With mandatory retirement, 59 year old Peter wasn't sure what he would do with all the time on his hands. After 37 years of flying as a commercial pilot he thought he might enjoy more time sailing, biking and reading... It’s a pleasant and easy read, and gives you a good insight into what humanitarian flying for the UN is like. However, if any fans of the Dash 7 are hoping for a pilot’s perspective on the aircraft itself, or some anecdotes about it, you’ll be a tad disappointed. The plane is more a side character.
