Disney: The Ultimate Visual GuideRussell K. Schroeder
The book is an informational piece straight from the Disney archives. The book gives A lot of information on the early life of the animation studio. Russell Schroeder writes about Walt Disney’s early life and how he created the Disney studio. He also writes about all the success that the studio has achieved. Schroeder described events from Disney’s past in a fun and engaging way. He often used facts to inform the reader of every part of Disney’s history. The book has some pages in a vertical format which may be unappealing to some readers. There is also a lack of more modern Disney, so the book mainly focuses on classic Disney animations. It is very similar to many informative texts. If you enjoy learning about Disney then you will have a great time with this novel. I highly recommend this book because it’s a great way to learn about a topic that you may not know about.

This was a short but informative work about the works from Disney up until 2001. I don't know much about the company except for the movies so I was delighted to learn a few more facts about Walter, the parks and overall influence on the US at large, both from an innovative and a business side. It was not too overwhelming to bore me with too many details or numbers.

The layout was not as easy to read as time since pictures were scattered all over the page and no easy way to discern in which order you were supposed to read them. The quality was also not perfect but then again, this is an older book.
I wished every movie had gotten its own spread. Especially the later releases were lumped together and I don't understand why. And they could have added the release dates to get a better grasp at the chronological events.

A wonderful mix of pictures, facts, little known items, and park related items. Interesting for even the non-fan!
