Savannah Perry has been abused by her uncle for pretty much her entire life. So naturally when she catches the eyes of Wyatt Matlock and Hayes Hawkins she is reluctant to enter a committed relationship, in other words marriage.

Wyatt and Hayes are just like every other man in Desire: stubborn, arrogant, thinks his is the only way but also would do anything for his woman and protects her.

I love books when its the man, or this case men, who are in love with the heroine but she doesn't give them the time of day. It makes the story more believable and allows me to see that really love her.

Leah Brooke is my favorite erotic romance author but she likes to mix drama in her stories. This story had guns, shoot outs, and attempted murder. I thought part of the ending was kind of pointless. It could easily have been left out.

I also don't like the idea of mail order brides. I know this was popular back then but it just seems too weird especially since no mail order brides have shown up yet.

I'm not yet completely sold on this series. I like the contemporary setting much better. These men are little bit too manly for my taste but I will still continue with the series since I'm interested in future characters.

Love Leah Brooke's Alpha men. Great story and deep characters. I enjoyed the interesting play of characters and the twists and turns. Savannah is independent, sexy, and smart. Love the alphas Wyatt and Hayes. They see her and know she's the "one". Sexy, erotic sex scenes, and true care and protection for the lady. Great ménage and interesting plot. The play between Savannah and the men is believably done and they work together well. The men work together and forge the relationship. I enjoyed this nice story.

I really like the Desire, OK series, but I think I like the Founding Fathers series better. A hot, historical story with super alpha heros and a heroine who is no pushover.

Shadow's review posted on Guilty Pleasures

Scandalous Desire started slow and really didn’t improve until about halfway through the book. That’s when the heroine, Savannah, finally quit with the nonsense of telling the heroes she didn’t want anything to do with them, then falling into their arms. This story contained way too much of that dynamic before the threesome finally talked about why she didn’t want to stay in Desire and she finally admitted she wanted Wyatt and Hayes.

Once she admitted she was afraid of what her uncle would do, the book improved, although the irony of her having to save herself after all the rules put in place in Desire to “protect” the women of the town fail isn’t lost on the reader. Savannah finally proves herself to be of strong character and her men help her through her many issues.

The sex scenes are hot, the story comes to a satisfying conclusion, and we learn more about why Desire is the way it is, but the slow start, push away-come hither game and discrepancies between the idea of the town and reality keep this from being one of the author’s best books.

I think that if everyone knew the wild west was like this that we would have all loved to develop a town. I wish I had read Maggie's story but this one was good too.

Wyatt and Hayes have left behind their jobs as U. S. Marshalls to move to Desire and Help Jeremiah and Eb settle the town of Desire. Savannah had thoughts of her own and that included leaving the town just as soon as Maggie had her baby. Wyatt and Hayes knew that they had to convince Savannah to stay and marry them and help to settle the town otherwise they would give up their Sheriffs job and move with her.

Savannah couldn't marry Wyatt and Hayes because she was afraid if she stayed too long that her uncle would find her and she didn't want to bring that down on anyone she loved.

Savannah stepped up to the plate and became the woman that everyone knew she was. I was pleasantly surprised by the book as this is my first by Leah Brooke/ Lana Dare.

As a huge fan of Leah Brooke and her "Desire" series, I have to say that although this book was well-written and true to her style, I find I am not a big fan of the Founding Fathers series. Perhaps it is because historical westerns aren't my genre of choice. I found the heroine a tad "wishy-washy" vacillating back and forth between "stay and go" until the last few chapters. Waiting for the inevitable shoe to drop works better when you have a clear cut line that your hero/heroine stands firm that she is where she wants to be. Adding in the her backbone so late in the story-line made feeling that she was worthy of her alpha males a little unbelievable. All-in-all, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes their alpha males with the three D's... Dangerous, Desirable and oh so Dirty. Happy Reading!!

Book two of the founding fathers series, following the events of the previous book. Savannah has left her uncle and has come to Desire to check on friend Maggie before moving on. She gets roped into staying until her friend gives birth and then plans to leave but not if Desire’s sheriffs have anything to do about that. Wyatt and Hayes are in love with and want to live a married life with her but shes not accepting that. She’s stubborn and hurt from the years of abuse from her uncle who isn’t ready to let her go. I loved the fact that Maggie had her son she named Ace. I loved the shootout, that Savannah’s skills impressed the men of desire. This book was very enjoyable and entertaining to read and I definitely recommend reading this book. I like the founding fathers series because it goes into the details of the struggles that living the life they have chosen entails.

I had a hard time with this read. It seemed all over the place and emotions were constantly swinging from one extreme to the other. Desire is one of my favorite places, but this wasn't my favorite story of the town.

I don't think I've ever rated less the 4 or 5 stars for this writer. I really like Savannah Wyatt Hayes story but I did feel like it dragged.
The story good and I enjoyed the sex and play scene.
I did like that Savannah could defend herself if needed.
