I loved it. Kian and Jett are one of my favorite couples and I love how their relationship evolves. They are perfect for each other even though it does take Jett a while to figure out his new and unexpected feelings for Kian. Kian is very patient, almost too patient at times but I like that once he knows why Jett is so hesitant he gives him the space and time he needs. I hate that Jett had to go through such a difficult time in his previous relationship and how much harder it made his life but Kian is the perfect person to help him. They are exactly what the other needs and I love their strong connection and smoking hot chemistry. The ending is perfect, I love the secondary characters and I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next.

Big fan of Colette's books so was excited to see what was next after the Kinky Housemates series. Take the Plunge did not disappoint. Do enjoy the tropey-goodness of a best friend's brother story and what I really liked here was that best friend here was actively trying to get his BFF and little brother together. By handcuffing them to each and stealing anything that could aid their escape - talk about forced proximity! I adored Kian - he kinda loves that he's forced to be stuck with Jett, he's had a crush on him for forever. Jett wants to explore his bi side and after having his heart broken and trust destroyed he only wants to experiment with Kian. But Kian manages to wiggle his way through the cracks in Jett's walls.
There's a lot of really sweet moments in this one and of course. Highly recommend.

This was a fantastic story with a meddling best friend, bi-curiosity getting a green light, and a teenage crush that may finally get it's greatest wish. Kian has crushed on his big bro's best friend, Jett, since he realized he liked boys. Jett has always been straight but can't deny that he's a little curious when it comes to guys. When Kian's brother schemes to get them together, a match gets lit and it totally catches FIRE! I loved how Kian offered himself as tribute if Jett wanted to explore his bi-curiosity. There was something so sweet about these two being pretty much life-long friends pushing the boundaries of their friendship. Kian is just what Jett needs to get over a terrible betrayal that made him think love was just another four letter word to be avoided at all costs.

I was very happy for Colette to release another book and this was a bit different than her previous books but it was such a fun book to read. It is a low angst best friend's brother romance. Jett is still reeling from the breakup with his fiance who conned him and all he does is work. His best friend gets him drunk in a Scottish lodge and he wakes up handcuffed to his friend's younger brother Kian. Gay Kian has had a crush on Jett for years but never thought he had a chance but they end up spending a fun and hot weekend together and Jett realises he isn't as straight as he thought he was. They continue meeting up after the weekend and Jett is starting to trust Kian and feels lighter than ever. This was such a sweet love story and I loved reading it 💜

*sigh* This was so freaking cute. Another character has been added to my favorites list, Kian is hilarious, sweet, patient, understanding and just the best little ray of sunshine. Poor Jett, couldn’t get out of his head after his life was shattered. Thank goodness even his perpetual storm cloud couldn’t withstand the sunshine personified that is Kian. The forced proximity was so funny and kind of genius on Rufus’s part. It was so great to see Jett start to shed his grumpiness. He was so cute and seriously an amazing boyfriend once he quit getting in his own way. This is a comfort read at its finest. Warm and fuzzy and they learn to communicate! Rather quickly too. So good and so worth the read.

Another pair of fun, lovely characters by an amazing author. While the story felt a little too fast in spots, and required a little suspension of belief, the premise was unique and amusing, the relationship development was enjoyable, and the characters themselves were vibrant and funny with a strong magnetism.

Jett is the ultimate in grumpy characters, who was a bit hard to like at the beginning, with a chip on his shoulder and almost insurmountable lack of trust in love due to his prior relationship. Kian is the irrepressible sunshine character whose banter and humor are absolutely needed to balance out Jett.
Ultimately, this story is a gentle romance with some great characters; another wonderful book by this author.
