It was a good book, but it has lots to unpack with it. With Lennie accidently killing Curly' wife and George killing him so that Lennie didn't have to go through the brutal death at the hands of lynch mob, instead George showed compassion for Lennie and killed him so he didn't have to suffer as much as he would have at the hands of the other people. Overall, this book is good, it shows a light from the time period it was written in, like with Curly's wife being called just his wife wand not by her name. And how crooks lived in the barn separate from the other people because he is black and, in that era, he was not seen as an equal to the white men.
