Amanda Sloane's passion has been solely focused on becoming a well-respected, NYC art appraiser. With that appetite sated, she can no longer ignore her body's carnal desires.Tasked with authenticating an uncataloged Randell painting that could be worth millions, she meets a trio of Texas ranch hands who take her on an erotic ride imagined only in her deepest fantasy. Now, Jake is counting on the elegant and sophisticated art appraiser to authenticate his grandaddy's painting to stave off foreclosure on the family ranch. Awakening the big city vixen's sexual hunger has his body ablaze with need and his heart yearning for love. Can Amanda give up the intoxicating pleasure of her sexual awakening? Or is Jake's love unconditional enough to encourage her to continue her erotic odyssey?
Amanda, an art appraiser, is sent to Texas to appraise a painting that is thought to be an original Randall. If she determines it is an original, it could help ranch owners Jake and Justin save their ranch from going to their cousin. While in Texas she sheds her inhibitions and tries many of the fantasies she has. Fortunately, Jake and Justin, and their ranch manager Luke, are willing to help her. Will she be able to help them save the ranch? Will she be able to leave them? Will they be willing to let her go?
I enjoyed this story. Once I had a few hours to sit and read, I could not put it down. This is HOT! I liked how the men, and the women, on the ranch were supportive of each other and their desires. I liked that Amanda kept her eyes open to find other treasures on the ranch for them. Their cousin was a jerk! He got what he deserved. I enjoyed the ending and would like to see more of these characters with more fantasies coming to life.

One Hard Ride is a fast paced erotic novel involving a New York art appraiser who has been hired by the hunky Morgan brothers to determine if a painting is legit in order to pay off a debt. In addition to the steam rolling off most of the pages, we also have action and drama from Winslow, their evil cousin, as the villain trying to take over their ranch.
I enjoyed getting to know Jake, Justin, Luke and even Julie but while I liked Amanda, she was a bit too unprofessional for me. I’m not referring to the whole sex with your client part of the plot but the way she spoke in general. Some of her interactions with the other characters seemed too unsophisticated for an upscale New York art appraiser. The interactions between Mandy and Richard (her boss) in the beginning of the story were again not what I would have expected and it took a little bit for me to warm up to Mandy.
While the sex was so hot and steamy and I felt like I should have taken a cold shower afterwards, some of the plot seemed a bit too good to be true. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but one bad thing happens, they come out smelling like a rose, then another bad thing happens but again they come out smelling like a rose. Why can’t things like that happen to me?
Overall, if you are looking for a hot, sexy read with some hunky cowboys I don’t feel you will be disappointed. I do look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
