A naked man roams the hallways of a small town funeral home looking for Mr. Right. Only three obstacles stand in the way of a night of pure indulgence. As each obstacle is removed, the landscape of the world will begin to transform into a living nightmare.
This short story is another perfect example of exactly why I call Todd, The King of the Twist!!! 😲🖤
Koffee is viewing a potential new home, with the most perfect view! But it's not just the view that he's chosen this particular house for, he has more pressing urges to satisfy! Only, three things stand in his way, but not for long….
Once he arrives at his final destination however, despite all the meticulous planning he has put into his little endeavor, he gets an extremely unexpected surprise himself..
As always, Todd comes in with that curve ball out of nowhere of a twist! I never see them coming! Ever! Incredible!
Todd also describes the scenes and atmosphere so vividly, it fills you with a sense of dark dread and nervous anticipation..
Brutal, unnerving, fast and furiously fucked up, with some highly inspired kills! I think I might just have a new fave Todd Love story!! 🖤🖤
Koffee is new to the neighborhood. In his search for Mr. Right, he decides to check out the local funeral home. It’s right across the street from his house, so that makes things convenient. With some luck, he might just score big!
Well, that escalated quickly, and I would expect nothing less from Love. When it comes to his short stories, you know you are in for a nasty and gory ride. Docking has all of that and a twist that came as a surprise to me and the main character. I also learned where the book title came from, so that was fun and now I can’t unsee it! I wouldn't be disappointed at other books with a similar theme. If you enjoy splatter, don’t pass this one up.
So as always with the incredible writings of Todd Love this twisted short tale takes a dark spin. Koffee is an intense character, you just know when he buys a house overlooking a funeral home that there is more to this. Then it's like holy crap all the gore and horror begins the moment he goes to the funeral home. As always Todd knows how to make a real stomach-turning scene of violence. The pace is instant and intense, you feel more uneasy the closer he gets to his target. By the way, the ending was so unexpected my jaw dropped. Todd seems to be mastering the art of surprise endings that catch the reader completely off guard.
In true Todd Love fashion, the story takes a turn you don't see coming. Brilliant! My jaw literally dropped at the ending. I'm going to have to say this is one of my favorites from him.
Koffee has a very particular fetish and to fulfill his urge he has three trials he must dispatch. But this funfest may end differently for Koffee. A bizarre, serial killer-esque, sex fetish-y, body horror mindfuck you won’t see coming. 4.5/5.
This was too extreme for me, so I feel unfair rating it since I am clearly not the right audience, but I did buy it so I read it all the way through. If you like extreme splatterpunk and gore, you may like this.
If you have read anything by Love, you know he is going to bring it. It won’t be pretty, it won’t be nice, but oh man it is going to be good. This one has a little something extra and special.
After seeing the cover and reading the title, I knew I had to see what sick Sh¡te Todd Love had been up to lately.
Docking is part American Gods, part Cthulhu, part Moving Finger, in a Bradbury Theater reboot for deviants like myself that actually know in advance what docking means. If you don't, keep it a surprise. Just the idea makes me squirm. Still, Docking is probably my favorite story by Todd Love.
La verdad que no entendí el final del todo y eso que lo tuve que releer. Pero, la descripción de los escenarios no está del todo mal, si te transmite la sensación de incomodidad a medida que avanzas. No estuvo mal.
There are three trials Koffee Adam Grant must face to achieve and satiate his urge. Naked and eager, he roams the halls of the funeral home, seeking his ultimate high. A disturbing, shocking, and dark story you should definitely check out. Available on Godless!
