Once I started reading Kenzie’s story, I had to see how it ended. The break down of baptism and how she fought for her own understanding was awesome. This is a great read.
WOW! I’m pleasantly surprised by “Better Late Than Never: An African American Christian Romance”. I glad a stumbled upon this Christian author’s work. However, I initially had reservations to proceed b beyond the first chapter: three couples, three girlfriends, one single friend & four different denominations …🤦🏾♀️🫣⁉️But so glad I reserved my judgments (as I shouted at Zena, girl you’re as wrong as two left shoes 🤣😂)and persevered too the end. Ms Santiago did an excellent job with storyline continuity, plot & character respectable development. 👏🏽👏🏾👏🏿💐‼️..a genuine christian (“quickie, again Karl🫤⁉️”) romance 🥰.
I absolutely loved this story. Kenzie's quest for a relationship with a man and even more so for a deeper relationship with God was a righteous journey. I was teary-eyed through most of the book - sometimes with sadness but mostly with joy as she searched for answers and understanding. Neesh did an amazing job of conveying how the Bible can be misinterpreted or taken out of context to prove someone's point. I recently discovered this author via her book 'Pray For Me' and I am absolutely blown away by her work. I'm just disappointed she hasn't written more!! I am already following Neesh and looking forward to whatever comes next. Awesome job, Ms. Santiago 👏
Kenzie the 7th wheel all her friends are married and are parents or becoming parents. See feels like she is behind in life but she is trust God to turn that around for her. Kenzie is battling a fear for water , she almost drowned once and with the desire of being Baptist how will can she fulfill her goal.
Great story and teaching nugget on baptism and the importance as a believer. Worth the read!
The story of Karl and Kenzie shows that digging deeper gives you more. With Kenzie’s fear it caused her to really pursue the scriptures in a quest to totally understand how to couple her desire to be baptized. In relation to Karl, giving him a chance to explain himself led to a better understanding of his situation. Really enjoyed their walk. Looking forward to the continuation of their story.
What a great new book and author that author She Nell recommended and introduced me to! Neesh Santiago, to answer your question at the end, I was certainly hoping that it wasn’t the end😂I thoroughly enjoyed your book and I’m looking forward to the next book and I definitely recommend this book!
This was my first Christian romance and I was pleasantly surprised. Plus there being dialogue about scripture. Yeah honey I’m about to open the serving book
Enjoyed this story about waiting for the right one and seeking the truth and overcoming your fears Author did a great job covering all these topics while including the love story of Karl and Kenzie There is a Part 2 but Part 1 ends on a positive note On to Part 2
Kenzie & Karl. Kenzie is in a desperate search for answers about baptism. Is her salvation complete or is she unsaved? If baptism is required for salvation how can she complete her walk because she is afraid of water. So afraid that she even a tub of water makes her fearful. How can she overcome that? Kenzie met Karl from a dating App. Can he be the man that can help her from being the 7th wheel since her best girlfriends are all married.
What an amazing story that emphasizes reading God's Word in total and context. I enjoyed the story! The clarification and simplification of baptism was pleasantly expressed!
I’d picked this up and was delighted to read well written Christian fiction. I liked the characters and the story was straight forward but interesting! Can’t wait to read more from this author.
