Hi! I’m a mom of three, wife, daughter, sister, friend, full-time corporate gladiator pulling 40+ hours a week, and a passionate romance author who thrives on humor, chaos, and caffeine. My life is a beautiful mess of adult ADD, dyslexia, and the constant distraction of everything around me—but somehow, I channel it all into crafting steamy, swoon-worthy stories that make your heart race and your cheeks blush.
I live for laughter, love, and encouraging others to chase their dreams because, hey, life’s too short to skip dessert or good book banter. I’m snarky, sassy, and fiercely loyal, always ready to stand up for those I love—whether it’s a fight or flight moment (preferably after my coffee).
Writing has always been my secret passion, and now I’m stepping it up with each book, creating stories that’ll keep you entertained and leave you smiling. Let’s live in the moment and escape into stories that make you fall in love over and over again. ❤️
I’d never heard of this author, the book popped up as a suggestion. I’m glad it did! It was a great story. Fast paced, great characters, sassy, romantic with a few comedic moments and lots of steam.
Sweet and steamy age gap romance with best friend's dad!
I love age gap romances, but sometimes I run into books that contain sex scenes stringed together to appear as a story. I'm happy to declare that this book has a sweet fmc who becomes involved with her best friend's newly divorced father and there's an actual storyline with conflict and resolution!
I'm not sure why I'm a little surprised that the author drew me in and kept me reading all night to finish the book in one setting. I don't think it's really anything about this book that made me doubt I'd get a good story. I think it's more to do with all of the ones that had similar titles but disappointed me with little to no storyline.
With Serenity Raine's book we get a good story between the multiple varied relations. Friend- friend, father- daughter, fmc-mmc, daughter- daughter's fiance, daughter- mother. Wow! That last one! Reading the storyline between the daughter and her newly divorced mother was almost worth the whole read, but it's the story of the sweet, caring fmc (Annie) and the hunky dad (Mason) that keeps the story moving. It seems natural. The steam builds in a way that offers short bursts of increasing steaminess. There's conflict and satisfying resolutions. There's also a really sweet proposal scene for the best friend/ daughter (Kelly) and her boyfriend (Michael).
I found this book to be delightful and worth the read. I really liked Annie, Mason, Kelly, and Micheal. I only disliked one character and it's because the author led me to dislike her. (Bet you guessed it's the mom/ ex - wife that is extremely unlikable.) Ms. Raine did a fantastic job on shaping all of the characters. I think that's what drew me in. These characters seemed real.
I did find it curious that the fmc's parents are mentioned but never seen or heard from. The other thing that keeps bothering me is a part of the cover. I usually don't pay too much attention, but I was trying to figure out why I almost passed up this story. It's definitely not the model. I mean, come on, he's perfect. I think it's his necklaces. I especially wonder why he's wearing his wedding ring on a chain around his neck like it still means something to him. I know it's common to do it especially when you're not fully over your relationship, but the ex - wife is horrible. The necklaces aren't mentioned in the story. If I were redoing the cover I'd lose the necklaces, but that's just my little take on it. That's not to distract from how good the story is!
If you love age gap romances with best friend's dad, a story with two best friends who will get through everything, sweet proposals, a strong daughter overcoming and besting a shrew of a mother, a surprise/ hidden pregnancy, and a HEA then I recommend this book. (Sorry if I rambled I was awake all night reading this book that I couldn't put down!)
Mason was a policeman. He recently got a divorce because of his wife’s cheating. His daughter Kelly was having her best friend, Annie for the summer. They were in their early twenties. Mason just getting home from work, met Annie on the stairway. She was in a string bikini and she was all grown up. Her curves were all he could see. Without thinking straight, he pulled her to him and kissed her. From that point on things got very close and personal.
Satisfying age-gap romance that finishes beautifully!
We begin with Annie returning to her hometown for a visit, learning that her best friend's parents have divorced. Which makes her friend's dad, Mason, available. Since Annie has long held a crush for Mason this news flips a switch for her. And not having seen Annie in several years, the sight of her flips that same switch for Mason. There's that nasty ex to contend with from time to time, and Annie's BFF's lovelife, Mason is contemplating early retirement, while Annie is interviewing for jobs, one local and another not at all local. Our insta-lust has shifted into insta-obsession and may be fast approaching insta-heartbreak territory.
What begins as a rather typical age-gap romance rapidly develops into a surprisingly nuanced story. Brilliant use of time jumps in the telling. We have a decidedly bad character to identify and address. And there is substantial character development and growth. There's a great deal of kindness and appreciation for character to be found here.
I did take issue with the confusing bouncing between Mason being a Police Captain/Chief and being addressed as Sheriff, but perhaps that's been seen to in the later editing stages. That aside, this was an enjoyable read with an exceptional finish.

Annie is coming home to figure out what her next move is. She has some job offers that are really good for her career wise. She goes to her best friend's house and learns that her parents just divorced. Mason is just getting home and is thinking about retiring from the police force. Just as he gets upstairs, he runs into Annie and can't believe how grown up she is. Sparks fly between them but before anything buy a kiss happens his ex-wife yells from downstairs. Its not long before Annie and Mason are secretly seeing each other. However, when he talks about his retirement its about him traveling and nothing to do with Annie. She gets upset and disappears to London after a night with him. Will they get another chance to be together?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Annie is home to be with her friend Kelly. She learns that Kelly's father is getting divorced. Annie has harbored a crush on Mason since her early teens and when they reconnect now that she is an adult the sparks are intense between them. They try to keep apart, but the feelings are too strong and in the midst of all the summer happenings Kelly's mother find out about their relationship and blackmails them sending Annie back out of town. Will she and Mason get their chance for a happily ever after. This story had me in Annie and Mason's corner for happiness.
Man am I in love with accidental pregnancy/pregnancy trope!! ✨ I enjoyed being able to see into their future and what it had in store for them because despite being a short story I love seeing their future. I wanted to fight the living crap out of Tracey because like who does she think she is? She's a complete psycho trying to still fit into this family even though they made it very clear she never tried to fit in.

This was a nice palette cleanser for me and was better than I anticipated. The build-up was fantastic, and I like that they didn't just jump right into a full-blown thing right away. The parts that irked me a bit were a couple of strange time gaps that weren't explained at all, and then the London time frame. I won't say more than that, because I don't want to give spoilers. Very enjoyable read, though.
This was a great age gap romance I gave it a three rating because it was good it just wasn’t my favorite. I loved the writing style of this Author. I just didn’t connect with the characters I didn’t get left with the feelings I have when I read a 5⭐️ book but it wasn’t a book I hated so I gave it 3⭐️ and I gave the spice level a 2🌶️ I would recommend it to a friend if they wanted low spice
Although not a truly original storyline, it definitely had its moments. It's a well written book and not at all 'heavy' going. Ideal for a lazy afternoon or even around a swimming pool on holiday. Enjoyed from start to finish...... Would love to know what eventually happened to the wicked mum though!
I loved Mason and Annie's book. She couldn’t wait to see her bestie while home for the summer. She threw on a short romper for a night on the town. She knew she shouldn’t crush on her friends' dad… This was an entertaining, fun taboo read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
Great age-gap story. Mason and Annie's story is a sweet romance. Even with Annie being best friends with his daughter, after his life falls apart he can't deny the feelings he develops. Loved how things all came together!
A fast paced, steamy, age gap read. The story flows well, will keep you interested. The characters fit well together and have great chemistry. A good read.
Annie is back home and visits her best friend, Kelly and they all enjoy the fun in the sun. Lounging by the pool and having drinks. She decides to stay for the summer and to enjoy time with her bestie and boyfriend.
Mason is her best friend’s dad and Annie has had a crush on him for years. The pair begin an affair, giving into temptation for their taboo romance.
Throw in drama from Mason’s ex wife and retirement plans to travel. Annie also finds out she is pregnant. What happens when the summer of fun is over?
Good for a quick read if you like taboo relationships and surprise pregnancy romance.
