A fun book on some of the lesser known and wackier attractions in the Sunshine State.
Since I live in Florida now and I love anything different or unusual, this book was perfect for one of my "armchair" travels.
From big oranges that serve as citrus/souvenir stands to castles - there are 2 in this book, if you want to see something other than chain restaurants and big amusement parks this is where you can find it.
Long before the interstates and Disney, these are the remains of the Old Florida. some would even say the true Florida that visitors would find when Florida became popular as a travel destination.

As a kid, my family spent a lot of time in Panama City Beach, Florida and a few trips to Orlando, FL. I have truly come to love Florida Kitsch, especially roadside attractions in Florida. The best ones though aren't off the interstate, but on the side roads.
It's fun to go through these books and see the places I've been and how much everything has changed over the years.

It was a lot of fun seeing my own hometown's odd kitsch proudly displayed. Great if you're planning a road trip, or you want to see a side of Florida that isn't owned by the Mouse.
