Meg Butler sets sail on the Grand Voyager on a luxury world cruise, eager to visit 30 countries before she's 30. But she hasn't planned on running into murder!
The ship is hosting a Bingo tournament for the length of the cruise. Several passengers are competing for the grand prize which is rumored to be in six figures. Meg runs into a friendly older man who boasts of being a skilled player. He has developed a fool proof strategy that is guaranteed to win him big money. Meg is warmed by his affectionate manner toward her and feels he is the father figure she has always yearned for.
Disaster strikes when Meg's pal drops dead in the middle of a Bingo game. Although the ship authorities declare his death an accident, Meg believes he was murdered. Unfortunately, she is ignored since the man's wife accepts what the security chief says and is ready to move on. But Meg will not give up so easily.
Aided by friends old and new, she starts interviewing the suspects, trying hard to find a motive. Was it money, love or revenge? Or something more sinister? Meg risks her own life as she scours every corner of the ship to find the killer.
Meanwhile, there are new ports to visit as the ship sails through the picturesque South Pacific. And Meg is nursing a big secret her friends know nothing about.

This second book in the Meg Butler Cruise Cozy Mysteries was very enjoyable. The various characters were interesting, and the storyline kept me guessing.
I am curious to find out more after the cliff hanger. I recommend this book to those who enjoy clean, cosy mysteries with strong female pros with sleuthing skills.
Meg Butler is on a world cruise aboard the Grand Voyager. Her reason for the voyage is to secretly evaluate many of the ship's amenities for the company. One of the people she meets early in the voyage is Alan Chamberlain. Alan claims he has a plan that will ensure he wins the Bingo Tournament being held aboard the ship. The award for winning is a huge 8-figure monetary payout. During one of the Bingo Tournament events, the lights go out and when they come back on, Alan Chamberlain is found dead. Security rules his death to be accidental, but Meg feels certain he was murdered.
Was Alan's death an accident or murder? If murder, who killed him? Why would somebody want him dead? Are others in danger? Can Meg unravel the mystery?
Leena Clover has created a wonderful story with great descriptions of some exotic places woven in with the mystery. The story has plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader engaged throughout.
This is a fun story with a minimum of violence and lots of fun. The characters are already known to this reader, and I like all of the employees of cruise ship. The plot is straight forward, and the premise is finding out who killed the kind rich man and why. As usual, the main character finds herself in danger at least once, and her crush seems to be ignoring her till a new man decides she is worth being around. A little mystery, a bit of romance, and a tour of the South Pacific. What more could a body want? I definitely recommend this book.
A fun mystery that has a revisit from characters in book 1. Meg is traveling to the Hawaiian islands and the South Pacific as part of a world voyage. Unfortunately death follows her and her curiosity embroiled her in an investigation. A nice cozy with some romantic tension and quirky characters
Meg is back on board a cruise ship, this time she’s a passenger - sort of. Two murders happen and she will need some help from old friends and new ones. Really good, I enjoyed the story. I can’t wait read the next one.
Good start to a cruise cozy as Meg leaves for 117-day trip around the world. The story was interesting and fueled my wish to go on a cruise. Fun characters. Recommend reading.
