People seem to be more interested in my name than where I get my ideas for my stories from. So I might as well share the story behind my name with all my readers.

My momma was born and raised in New Orleans. At the age of twenty, she met and fell in love with an Irishman named Patrick Riley Dwyer. Needless to say, the family was a bit taken aback by this as they hoped she would marry a family friend. It was a modern day arranged marriage kind of thing and my momma downright refused.

Being that my momma’s families were descendents of the original English speaking southerners, they wanted the family blood line to stay pure. They were wealthy and my father’s family was poor.

Despite attempts by my grandpapa to make Patrick leave and destroy the love between them, my parents married. They recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.

I am one of six children born to Patrick and Lynn Dwyer. I am a combination of both Irish and a true southern belle. With a name like Dixie Lynn Dwyer it’s no wonder why people are curious about my name.

Just as my parents had a love story of their own, I grew up intrigued by the lifestyles of others. My imagination as well as my need to stray from the straight and narrow made me into the woman I am today.

Illeanna is trying to get her career on track. When she is appended by a gunman, she is rescued by Louis and Julien. She doesn't have time for the Boudoux brothers and when she pushes them away, it could mean her life as she has become the target of a man out to get the Boudoux brothers. This thriller will have you on the edge of your seat and cheering for the brothers to get the woman of their dreams.

I don’t have a whole lot of good to say about this book. The book over all was something I would normally really like, but there were a couple things that just really knocked it down a few pegs for me.

First off, like in the first book is the inconsistent written “accent”. As I mentioned in the review for Angelique, I don’t like reading accents in books. Usually just a notation about how sexy so-n-so’s accent is, is fine for me. I don’t like to be forced, even in my own mind, to severely abuse standard grammar.
About half way through the book I noticed the “accent” was completely absent and then during the last chapter and a half, like in the beginning it was there but inconsistent, even in a single sentence.

The second thing that REALLY rubbed me wrong about this book was the blatant disrespect for the heroine’s privacy and wishes in the beginning. I know that because of what was going on in the story the guys needed to be near her but when she plainly informs them that she doesn’t like them just walking into her house uninvited but they completely ignore her wishes or comforts, even as a means to reach the goal is just not something that I liked. I don’t mind the “alpha male” but I’m sorry, sure you’ve been interested in this female for a couple years but please! You don’t just barge into her house uninvited just because you feel you have the right, especially if you know it doesn’t make her comfortable! Take it a step further and 3 of the 5 men are law enforcement! Can we say double standard and hypocrisy?

Chef Illeanna Aubert wants to focus on her career, rather than the romantic pursuit of the Boudoux men who seem to be bumping into her on a more regular basis. When a gunman shows up in her restaurant and holds her hostage, the Boudoux brothers have had enough.

Franco, Gustave, Julien, and Johnny are tired of waiting, they know Illeanna is the one for them, but her stubborn ways have put her in danger. As she continues to finds ways to avoid them, she is attacked in the middle of the night. Enough is enough, the men bring her to their home where they intend to keep her as well as prove to her that they are worthy of everything she has to offer.

I liked this one the best so far in the series. Franco commands the room, but Gustave is the silent one whose tenderness makes him an instant favorite.

Another 5-star story by Dixie. The best yet. I love the amount of action she incorporated into the story. There was as much action as there was romance which for me, equals the perfect read. I think that she has also made a vast improvement with the grammar issue. There seemed to be a habit of over-using proper grammar and it just doesn't sound like regular people and was harder to relate to. However, this story is well written and the characters sounded much more realistic. And as always with a Dwyer story the editing is great. An A+ in my book. For anyone who enjoys Siren romance's, I would highly recommend picking this one up.

Talk about misunderstandings... this woman could've had all soo much sooner if she wasn't stubborn in her reaction to her action!!! again over kill. Not to mention the character names were soo off in scenes, it would throw me off the scence:(( Need better proof reading.

However, loved the end ... so funny, in the way this woman finally gave in completing :)

And, thou there are five men ... there was at most 2 men at 1 time... making sexual scenes more intimately passionate instead of hard core :D

It's basically the same story. This time an average height stacked, big breasted hottie, inexperienced woman in her early middle twenties is in troucle. The life or death kind. I can't help but read menage stories. They are hot. They have five sexy hot alpha men doing all sorts of good things to one woman. Who wouldn't want that? I know I do!!!

same goes with this book. it seems the women start out having a backbone and then the men come in the picture and its like they are scared to speak their mind and then the minute the female starts to speak her mine the mind distract her with sex and then make her agree with them before they will let her finish.

Fantastic

Ileanna was a very good story. Once I started, I had trouble putting it down. I like how Illeanna had one night with Louis, got scared and ran. He tries to make her jealous, and it backfires on all of them. That was a humorous little twist. I am looking forward to reading the next one.

Ugh. My last attempt at reading something by this author. Military mode, Police mode, Detective mode - really, what is she doing? Are the H all some cyborg types who with a flick of the switch have personality changes? And the menage sex is some of the worst I have read.

Not my favorite Dixie Lynn book. I felt that Illeanna was just wrong in how she treated and handled the men for so long, but then the men needed to handle how they dealt with her better and more openly.
