"Do a little twirl for me, Daisy Girl. Make it count. Might as well put on a little show."
"You know I'm falling for you, don't you, Daisy Girl?"
"Damn, Daisy Girl. You're making this hard for me."
"I'd like to spend the rest of my sunsets with you, Daisy Girl."
KG Fletcher knocked it out of the park again! I absolutely loved this book, and it was the perfect addition to this series.
Let me tell you ... when I found out this was about Becky and Glen, my mind was blown! 🤯 Like, excuse me? You had me spend the last three books absolutely hating Glen, and now you have me over here loving him so much and rooting for him and Becky so hard. That goes to show you how well this series is written, the amazing character development that happens in each one, and how amazing the author is for making you fall for characters you never thought you would.
"Glen could feel Becky Bennett filling the empty space in his heart slowly, sweetly, with her pretty smile, generosity, and friendly conversation. And somehow, without her even knowing it, she was the one leading him - back to himself."
You get: • Small town romance • Enemies to lovers • Mental & physical abuse representation • Addiction • Redemption • Insane character development • HEA • That's my girl
I saved so many quotations that I had to pick very carefully that ones I loved the most. As you can tell, every time this man said Daisy Girl, I was a puddle of goo 🫠.
I absolutely devoured this book in one day. It was just so so so good, from start to finish! It's also your lucky day because today is release day, so you can read it too!
I really hope the author comes out with some discreet covers because I NEED these for my trophy shelf.
"And then you came along, Glen. And just like that, I'm not lonely anymore."
I was glad to see another book out by one of my favourite authors K.G. Fletcher. One click and it was in my hot little hands.
This is the fourth book in the wonderful The Bennetts of Langston Falls series. It is a steamy standalone romance tale, but I recommend reading them all in order to understand the characters, their lives and where they are coming from. But also, because you will be missing out on so much goodness of the other stories.
Reckless Love is a beautiful slow burn forbidden love tale set in a small town where everyone knows each other. The biggest hurdle is not the town but being the youngest and a girl it’s those pesky older brothers with their noses all up in her business.
This is Becky and Glen’s story. Glen has not been a popular boy, but it seems he has redeemed himself. Now he just has to prove himself not only to Becky but her family as well and the fun begins.
Becky is a big girl something her family, her brothers seem to forget so falling for the enemy is supposed to be a no go. Glen is a changed man and has turned his life and himself around but that doesn’t mean her family will greet him with open arms when they find out who she’s fallen in love with.
This steamy romance has everything you want in a romance story that melts your heart.
I loved this story, and I would highly recommend reading it. I mean who doesn’t like rainbow unicorns?
Glen Kirby is working hard for redemption. He knows he made mistakes and has been sober trying to regain trust from those he hurt for months. Glen knows Becky Bennett is not wiling to trust him, but when Becky beings to talk to him and sees the man he now is he finds himself wanting to spend more time with her.
Becky has her own cooking show on YouTube called the Farmer's Daughter. Her life has been sheltered with helping her father, brothers and whoever happens to be on the Farm. Getting close with Glen is not part of her plans and hiding the fact that they are dating is not ideal. Becky and Glen grow closer but how can they have a future if they are hiding how they feel? What happens when they are found out, will Becky's family support them or try to break them apart?
I felt for Glen because in some ways he comes off as tainted where the others are concerned, even though he is proving himself to be a better man every chance he gets. I really liked Becky, I thought she was relatable and was rooting for her and Glen. Another great book in this series.
I was looking forward to Becky’s journey! And I was here for this read! Glen used to be a part of the Bennett’s lives but life took him down a difficult, dark path. But he’s finally sober and he’s a hard worker. However, Glen is all alone. Becky befriends him and while she is attracted to him, they can only be friends. Yeah, ok … haha I loved this slow burn, friends first relationship between Becky and Glen. I was lost in their journey and felt all the feels! Do yourself a favor and grab this great story today!
This was an unforgettable story that you will not want to put down. It was more than just a small town. Romance boy meets girl and falls in love. You will feel a swirl of emotions as the past and present for Becky and Glenn unravels. This is the story that has many hardships leading to a happy ending. Becky is a sweet Farmgirl and a breath of fresh air. She loved her life, and she loved her career but desires, something more. That something appears in the handsome form of Glen Kirby. Once a family friend, and now nothing more than an enemy. Glen’s history with Becky’s family is tragic and heartbreaking. It represents a time when he dealt with his Demons in all the wrong ways. Together they find out the missing piece is each other. Becky and Glen take a chance with their forbidden love… But are they both ready to overcome all the obstacles to a happy ending? This story will make you and break you watching them stumble. Drama, love, romance, faith, redemption, and family drive this romantic tale.
This is book four of this interconnected standalone series, told in third person POV and leaves you with a HEA. While it can be read as a standalone and doesn’t have a cliffhanger, nor does it Mae you feel like you missed any significant information, in my opinion, it’s more enjoyable to read the series in order from book one.
I was very excited to read this book. Getting to see Rebecca (Becky) periodically in the previous books made me that much more excited for this book. I didn’t see her and Glen becoming a couple at all, it was definitely a shock to me. I spent the last three books hating Glen and was on the fence about him in the beginning of this book. I love a good redemption story and K.G. Fletcher did not disappoint! She had me loving Glen and rooting for him to get his HEA!
Watching Rebecca and Glen go from enemies to lovers was so enjoyable! Learning more about Rebecca had me loving her character even more. But learning more about Glen and seeing a completely different person hidden deep down under the one who has been portrayed, made me absolutely love him as his own character and agreeing that he was the perfect partner for Rebecca!
I didn’t want this book to end. Not only because I love these two, but I love this series and know it’s coming to an end, one I’m not ready for. I’m excited to read the next book in this series along with K.G. Fletcher’s other books and series. I received an advanced readers copy. These thoughts and opinions are my own.
Sometimes there are books that are just so beautiful you want to they are just so beautifully written. Reckless Love by K.G Fletcher is one of those books. I need to go and read the first two books in the series but Glens redemption is written so beautifully and Becky was the perfect compliment to Glen. They suited each other so perfectly. This was a really well written beautiful book.
Is it possible to forgive someone for their past transgressions? KG Fletcher presents the fourth book in The Bennetts of Langston Falls series. Becky Bennett has found her life on the family Christmas Tree Farm and Winery has become dull. Every day she provides meals for her father, brothers, and hired hands. She had become successful on her YouTube Channel since Elyse Farrell had managed to secure promotional deals. When Glen Kirby brings her a bushel of apples, she is reminded of how he had almost killed her brother Teddy and threatened Walt with a loaded gun. However, Walt had offered to help Glen to rebuild his life and buy back his family homestead. Glen had successfully gone through rehab for his addiction, worked sunup to sundown with no complaints. However, his only friend was his black cat, Garth.
Becky sees Glen in town after she placed her Christmas flower decoration order. Glen admitted he had just come from a meeting he attended at the rehab center. He had achieved 8 months of sobriety. Becky insists on buying him a coffee house where they became better acquainted. Glen asked Becky to join him on Halloween for dinner and watch the children in their costumes. She agreed and they spent a delightful evening together. Becky makes Glen an apple pie, deciding to forgive him for his past since her family had done so as well. Walt asked Glen to check in on Becky while their father and brothers were in Nashville. Glen agreed and made baked apples to take to Becky. They spent hours just talking and playing cards. As the weekend continues, the pair spend more time together and their feelings grow. However, they both know her family wouldn’t approve of their relationship.
I felt sympathy for Glen. He really was trying to do the right thing to make his life right. He had no family, no home, and his reputation was based on his past. While the Bennetts said they forgave him, they still reverted to his past on judging his worthiness of seeing Becky. Instead of allowing her to be independent and make decisions as the adult that she was, they kept telling her that he was a bad person. My personal experience made this story relatable and I thought the irrational actions from the brothers were fueled by Samantha and Robyn since they hated Glen and were part of law enforcement. They both looked at statistics and no guarantee that he might not relapse. I automatically dislike them, despite the past books that brought them to become the wives of two of the brothers.
The question of what true forgiveness is brought into focus in this story. Can someone change their life? Once an addict will always be an addict. My opinion is that this statement is untrue. I think anyone can alter their life in a positive and negative way. And to forgive is to not hold a person’s past against them.
Sweet and slow love story with a man looking for forgiveness and redemption, and a woman learning to follow her heart. Becky will wrap you around her finger with her warmness and sunshine and Glen will tug at your heartstrings on his road to recovery in a wonderfully written small town romance. Becky is a woman surrounded by family, all male family, feeling a little lonely, a little lost, and a whole lot smothered. Doesn't help that her popular cooking show is all over the internet and she's got thousands of strangers she feels like she's always putting a show on for. She needs something more, something real. Glen is a man needing to right his wrongs, make amends, and find a way forward. As an old family friend and a man who has done a lot of wrong to the Bennett family, Glen is working on proving that he's a changed man to them, and especially to Becky who he's always been a little in love with. For her part Becky feels like she needs to work on a little forgiveness and maybe be Glen's friend again, maybe focusing on him and how to support him through his recovery will give her that something she's felt is missing. While they're rekindling their friendship Glen is falling a whole lot harder and Becky is realizing when she looks at Glen, she doesn't see her friend, she sees her someone. But with their complicated past comes an uncertain future. Family or love. Forgiveness or anger. At some point they're going to have to choose. KG Fletcher did an amazing job writing about Glen's recovery and all the steps it takes to move forward after being at your lowest. He's written with strength, humility, and a hope that anyone who's seen a little dark can relate to and is by far my favorite character in this story. Love that Becky can see past what he was, the things he's done, but that it didn't happen overnight. A terrific small town romance read!
This is the 4th book in The Bennets of Langston Falls Series. You will definately want to read these books from the beginning so you get a complete picture of the Bennet family and the ups and downs of their lives so far. I have loved this author's writing. These romances are slow burn story's but the writing is beautiful and I really find myself captured by these characters and their stories as they struggle and strive to find love. In this story we focus on the sister to the Bennet Brothers Becky. Becky has been taking care of her brothers and father for a long time. As anyone with brothers know they are definately over protective of Becky which has the disadvantage of making dating and meeting someone tricky. She has been through the ups and downs alongside her brothers so she knows all about the fallout with Glen and she isn't ready to forgive. Even if her brothers are.
Glen is trying to rebuild his life after drugs and alcohol turned him into someone everyone hated. As he makes Amends with his one time friends he also trys to kindle the friendship with Becky. As the pair start to spend time together feelings start to grow which shock them both but neither of them can fight. As they work towards building bridges and the fires of the love start to burn there are still things that could come up that will threaten to tear this pair apart.
Will Becky's brothers accept their relationship? Has Glen really become a changed man? Is their budding romance strong enough to withstand the pressures that will be thrown at it? This is a beautiful enemies to lovers romance that will definately grip your heart. Seeing Glen's character develop through the series to now had me preying he finally finds his happiness, however the path of love is never smooth and this couple will definately have a few bumps to contend with along the way.
We are back on the Bennetts Farm and Becky is lost in her world, loving the role she plays within the family and with her cooking show growing all the time she feels she is missing something in life. With her brothers meeting the loves of there lives she feels she wants what they have and have a family of her own but the only thing is she is attracted to the wrong man.
Glen has been through a lot in his life, but not with sobriety he is trying to make a mends for all the heartbreak and destruction he has caused along the way but god is playing a serious trick on him and he has an attraction to the one woman he can't have or can he. Becky has always been the kind soul and sunshine but can he be enough for her and can he get past the family he has caused so much pain.
But, when something happens that drives Becky away, Glen takes off after her and with none of her family around and just to two of them can they acted on the attraction that has been bubbling for a while or will they both feel they have betrayed her family.
I love this serious and you made us wait for Becky's story you tinker, but it was worth waiting for. In all the other books Becky has always intrigued me and he story was beautiful and heart-breaking in parts. This can be read as a stand alone story as the author brings past history forward so you don't lose any back story.
Glen's character was heart-breaking and brilliant all in one, to see how he cares for Becky and truly shows the love he has for her is beautiful to read, the journey he has gone through is remarkable and Becky is the perfect partner to grow the love he has in his hear.
The story as always is well written and flows just wonderfully through the story, I hope there are more stories to come in this series as I am not ready to let go of Langston Falls.
This story didn’t work for me but I can see how lots of people would enjoy it. It just didn’t click for me personally!
Becky is the only daughter with 4 protective brothers. She’s also a YouTube sensation with her show The Farmer’s Daughter. She keeps up with her social media fans and takes care of her dad and brothers but she’s also terribly lonely at times. She wants someone to love.
Glen has a torrid past with the Bennet family, despite having grown up as a close friend to Becky’s brothers. Glen was often drunk or high which led to many fights, including one that almost killed one of her brothers. But Glen has been sober for almost a year and is now working alongside Becky’s brother on developing a wine that combines the Bennet farm’s grapes with Glen’s farm’s apples. Becky seems to be the only one in her family that holds a grudge and her father encourages her to forgive Glen.
Her forgiveness leads to them becoming friends and eventually more, but Becky’s family will not stand for it. So can their forbidden love survive?
I felt like Becky’s family’s treatment and opinion of Glen changed super quickly back and forth and was sometimes hard to understand. I’m also a person that wants every little interaction as the love interests get to know one another and I feel like there were a few times that an entire evening of theirs would be summarized as them laughing and having fun together, when I wish I had gotten to see what they talked about and how they made each other laugh. I wanted to see more of why they fell for one another specifically, rather than this just being the first man Becky spent time with in a while. But the writing was beautiful and even lyrical at times and it was nice to be back on the Bennett’s farm. So I think everyone’s interest in this story will vary!
This author shows us a different side to the bubbly, caretaking sister Becky Bennett in this one. It is great to see Becky living for herself and finding what she has been missing in her life, love.
Becky has been the caretaker of her dad and 4 brothers since her mother died. She has a successful YouTube channel, she is in talks for a cookbook, she is an event planner on the family farm. Becky has accomplished many of her dreams at a young age. What she is missing is love and companionship. It is hard for her to believe but in the midst of all those people, she is lonely.
Glen Kirby has been through so much and has been the cause of so much pain for the Bennett family. Now, Glen is 8 months sober, working with Walt to create an apple wine blend, regaining his family farm, and rebuilding a truck in his spare time. One day out of the blue, Becky Bennett brings him a homemade apple pie and his life is changing. Becky agrees to be friendly which turns into legitimate friends.
As the friendship deepens, both Becky and Glen realize it could be so much more. The biggest obstacle is her family. They all say they have forgiven Glen. But is that the truth? Do they trust him? Can they see past the man Glen was to see who he is now? When true feelings come out, Becky and Glen are tested.
The author handled Glen’s internal struggle with his addiction with class, humanity, and realism. I want James’ book. I need James’ book. I don’t want James’ book. That means this beautiful series will end. Each book has been heartfelt, had amazing character, and beautifully written. Worth every minute you spend reading and re-reading this series.
#lovealwayswins Reckless Love is the fourth book in the wonderful ‘The Bennetts of Langston Falls’ Series by K.G Fletcher. I feel like every time I review one of Ms. Fletcher’s books that I am repeating myself, because there are only so many ways to say ‘she keeps outdoing herself with each new book she releases’, ‘I LOVE this story’ ‘I think it might be one of her best yet’, ‘she had me swooning while all the emotion strummed at my heart strings’, ‘this is another example of why Ms. Fletcher is on my automatic one-click, no questions asked author list’. But it’s all true, and I am having trouble finding the words to do her book/stories the justice that they deserve. The Bennet’s of Langston Falls is a really fantastic series, each member of the family get their own book, and each one (so far) has captured my heart along the way. This is Becky Bennett’s story – and it’s a fabulous slow-burn, small town, enemies to lovers, romance with all the ingredients needed to make it a captivating read. This book could be read as standalone, but I highly recommend reading the previous books before starting on this one, as they are all superb stories in their own right, and they will all make you feel like you want to stay in Langston Falls and have a Christmas tree farm, listen to music, and hang out with good friends. Another wonderful, contemporary romance with plenty of emotion, chemistry, sizzle, a little drama, forgiveness, redemption, family, taking a chance on love, and much more. Can’t wait for more! Happy Reading!

Despite her fame and substantial success, she’s often lonely and increasingly finds comfort and companionship in Glen Kirby, the one man who is off-limits due to his part crimes and family turmoil with Becky’s brothers. This slow-burn romance was the perfect cozy fall read spanning from a Halloween first date through a hidden courtship over Thanksgiving and Christmas, peaking in drama at Becky’s brother’s New Year’s Eve wedding. Lovers of small town romance, forbidden love, reformed bad boys, and family drama will eat up this sweet and spicy read! A love story of redemption is the next book in the Bennett family series. 5 kids I would assume it’s safe to say 5 books. Which means there’s one left. Do you need to read them all in order? Not really. Reckless Love works very well as a stand alone, since it’s always referencing the past. However the series flows better if you read all of them. Becky, the baby and the lone daughter of the Bennett children, has been taking care of her father and brothers since her mom passed. So when does that leave time for herself? It doesn’t, and she was okay with that. She’s in a place now as her brothers find significant others that she feels lonely and that something is missing. What she didn’t expect was Glen Kirby to be that answer. How does one navigate feelings when the one they have feelings for is the potential enemy. Glen has always had a thing for Becky, but he knows it will never happen. Especially with his past history between him and the Bennett family. 8 months sober he now sees life in a different light, but he’s still harboring some demons of the past. How can one move forward if they can’t let go? Simple they can’t! However Becky leads him down a path where anything is possible. This book is a journey of redemption for Glen. It’s also a book of self discovery for Becky. Both characters show amazing character growth throughout. It’s probably my favorite book in this series to date! Now it’s just a waiting game, at least for me till book 5 is released.
Becky has always done what she can to support her father, brothers, and the farm....while also building her own business via her YouTube following. Lately, however, she is finding herself feeling more alone. But, when everyone goes out of town, imagine her surprise when the one man that she ends up spending time with is the one her family would never accept.
Glen has been making amends for his past digressions. He has found peace working on the farm alongside the Bennetts. But, as his feelings start growing for Becky, he knows that he needs to approach with caution. His history with the family is not going to make it easy. Once he's all in, though, he know he can do with Becky by his side. But, as long-held secrets come out and the brothers make it known that they will not accept this relationship, is Becky strong enough to stand up to her family?
I enjoyed this story. I could feel the struggle Becky was dealing with as she went back and forth between keeping her family happy and making herself happy. If you've read the previous books, you know what Glen has done in the past and how hard it must be for the family to forgive. But, people grow and change and can become better versions of themselves with the proper help. I think Glen is doing just that. I was rooting for him throughout the story and was hoping these two would get their happy ending. It was another good story in this series.
Another enjoyable, engaging and heartwarming romance set in the small town of Langston Falls. I love being back with the Bennett family, and I really felt for Becky Bennett who has four very fiercely protective older brothers. I loved this slow burn, forbidden love story between YouTube sensation Becky who’s cooking show, The Farmer’s Daughter is a big hit, and lumberjack Glen. For Becky although she loves being an online success and the queen of Bennett Farms, she still daydreams about working in the garden of her own house wearing her big floppy hats and overalls. Glen and Becky’s family do not get on, not surprising after Glen nearly killed one of her brothers, and she never expected to develop feelings for him but now that he’s sober, he’s more humble and is easy to talk.
When their secret pining is exposed and knowing her family will never approve Becky leaves town, followed by Glen. The two frenemies can’t fight their feelings any longer which results in a steamy and passionate night together, however, as their relationship develops a dark secret is revealed. As usual the descriptive narrative brought both the small town setting and the characters vividly to life, which made me feel fully immersed in the story. The chemistry between Becky and Glen sizzled off the page and I liked how their forbidden romance developed throughout the book. I was hooked from start to finish and the promised HEA!
Thanks so much to the author and her assistant for the beautiful paperback ARC copy & the chance to give my candid review.
Reckless Love by KG Fletcher
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (0-5) Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 (0-5)
What I’m Starry-Eyed Over: 🤩 The Bennetts of Langston Falls series—North Georgia beauty, country guys and cowboys, & family winery and Christmas tree farm. 🤩 Becky is the only daughter/sister, and this is her forbidden love story. 🤩 Neighbors & childhood friends, but also lots of family baggage. 🤩 Apple bushel and apple pie deliveries. 🤩 Fall/holiday vibes and festivities. 🤩 When Glen and Becky dance and twirl. 🤩 Great representation of addiction recovery and sober life. 🤩 That first hug and head kiss—so tender, hesitant, and natural. 🤩 KG Fletcher builds a good slow-burn. 🤩 The friendship, attraction, secret pining, and steamy moments are all so well written. 🤩 Beach house lovin’. 🤩 The naming of the new apple wine—I totally cried.
What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About: 💫 Not totally a standalone. I’d recommend at least reading book 1 in the series first. But, book two would be helpful too. 💫 More beach house lovin’—after the slow-burn, we really deserve more, maybe even some steam in every room. I’m so greedy. 💫 I really love Glen and Becky in this book, but I’m so disappointed in the rest of the family. My sad/mad grudge is not going away, that’s not really how I wanted to feel at the end of this book.
ARC Book Review Reckless Love A Novel Written By KG Fletcher Fiction - Romance Published October 2023 380 Pages ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
This is the fourth book in the author’s series, The Bennetts of Langston Falls. I have read one other book in this series. I do want to read the other two to learn more about this Georgia family. This book can also be read as a standalone.
The main character in this book is the only female in the Bennett family, Becky. She has four older protective brothers. Becky is a YouTube sensation with her own cooking show, The Farmer’s Daughter. Glen Kirby works at his family’s apple farm. Glen and the Bennett Boys have known each other for years. Glen has a tainted past which was fueled by years of drinking. His past actions caused a rife between him and the Bennetts. He is now eight months sober and trying to change his life. Becky’s father and her brothers have forgiven Glen and are giving him a second chance, but can they forget?
Becky has finally let go of her anger and resentment toward Glen. This has led to a friendship between the two and something more. Is her family willing to accept a relationship between Becky and Glen? Can Glen put away the guilt he has about his past actions?
Readers who love small town, forbidden love, slow burn romances will want to read this book.
“….when I kiss you, it’s gonna be the most important kiss of my entire life.”
Reckless Love by KG Fletcher is available now in eBook and Physical Book ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐ Book Review
Reckless Love is the fourth installment of The Bennetts of Langston Falls series. Although this novel can be read as a standalone with plenty of reference to the past, I highly recommend reading the entire series. The characters are lovable, relatable, and draw you in from the very beginning. This slow burn, forbidden romance, introduces you to Becky and Glen. Becky doesn’t know much more than taking care of her brothers and father since her mother’s passing. She is lonely and longing to enjoy someone special for herself. Glen carries baggage from his past and is eight months sober. He is falling for the girl he knows he can’t have most. Can the two of them move beyond the past and make this relationship work? Or will someone get hurt in the meantime?
Fletcher writes her novels right from the heart. Speaking to touchy topics such as addiction, sobriety, and the hurt it can cause not only a person but their surrounding loved ones. She is devoted to her characters and her readers. Every time I pick up one of her novels I know I can count on taking the journey right along with her characters from beginning to end. I have not read a KG Fletcher novel that I did not like. I highly recommend, not only Reckless Love, but the entire series to all romance novel lovers. You won’t regret it!
Forgiveness, love, redemption, secrets, family and trust.....this is the story that I loved of Becky Bennett and Glen Kirby. Reckless Love gave me all the feels of a slow burn romance, learning "patient love" and I love feeling like I am part of this family with each book of the series. While this book could be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading this series from the begging to get to know the Bennett family as everyone should.
Knowing your past may haunt you, Glen Kirby is trying to make amends piecing his life back together day by day trying to get his farm back. Becky takes care of all the Bennett brothers and her father while they are all working at their family farm. Knowing how successful her cooking show is, Becky longs for simplicity in life...never knowing that around the corner Glen Kirby is there. Becky needs to start with forgiveness toward Glen and his past....but when slowly her walls come down an unexpected spark forms between them. The Bennett brothers are totally against this romance, but that does not stop Becky and Glen. Will the brothers come between Becky and Glen even though they forgave Glen for his past or will Becky and Glen defy all odds and get the HEA that they want and deserve?
I LOVED this book so much and I am already looking forward to Book 5!!! This series is fantastic.
Becky and Glen were friends as kids. Tragic things happened while they were young adults, and the families became enemies. Crimes committed, prices paid, forgiveness earned. Well mostly. Becky didn’t know why everyone else forgave Glen for all his wrong doings, but she couldn’t. Until she tried harder. She looked into herself and tried a little harder to forgive, a little harder to get to know him. Friends turned enemies turned secret lovers.
I really enjoyed this story except the feelings the family had about Glen. They seemed very wishy-washy to me. The brothers, their wives and even Becky’s dad, seemed to feel one way, then felt another way and then again switched their opinions. I am happy with the way it all turned out but they kind of gave me whip lash with their emotions. Becky and Glen however, seemed to have their acts together.
My favorite quotes from this story came from memories of Becky’s mom.
~”every day you’re alive was a special occasion. Every second, every breath, a gift from God.”
~”treat yourself like a person worth special treatment. It was a form of self-care on a hard day.”
Moms know best and I bet she would have straightened this family out quickly.
This story is book 4 in the Bennetts of Langston Falls Series. This book can be read as a stand-alone but I definitely recommend the other 3 books as well!
The only daughter of the Bennett family falls in love with the worst possible person, or so her family thinks. Becky has made a life out of taking care of her dad and brothers and has her own cooking show on YouTube. But she has no romance in her life and is lonely. Her brother Walt has forgiven his friend Glen for the events of the past when Glen was impaired by alcohol and drugs. Walt encourages Becky to forgive him, too. So she does, and they very, very slowly fall for each other. When others figure this out, accusations and venom are spewed. They stick together, and love wins in the end, as we all know it will. My problems with this book include my inability to feel a real spark between the two main characters and the incredible number of cliches in the writing. After the first couple of mentions, I knew it was set in the North Georgia Mountains, but it was pointed out many more times. There was also so much detail about the food and the settings that I found boring and beside the point. I am sorry to be critical because the author was kind enough to send me an ARC of the book. Needless to say, this is my honest opinion.
This is the 4th book in the Bennets of Langston Falls series. Although this can be read as a standalone, it’s well worth reading the entire series to getting a deeper understanding of the characters. I enjoyed the author’s writing style; it flowed nicely and brought the characters to life. I got emotionally invested in their stories, their pasts and potential future. I love characters who show development as the book progresses, and in this instance both Becky and Glen show this development (I particularly liked that Glen’s development didn’t just start in this book, it can be found previously and ties in brilliantly). Their pasts and what they experienced come into play how they initially act and try to rebuild lives and relationships. It was encouraging to read, and I found myself rooting for the pair increasingly as I read on. This was a well-written and at time emotional read that tugs on your heartstrings. The characters find ways into your heart and you can’t help but want them to succeed. I really enjoyed this book, but I do think you get a better appreciation and understanding if you read the entire series. You don’t want to miss out on everyone else!
I can't get enough of this delectable little slice of warm apple pie ! This book is autumn leaves floating on the breeze & hot apple cider warming your hands . I tend to die hard for smutty fantasy books, ngl lol but this one is entirely enchanting all on it's own. Truly lovely writing wraps around you like soft cashmere & creates a swoony little world just for you . Becky is purely radiant with kindness & Glen sparks belief in redemption. The most gently charming love story I have ever read, & brought tears to my eyes many times ... only from admiration of the soft heartedness of it . All good love stories have a touch of uncertainty, but especially great love stories have a cuddle of happily ever after . This is an especially great love story & tbh I think my expectations will never be the same. In all it's wonderful honey coated glory, this book is the perfect thing for cozying up with & finding peace like a golden sunset before the flurry of winter. AND ! the beautiful playlist included at the end is the melty vanilla bean ice cream on top.
Oh my goodness!! I absolutely loved reading, Reckless Love: A Small Town Slow-Burn Forbidden Love Romance (The Bennetts of Langston Falls Book #4) by K.G. Fletcher because it was a beautiful slow burn love story about Becky and Glen. I will admit when I first read about Glen in prior stories, I did not like him. But in reading this story and seeing how far he has come and what he does to redeem himself to Becky and her family, I love this guy now. His character has definitely been through so much and he changes when he is around Becky. I love Becky's character as well. She has been through a lot as well. I love her personality when she is around Glen. This was a slow burning romance that I absolutely loved. Glen was given a second chance at life. Becky needs a change in her life. I received an ARC of this story and I am choosing to voluntarily leave my review. I loved this story and series and I would highly recommend reading.
Story: 7.5/10 Spice: 1/5 Spice Hierarchy:barely cracked door
This was small town, enemies to lovers, brother’s former best friend, forbidden relationship. Becky’s family has always lived close to Glen’s family. Now Glen is working with Becky’s older brother to collab on a wine from their vineyard and his apple farm. There is a deep past full of trauma and drama between Glen and Becky’s family that Becky is having a hard time understanding how everyone forgave Glen so quickly. Or did they? But Becky decides that if everyone else can forgive Glen then she can too and they begin to spend time together.
Becky finds her voice to stand up for herself and Glen against her 4 brothers. Glen is a broken hero. He has had so many past experiences that led him to where he is now. And because of his journey, he is very self-reflective but also hard in himself. He didn’t want to cause any drama for Becky and her family. He respected Becky.
This story was sweet. There was not as much spice as I typically go for but that’s not a bad thing. Just know going in that this book is going to be in the sweeter side of things. It really didn’t impact the reading going into book 4 without reading the others in the series. Although I think it could have given more insight to Glen’s past and his role in the Bennet family. But I liked not having any negative experiences leading into this book for Glen.
Reckless Love was a good read for me. This is book 4 in the series and there are so many characters in the book we have known from other books. Becky Bennett’s career is taking off with her brand and now she is hoping to publish The Farmers Daughters Cookbook. She’s the only daughter in the Bennett family and everywhere she looks she finds happy couples. With Christmas coming up and her family working close with Glen Kirby, she finds a way thanks to her dad to forgive Glen for everything that has happened previously. Glen and Becky end up getting close and hiding it from the brothers until it can’t be hidden anymore. Her brothers are not happy with what’s going on and think it’s a game he is playing. One particular thing happens and maybe it will help her brothers see what’s right in front of them. Will Becky be able to be happy or will her brothers ruin whatever she has been building with Glen?
Becky Bennett is the only girl in a family full of cowboy testosterone force, after her mother's death she did not find her place within her own home, so she took the place of the mother and had it all under control. She is successful by her own means as well, youtube channel cher and sensational planner of events life is good professionally. But her brothers have found love and move on to their own homes and lives, and her? loneliness keeps growing and maybe someday or someone is needed right there.
Glen Kirby used to be a loved one in his community, happy to be an extra Bennett during his childhood gave him a lot of confidence, until disaster strikes and horrible things made out of his hands took all from him. But such is destiny that those who once gave him all, may bless him once again.
This love story is full of adrenaline and passion, tension and regrets, a full roller coaster of happiness, you will read it in one sitting.
