Looking back through my Kindle notes, I realised I didn't highlight or annotate any quotes in this book at all. It was just completely forgettable. Yet I'm starting to find these books so addictive because I can speed through them in approximately half an hour. Also, it's exam and thesis season and I don't have the time or mental energy to get into a new fantasy book, so this series has been a godsend because I'm not very attached to the world or characters.
The couple here is Caelum/Jade. There's some other-woman drama though 😳😳 And I wasn't expecting it at all. But then I also wasn't expecting it to be resolved quickly. Storylines basically don't really exist in this series, I guess. Wed to the Lionman was something like: they first meet when he saves her in the forest from three men, she gets fired from her job as a maid because the men are from good families, she goes to the Temple, is matched with him, they have insta-lust, have sex after a while, the OW tries to oust the fmc and fails, OW gets lectured by the mmc and is banished, fmc suddenly falls sick (???) but next thing I know, it's the final chapter and she's already recovered. So that's my 80ish-word summary of 87 pages.

З хорошого: ця книжка відрізняється від усіх інших книжок цієї серії, які я прочитала, бо тут герої зустрічаються ще до храму.
Але на цьому все хороше закінчується.
Далі в нас кліше на кліше, банальні діалоги, нуль хімії, кохання, яке з’являється менш ніж за 24 години буквально на рівному місці, а ефірний час ділиться порівну між нею, ним та його колишньою, і так - максимально передбачувана, висмоктана з пальця і драматична розв’язка трикутника теж присутня. А потім ще більше драми під кінець.
Цю книжку не врятували навіть сцени 18+, бо вони були взагалі ніякі.
Дякую лише за те, що новела дуже коротка. Якби вона була більша, то я навіть дочитувати не стала б.

Él quiere volver a casa y tener una esposa esperándolo, quiere cachorros y una familia feliz. Después de que su supuesta pareja destinada lo abandonara por un tigre, el león Caelum envía su ADN al templo para que le encuentren una compañera compatible. Nunca se imaginó que sería la misma mujer que salvó en su forma de león de unos abusadores y que no pudo sacar de sus pensamientos.
Jade lo único que quiere es vivir su vida tranquila pero la vida le tira solo malos ratos, después de que los hijos de unas familias prestigiosas la persiguieran para hacerle daño, tiene que dejar su trabajo y buscar refugio en el Templo. Su única salida es casarse con un monstruo. No parece malo una vez que conoce a Caelum, un león solo quiere una esposa que lo ame y ella está dispuesta a intentarlo...
Disfruté leyendo esta pequeña historia de amor. No hay mucha acción ni nada grandioso pero disfruté ver a estos dos saltar algunos obstáculos y enamorarse. Era imposible no querer a Caelum y desear algo mejor para Jade.
Él fue tan protector y lindo con Jade desde el principio. Se merecía una mujer que lo ame después de lo que le hizo la descarada de Leona! Qué bien que la puso en su lugar cuando tuvo la osadía de regresar a la casa!
Me gustaron la mayor parte de las historias de parejas destinadas de esta serie. Son lecturas rápidas, dulces y sexys para pasar un momento suspirando y sonriendo.

This one was a light and easy read!
I liked Caelum, the lion shifter and knight of the Lion Kingdom. He’s a true hopeless romantic—just like me—who’s been dreaming of finding his fated mate his whole life. He had his heart broken by Leona, a fellow lion shifter and his partner of two years, when she left him out of nowhere for a tiger shifter. Ouch.
Caelum ends up saving Jade, a sweet and hard-working human girl, from being attacked by three men while he’s out on patrol. Not long after, Jade shows up at the temple as one of the human brides, and surprise—turns out she’s his bride, as if fate was finally on his side.
Jade’s an orphan and pretty likable as a character. There’s not a ton of spice in this one—maybe a 1 out of 5 on the heat scale—but the romance was sweet, and I liked the gentle pacing between Caelum and Jade.
All in all, a nice addition to the Arranged Monster Mates series. Not my absolute fave, but still enjoyable.

It felt very rushed, and very childish. I felt like the author just threw a bunch of different tropes into the book, without any consideration for how it affects the characters or their relationship.
The OW drama didn’t add anything to the story.
And I couldn’t understand why the FMC did even half of the things she did, or her reasoning. It felt as if her logic was that of a middle schooler.
No cheating. No break ups. No epilogue. No pregnancy.
Synopsis: Calem, the lion shifter male main character, was just broken up with by his two-year girlfriend, who he thought was his fated mate. So he applies to the temple for a DNA test to find his human mate instead. But he waits many months and hears nothing. Then one day he rescues our female main character, Jade, from a bunch of rapist men. The men come from good families and run Jade out of town, so she applies to the temple to be a bride. That is how they meet. Then she moves back with him and he refuses to have sex with her until she loves him. But then his ex girlfriend attacks her so he decides to have sex with her after all for some reason? And then she gets a fever from exhaustion, and looks “weak” so she lies about it and passes out. And then the MMC somehow gets the kings doctor to heal her, and then she rides him in his lion form to a picnic. It was stupid.

Lionman Caelum (H) had hoped the Marriage Temple would match him to a fated human mate he was left by his lioness mate. With no match he, he continues to bury himself in his patrol duties when he wanders into human territory and comes to the rescue of a woman in his lion form. After her near assault, Jade (h) turns to the Temple to find a mate and safety and is soon matched as Caelum’s bride. Caelum wants to ease his new bride into their life together and things between them begin to heat up until his past returns. Loved how protective, caring, and understanding Caelum is with his new wife, and how even though she might have been more diminutive, Jade tried to stand up for herself to Leona in the bedroom. Hot and steamy human-shifter romance with a bit of danger plenty of heat.

This series of arranged marriage monster books is addicting. They’re short and easy to get through in a quick amount of time. You definitely don’t have to think while reading them and most of the time the plot is fairly decent and the spice makes up for anything that falls short.
The plot for this book was kind of all over the place and there were lots of ups and downs and jumps to new events very quickly. Felt like spinning around. This book follows a lion shifter who goes outside of his species (first of his kind to do so) to find his fated mate. But there’s some drama with his ex that kind of gets in the way of things and confusing events surrounding that as well. Unfortunately, the smut in this one falls kind of short. I just don’t feel like there was enough in the book to overcome all the shortcomings. I’m still excited to read the next in the series, this just wasn’t one of my favorites in the lineup.

He’s a sweet lion and they are true fared mates. He treats her well, loves her and wants her from the moment he saved her from those rapist.
But a lot of the story is around the ex, Leona. The ex that left him for another shifter. He’s grieving her absence in the beginning, until he sees the h. But he compares Jade with his ex to many times!!! And then his house is so secure that Leona got to Jade in his own bedroom and almost killed her, ugh. She even told Jade that was Caelum’s and her bed. There are so, so many details that suggest that the way he was with Jade was the same way he was with his ex; to me, this doesn’t make Jade special to him. Doesn’t matter that he says he feels different for Jade. Also, why did he have to go get his ex to apologize to Jade? He brought her to their home again, made Jade uncomfortable and also left them alone to attend someone that knocked the door outside giving his ex the chance to talk poison to his bride!!!! Why did he have to go himself to exile his ex? Aren’t there no other good knights that can do that. At this point he spent more time with his ex than with his bride.
If his dream or plan was to have a family and have cubs, why didn’t Leona give him cubs? They were together for 2 years!!!! And he thought she was his fated mate btw.
And how did Jade get so exhausted that she fell unconscious? She didn’t do anything strenuous not for a long period of time for this.
Again, he was a sweet lion and I was gonna silence in my mind the fact that he lived with someone for 2 years until recently, barely a month ago, and was not an unexperienced lion waiting for his mate. But then, all this ex just ruined the book for me. I’m so sorry for you Jade. I wish you knew how to fight and sworded the ex and put her in her place, not let her see you weak.

I’ve previously read a book by this author, it wasn’t for me so I DNF’D it. I was like I’ll try another in this series because I like the premise of the book. I loved Wed to the Lich, I was holding hope it would be great until it got to a certain bit.

It was pretty much the same as Wed to the Wolf Man. A pretty woman being harassed by men. The monster saves them, and wants a mate it turns out it’s the girl they saved. They get married at the temple, the monster takes her home. Then the monster leaves their newly married bride alone because they HAVE to go to work. You couldn’t take the day off buddy?
Now tell me which book I’m talking about Wed to the Wolf Man or the Lion Man? Anyway I got to 44% before I DNF’D the lion man and this quote sealed it for me…
“So delicious,” he whispered. Then, I felt his tongue part my pussy lips. He let out a moan of his own. “So juicy.”
Why did he say that urgh? 🤢
Why did he need to say that?😭
Massive ick, it honestly made my skin crawl. That’s me tapping out… if you’re into that, good for you. Love that for you. But nopeeee, I’m out 👋

Cara Wylde has once again captured my attention with another very imaginative paranormal romance story. The Arranged Monster Mates Series has been a very enjoyable read. Cara is an author I trust not to disappoint me when I read a story from this genre. Her plots are always original and unique with the most wonderful characters. I cannot wait to read the next book Cara publishes.
Caelum is a lion shifter who is one the kings knights and guards their lands. He has recently been hurt by someone he thought was his mate. Caelum is tired of being alone and wants a woman to share his life with - someone to raise his cubs and build a family with together. Jade is an orphan and makes a meager living as maid for a wealthy family. She has no one other than her friend Myra that matters to her. One evening while out patrolling Caelum hears a woman scream. Although he should stay out of the humans business Caelum feels a pull to help her. The minute he lays eyes on Jade he knows there is something special about her. Caelum saves her from uncertain peril and she is thankful. Jade later receives devastating news that she must disappear because the men who attacked her are blaming her for the wounds they received when Caelum protected her. Jade seeks help from the Marriage Temple as this is really her only way to escape being punished. I loved this book! I read all the books in this series so far, and this one is my favorite. Good world building and wonderful characters. My heart hurt for how lonely and hurt Caelum was after the female he'd thought would be his mate left him in the night to be with someone else. I loved these two together! Caelum was so incredibly sweet, kind, and patient with her. Jade's personality was a perfect fit for Caelum. They are my favorite couple in this series.

I loved this book! I read all the books in this series so far, and this one is my favorite. Good world building and wonderful characters. My heart hurt for how lonely and hurt Caelum was after the female he'd thought would be his mate left him in the night to be with someone else. Caelum & Jade: Sweet Romance That Ended Abruptly
I am really feeling the Arranged Monster Marriages series. I'm not reading them in any particular order as they aren't connected. So, right on the heels of reading and loving WED TO THE LICH, I decided to read WED TO THE LIONMAN.
Caelum is a lion-shifter who works for the royal guard in Alia Terra. After his mate of two years left him for a tiger-shifter, he decided to seek the assistance of the Temple by filing an application for a human bride. He's given up hope of his application being approved, and a bride found when he is notified that a bride awaits him. It's there he meets Jade a young woman who arrives at the temple prior to being without a place to live.
These books are written as short stories, but I couldn't help to feel like this story could have been better executed. The reader is really left to imagine and assume the connection between the two. It would have been great to actually see these two connect on page through dialogue. Further, Jade seemed to have gone from shy and meet to outspoken and loud. However, the reader never saw this develop in her character.
I enjoyed this story, but it would have been much better with the addition of a few more pages.

Thank you for the ARC opportunity and I apologize for the extremely delayed feedback. I enjoyed the story and was able to binge it in a sitting! I liked the MMC and the FMC and think they are good together. Both were put in unfortunate circumstances but it brings them together which I appreciate the execution in the story. I did wish that the FMC had more of a backbone or was able to fight more which I guess is typical when it's a human vs monster. I found it frustrating when she withheld information trying to be strong instead of being truthful but I guess it was part of the story.
The pacing and writing of the story was nice and quick but was over too fast. I wanted more. I think the story could have used more character and relationship development because it was an instalove which I was ok with and expected with this story. More world development would have been nice as well.
Overall I like this quick, fluffy, steamy romantic story, I just wished that the book could be expanded because I would love to stay immersed in these stories a little longer.

Caelum is a lion shifter warrior and his female, Leona, leaves him for a tiger shifter. He is heartbroken and doesn’t want to go home to an empty home so he picks up extra guard shifts and patrols the borderlands. Finally, realizing that he can’t live like that, one night on patrol he hears a human woman running from 3 men. He saves her and is drawn to her. The woman goes home, to wear she is a maid for a good family, but the men were of rich families. She is forced to flee to the Temple and give her blood to become a bride. Of course, she is Caelum’s fated mate. It’s funny that the lion shifters no longer believe in this, they think it is a fairy tale.
Jade is an orphan, and her only friend is who she works with Myra. Myra sends most of what she makes home to her family for her younger siblings, so they can have a better life.
I love this world as it shows that people shouldn’t judge a person by how they look, but by how they act. This book was a lot of fun and has a few unforeseen things happen. I can’t wait to read more books set in this world by this author.

This was an enjoyable book and I loved Calum and Jade’s story. Calum is a lionshifter who thought he found his mate until she up and left in the middle of the night with a tiger shifter leaving him as the laughing stock of the pride and heart broken and he doesn’t leave it to chance and gives his DNA to the temple to find his perfect match and now while out on patrol he saves a human female from being attacked by 3 men by changing into his lion and before she leaves she thanks him and there is a instant spark between them but he lets her walk away. Jade is a human female and a maid thats attacked while heading home by 3 sons from wealthy family’s but she is saved by a lion shifter and now she thanks him and races off to the Temple to give her DNA for a shifter match because the wealthy family’s wont let it go and problems will arise. And when she is matched to a Lion Shifter who happens to be the same gorgeous shifter that saved her life and she feels this might be the start of a perfect and safe life she has always wanted. Great book.

This series is so much fun. I love a fated mates storyline and this one was just purrrrrfect! Lion man Caelum spurned by an ex lover, decides he wants more for his life he wants a perfect match. He goes to the temple with hope in his heart and waits to hear. In the mean time he rescues a young human woman in the forest from being harmed by others Nd can't forget her. Jade has always been a good girl, she works hard and keeps her head down because she doesn't want unwanted attention. She has no family just a few friends when she's chased into the woods one night her life changes. She is saved by a lion man but needs to leave her Village. she goes to the one place that maybe able to help her the temple. What she doesn't expect is to find her fated Nathan is the same lion man who has already saved her once! Will he save her again? You have to read and find out. This was a good read for being a shorter novel. It had a new world other than earth. It seems like it will be a great series also. Not only is it a monster human women matchup but it has multiple different monster types.
Lion man or lion shifter Caelum just wants a mate of his own and cubs to fill his life with happiness. While out one night patrolling the Lion kingdom boarders he hears a female in need of help. Jade knows on sight he is a shifter not just a lion when she is saved and gets a bit of distance from him in his lion form.
They have almost a perfect beginning. They get married. She goes from servant in the human village to mistress of Caelum’s mansion. She gets a cook and maid who are genuinely happy to serve her even with her being human. Caelum and Jade even seem to suit. But his ex is just crazy enough to throw herself into their newfound life. Purity of lion shifters and whatnot.

Perfect Beast of a Lion
I have a thing for fairy-tales especially Beauty and the Beast tropes. And rarely do authors walk the line in telling a variation of the trope without it being too Beauty and the Beast, if that makes any sense.
Ms. Wylde not on walked the line but knew the destination and made tou enjoy the scenery on the way.
Caelum was a disappointed and jilted lionman that wanted nothing but love and to be loved; same for Jade, a woman who has lived her entire life alone on the whims and margin of others. Until one fateful day he saves her in his lion form and they both come to the Temple to be matched...him on his own and her as no other choice.
Fate has a way of gently prodding you without you knowing and setting tou on the right track.
I am sooo looking forward to more book in the series and by Ms. Wylde herself.

I love these book and have read each and every one of them. Who knew there were so many creepy critters in the world, but Arranged Monster Mates and Cara Wylde says there is and she has a few more up her sleeves. Caelum is a lion shifter warrior and thinks he has found his mate within his species, but she takes off and he wants a forever mate. Sending his blood to the Temple, he is mated to the human and he had rescued her from an attack. Jade was raised an orphan and has survived as a maid to others, but she has longed for a family of her own. When the family she is with cannot keep her, she has her blood tested at the Temple and is matched. The books are all super well paced, each has their own unique twists, sizzle, steam, and compelling characters. Great Read.

Bueno, este estuvo interesante.
El protagonista no es para nada uno típico; es un macho fuerte, rico, sí; pero muy sensible y en una manera muy masculina. Está triste porque su compañera anterior lo dejó sin explicaciones, y manda su sangre al Templo, porque está cansado de sufrir y él sí cree en compañerxs predestinadxs (hay muchos leones que ya no). De Jade nos enteramos lo suficiente como para que acompañe, pero acá lo interesante es como la historia se va armando y el proceso de Caelum. Él está muy seguro de lo que está haciendo, y es un tipo muy decente, tanto, que su ex -que es una tipa de esas bastante porquerías- se aprovecha de esa decencia para joder, pura y exclusivamente. Porque es de la idea de que si no es conmigo, voy a arruinar todo con todos los demás.
Una historia dulce y entretenida.

He sees a young woman being chased by three men and by the time he gets closer they have her pinned to the ground. He slashes all three and they run away while the woman thanks him and heads back to the village. Jade's Mistress tells her she will be unable to protect her as the men were sons of important village families and had accused her of starting the incident. I have to say that I do love this series where the humans are matched via DNA samples sent to the Temple. Caelum is devastated by the loss of the one he thought was his mate. He is throwing himself into work so he doesn't have to feel which is very definitely taking a toll, honestly its almost killing him. A decision made on the spot makes him consider an alternative. Jade knows that her options are limited, even more so now. For some reason the men in her village are basically cruel entiltled misogynists and her only option is to approach the Temple for a match. I loved that Caelum was someone who tried to communicate first and in some sense was the more vulnerable of the two in the relationship. Jade's inner voice just made her all the more human and relatable. A great couple!

Jade and Caelum meet when he hears and scream and rescues her from three men trying to attack her. They are reunited a few days later when he goes to get married and bring home his new DNA matched wife - Jade. So much happens just in the first few days, but they surely can overcome all the obstacles, right? Fated mates are bound together on a higher level. Loved the characters and the storyline had me hooked and on edge right from the start. The cook and maid at her new home were terrific and made friends with Jade right away. Vivid descriptions and locales, like the busted furniture, added great depth to the story. Terrific ending and a fun one, too.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I loved the characters Caelum who is a lion shifter and Jade who is a human female. Caelum rescued Jade from being attacked by three human men and after she returns to the house where she is employed, she is told she can’t stay there anymore because of the men’s families were out for revenge. Jade escapes to the Marriage Temple where she submits her blood for DNA matching. This is where Caelum and Jade are matching and married to each other. Caelum slowly wins her love and there is a happily ever after in their future.

Jade is having a day, she’s chased into the woods and nearly attacked but saved by a mysterious stranger. Unfortunately, the people she was running from are rich and run to Thor parents and complaint which completely upends her life. Fortunately, the circumstances lead her to Caelum. Told from dual points of view this story is sweet, the characters are nice to one another and seem to be fining their way. There is some drama and some backstory. The only issue I have is that it felt like it was missing something, like what should have been a chapter and then an epilogue, or wrap up, was the end.
