The Developer

The Developer is the fifth novel in the Sean Murphy series. As with the first four, it is short and can be digested in a few hours. This time Sean is dispatched to Afghanistan to retrieve his interpreter, who was promised asylum but was left behind when America abandoned Afghanistan. He now has information the CIA wants, but he'll only deal with Sargent Murphy or Major Anderson. His information; America is funding a Chinese belt 'n road project. After successfully extracting Wadih and his family Sean is hospitalized to recuperate from damage inflicted by a former Taliban foe.
Concurrently, his daughter, a financial advisor in Lakeview, has become aware of a real estate developer's intent to defraud elderly ranchers of their land. The developer believes there are large deposits of precious metals, deposits resulting from lake Missoula repeatedly draining some 18,000 years ago.
The connection is a corrupt Senator.

About the author

Don Allen resides in Northern Virginia. After two Army enlistments, one year in Vietnam and three in Germany, he attended UMASS, earning degrees in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. He managed the Navy’s BRAC caretaker program for ten years prior to his retirement. Since retiring, he has managed an art gallery for a local art league and moderated a weekly session discussing the daily news in a continuing education forum. Don's hobbies include photography and genealogy.
