Brendan Walsh is an uptight business executive working for his father and missing out on real life due to his relentless drive for success. Fearing his homophobic father’s wrath - and the potential to destroy his financial future - Brendan hides is true orientation and lives a life of boring celibacy.
Upon meeting Davori Jenkins, when the hunky barista serves him a latte just the way he likes it, Brendan takes a chance, leaving his number with the tip in the hopes of changing his future love life.
Will Brendan be able to come clean with his father - risking his fortune - or will he take a chance at losing a man who he wants as his future?

This is an m/m interracial romance. Real romance. Some sappiness is ahead with two very good looking men who are searching for that happy ever after ending.

Smooth Like Latte rolls over the reader like the finest spun silk which is an appropriate correlation to an exquisitely made latte from a high end coffee shop/cafe. Get ready to wrap yourself in a tender, burning eroticism, compassion and realism worthy of locking yourself away from the noise of the world for a couple hours. The storyline reminds me of the finest melted chocolate as it flows seamlessly down my back. :-) Excuse me, I got lost in the moment. :-)

Latte, not his birth name; is one of Ms. Crawford-Rwaiya's most sensitive, warmest, sensuous character is this delicious story. Latte is the barista of a small family owned cafe located in one of Chicago's impressive office high rise buildings. Customers come into the Walsh Building to Cathy's cafe for their daily fix of his charming personality and his delicious drinks. Davori (Latte) is a handsome, strong, sexy, man capable of causing serious damage to anyone's imagination. Hmm, I can visualize myself having long conversations wrapped up on a sofa in Latte's powerful arms. Listening to his heart beating in my ear as I chill out. Latte, a man, artist, and masterful lover with a charming personality that causes people, total strangers to gravitate to him. In fact customers are willing to endure long lines just to have their morning beverage and share pleasantries with Davori aka Latte.

Brendan Walsh is the son of one Chicago's power brokers Alexander Walsh. Alexander Walsh came from a poor family with a determined father to provide his family with a better life. Alexander worked along side with his father learning the business and inherited known as Walsh company and built it into a thriving corporation.
Alexander's eldest son, Brendan sits at the helm of the Walsh Enterprises. Brendan is also a delectable hunk of eye candy, Tall, with beautiful dreadlocks, healthy well toned body, smooth skin and conservative, astute businessman taking the Walsh company to the level other company respect. He carries all the aspects anyone would want as a committed partner/lover/friend. Brendan knows every aspect of Walsh Enterprise and therefore denying himself quality personal time to find a extraordinary person to share his life. One morning, curious about what causes employees to stand in long lines to have Latte make their morning beverages he stops to investigate. Brendan meets Latte this first meeting is magical for them; it feels so right. Latte and Brendan are unsure about their status, if they are on the “same team” until a couple of days later.
Brendan has not made his personal preferences known yet and father, Alexander a judgmental snob, old man is not the most accepting man on the planet.

Brendan and Latte have so much in common besides the fantasies about each other. One of the things I appreciated was the manner in which Ms. Crawford-Rwaiya handled the personal conflicts Brendan encountered as he discovered more about himself.

Ms.Crawford-Rwaiya, writing flows with an ease engulfing you into the emotionalism of this sexy, romantic tale. The lovemaking is off the hook and perhaps will make the reader a “hater” or a “jumper” one who will jump their lover stepping across the threshold and I pity the mate of that reader. (wink) Lusty passion and wild lovemaking will definitely be on and poppin'

1,5 stars. This was just not good. I round it up to two stars because Davori is a person of colour which is rarely seen in m/m romance.
