Who meets their soulmate in the third grade? I did. We were inseparable. After life threw me a few curveballs, I made a conscious choice to protect our friendship and actively thwart any romantic feelings I had for Lily. To do so, I purposely dated women who were her opposite in every way.

After a heated discussion with my current girlfriend, Lily cuts all ties with me. Meanwhile, I'm unaware my best friend was also pining for me. It isn't until tragedy strikes our family do I realize how special Lily is and how losing her completely will break me.

Can we overcome the latest curve thrown our way or are we doomed to unrequited love for the rest of our lives?

The York Beach series featuring the Cappelli Family are standalone romances with interconnecting characters. Each novel focuses on one couple and can be read in any order, but but for maximum enjoyment it is recommended they are read starting with book one.

About the author

Nicole took the long way to deciding on becoming a writer. As young as six, Nicole wrote poems and started drafts of novels.  After over fifteen years as an attorney she decided to give writing an actual try and finish one of her many stories.

Avid reader, lover of coffee and chocolate, and animals. If she isn’t writing, she is driving to the field, watching a game or curled up with a good book and a cup of coffee.  She lives in the Northeast with her husband and their four children.

Leo and Lily, or Stella as he affectionately calls her, are my new favourite fictional couple! They have been best friends, confidants and unwavering supporters of each other for over two decades. They have watched while they each dated others, holding back their true feelings and always working hard to maintain their friendship. A confrontation with his most recent girlfriend finally snaps Lily’s resolve to keep her feelings hidden. She confesses her love to Leo and then distances herself, unable to watch him with someone else any longer. Two long, painful months later, a near fatal incident finally opens both of their eyes to the truth…..they belong together as a couple, not just friends. Nearly losing Leo brings everything into focus for Lily, and his close call reminds him that Lily has always been the one for him. Both have let the fear of losing their friendship stop them from revealing their love to the other. Not any more. From this point on their story is filled with not only a walk down memory lane with regard to their decades long relationship, but also exploring and relishing their new relationship as lovers and building a future together that both had secretly dreamed about for years.

This couples story melted my heart, brought on the tears and left me absolutely beaming. There are many poignant and heart melting moments in this book that will be impossible to forget. I will be reading Lily and Leo’s story over and over again.

How can I live without my best friend?

Leo and Lily have been best friends since the third grade when he pulled her hair! Now, Lily has told him that she doesn't want to see him. Leo is thinking all sorts of things as he heads for their spot. "... By the time I made it to our spot—our bench—all I saw was her taillights.

Lily and Leo's story is sweet yet frustrating lol they have been the best of friends since forever and unknowingly been attracted to each other but neither act on it until a cray cray girlfriend and terrible accident make them admit they want more. But it is no easy street with both of them having fear of losing the other if it doesn't work and needing to also work through their feelings. I loved how we not only have a romance and some good laughs. but also a bit of a mystery in regards to the accident along with seeing family pull together and some familiar faces.

This is the fourth book in this fascinating series, and this is Leo and Lily’s journey. These two have been best friends and inseparable since third grade, and as their feeling have changed over the years they have never acted on them. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, friends / lovers’ romance, with family, friendships, intrigue, suspense, and love, which leads to an entertaining and unpredictable page turner.

Wow, this is a Beautiful love story with a hint of suspense along the way. Lily and Leo are BFFs but she wants more and doesn’t think he does. It takes an accident and hospital stay for them to be brave enough to make the jump from friends to lovers.
I loved how this developed, such a beautiful emotional story. Loved the suspense sub plot along the way.

I can’t wait to read more of this series.

The fourth book in the Cappelli Family series a best friends to lovers story. Lilianna/Lily and Leonardo/Leo's story his nickname for her is Stella and her's for him is Moon. They have known and been friends since third grade. The story held my interest with its suspense, villains and love. I enjoyed reading.
