I promised to do a review on this book but figured I'd skim through since I don't normally read anything too far out. I started it and got caught up in the characters, and even though I admit to some skimming, I really did finish it and feel I can make a recommendation. There was a love story that filtered through from the beginning, a rather sweet love story considering the plot. That's what kept me involved and it's also why I've given this book 5-stars. Ms. Huges is a good writer who will reel you in if you let her. I strongly suggest that you do.

What do you get when you mix twins, a sexy professional Dom and a mystery? That’s the perfect recipe for a great story if you ask me!

Cayce, the serious one, is a well-educated librarian who has had her fair share of heartache in her life, but she doesn’t let that keep her down. When her twin, Cait, the wild one, goes missing Cayce is willing to do absolutely anything to find her. While rifling through her sister’s belongings in an effort to uncover answers to her disappearance, she discovers a world that is so far from anything she has ever known that she can scarcely wrap her mind around it. Cayce’s quest into the unknown changes the course of her life and happiness, as she has known it is soon a distant memory.

UNDERCOVER SUBMISSIVE is a well-developed quickie at around 100 pages. I thoroughly enjoyed Cayce’s journey and although the book was totally complete, I would love to read more about Cayce and her new life. If you like your steam laced with little mystery and a lot of action (and I am not talking kung-foo), then UNDERCOVER SUBMISSIVE is not one you will want to miss!

I really struggled with this book. There were a ton of grammatical errors - which most of the time I simply skim over - but this time it was hard to ignore as in a few cases I really had to figure out what the author was trying to say. I loved the concept behind the story but the author really fell flat in terms of delivery. It almost felt like she had a word count or something she couldn't go over. A lot of the scenes felt incomplete and I was SO disappointed by the ending! I actually re-read the last chapter twice thinking that I must have missed something! It was that in-congruent with the rest of the book. I don't mind an unrealistic story (from a timeline perspective) if I can get absorbed into the story itself. This just wasn't the case for this book. It feel too rushed (again, word count possibly?) and... and... shrug.

When it comes to twins, there is a bond that is tighter than most siblings. For Cayce, when her twin, Cait, disappears, she is beside herself. Since the police are overworked and don't have time for a stripper gone missing, Cayce decides to find her sister herself.

Ok, I'm not exactly sure how to rate this book.

I thought the premise was great but it fell short for me on the way it was delivered. The whole idea of a woman posing as her twin to find out why she disappeared--very interesting. But, I thought it was all too easy. The book needed to be longer in order to flesh all of those details out.

I thought that the characters were good, but once again, I just wanted more. WHY didn't Dylan ever keep subs? Why was he just training them before he met Caycee? I thought we got a lot of Caycee's background but it was Dylan that I was really interested in.

Also, for those of you who liked to be warned, there were some pretty glaring editing mistakes that took me out of the story in the beginning of the book. But, as the story went on, things were either better or I was able to overlook them, but I didn't notice anything and the story went a lot faster.

So, I thought this book fell a bit off the mark for me. I really liked all aspects of it, but I was really aching for the author to do more with it if you know what I mean.

I have never read anything by Michelle Hughes before. I liked her ideas in this book so I will definitely look out for more of her work.

As a fan of Tears of Crimson and 10 nights I decided I wanted to read more by Michelle Hughes. This book had a great plot line. I love the fact that there was an actual story not just sex scenes.

Cayce and Cait are twin sisters who are abused by their stepfather. As happens a lot with abuse victims one sister went into a protective shell thinking she is worthless, and the other went searching for love and acceptance in the bed of every man she could find. When Cait goes missing, the police chalk it up to another stripper case and don't really bother to look. Cayce knows that this is different and her sister would have said something first. Searching through her sister's things, Cayce discovers a journal filled with BDSM and a business card to billionaire Dylan St. Clair.

This leads Cayce to discover the power she holds and to release the pain she has felt since the abuse. Along the way a good story unfolds while searching for Cait and love blooms.

My only complaint would be the fact that the writing needs to be redone for spelling and grammar issues. They were a little distracting to me simply because they catch my eye when I am reading. Thanks, Michelle for another good story.

This was an interesting sotry with a slightly different perspective on the BDSM aspect. I've seen something similar to this in other series, but not handled in exactly the same way, so it was a refreshing take.

Cayce is an true hero. She's willing to take on anything in order to save her sister. She's her sister's best advocate and determined to find her and bring her home. Dylan is a good Dom. He's not perfect and that makes him all the more likable. When he does make a mistake, he realizes it and is willing to make amends for those mistakes. It's nice to see that Doms are not perfect and do make mistakes. He is an honorable man and sticks to his word.

I enjoyed the story and the training of Cayce was interesting.

The only big problem I had with the story was Cayce's immediate acceptance of Dylan's touch. She was abused as a teenager and had not been touched since her abuse. It was a little difficult for me to accept she was immediately OK with Dylan touching her and jumping right into a BDSM relationship for her first relationship.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I was enjoying the story until (slight spoiler coming) she told him that she wasn't Cait. I also found the ending far too quick, more like a wham bam thank you mam ending. I would have liked to have read more on the fact what he chose to happen after The Island and how he could let her go so easy, that didn't sit to well with me.

Yes there are loads of typos and grammatical errors spattered within the pages, they don't help too well in the reading enjoyment of the story ie sometimes the word read 'will' instead of 'we'll', so maybe this needs a re-hash and a bit of a workover to make it more presentable to the readers.

The premise of the story was a great idea, it could have been explored much further and had many heart pounding moments on The Island but it didn't, I thought when they came face to face with Serif and how they were going to deal with finding Cait could have been a lot more explosive than it was.

Good characters, fun story, just a tad sad it wasn't more than it was.

Undercover Submissive had an interesting story line that was well developed and the characters were developed to make an enjoyable story. It was a fantasy of what a true BDSM relationship that is built on trust and communication could be, but not a true BDSM fully developed relationship. Of course they just met and went off on this crazy adventure to rescue the twin sister, so maybe in a sequel the relationship could be developed properly. The suspense of finding the sister, the evil man who has her and the escape added an element of mystery and suspense. The roller coaster ups and downs of emotions of both main characters added to the story too.

The number of grammar errors was high and it really needs a good edit. As a retired teacher with more student papers corrected over the years than I want to think about, this is so obvious to me. The quality of the writing was excellent and it is a shame that the author does not get her work properly edited. She has great potential as a writer if she gets the grammar thing under control.

This is a short read.

Cayce's twin sister Cait is missing and the because of Cait's background as a stripper the police aren't really looking for her. They just keep putting Cayce on the back burner.

Cayce is determined to do something to find Cait. After going through Cait's room, Cayce finds a business card with the name Dylan and her diary. Cayce determines that Cait has been in Dom/Sub relationships. She looks on the internet and learns about the Dom/Sub world. After some education, Cayce calls Dylan pretending to be Cait.

Cayce, pretending to be Cait, goes to Dylan to try and find out if he has any information on Cait. Cayce has Dylan fooled until she has her first orgasm. Dylan is shocked...then demands answers. Upon admitting to Dylan the truth about why she is there, Dylan decides to help her locate her sister.

It was an interesting story. Enjoyed the storyline. The only complaint was editing issues.

Oh my! This is a tempered, tender and consentual introduction of a woman into the world of BDSM.

Cayce has took it upon herself to find her missing twin sister, Cait. No one seems to want to help her, so she will do it herself. This leads her into into a world of pleasure-pain. Dylan agrees to be her Master and to train her to be a submissive. While she experiences fear of the unknown, she is oddly aroused by it as well and finds herself craving more. Dylan is enthralled with the slave and her ability to conform as quickly as she does.

Her sister needs her and Cayce is willing to do anything to get her free. Dylan has a plan, but is Cayce ready?

This is definitely adult reading. The acts portrayed were done tastefully and without vulgarity. The author painted the most delicate pictures of BDSM. She had me wishing I was Cayce...sigh.

All 3 stars are for Dylan and Cayces interactions

For the somewhat dark subject matter this is actually a pretty sweet story. Dylan is a great character and Cayce does the innocent yet secretly passionate thing very well.

What kept me from giving a higher rating was the fact that the whole thing with Serif was quite confusing. It almost seemed like excuses were being made for him for much of the story and the ending was very frustrating because Dylan just took the girls and left and there were no repercussions for the bad guy at all. He was clearly abusive and a horrible person and we got no justice at all. I also had read issues with Dylan training Cait. Even though he didnt have sex with her the way he "trains" submissives is very sexual and we are not told that that changed at all.

Cayce's twin sister Cait is missing and the police are not working very hard at trying to find her since she's a stripper. Cayce reads her sister's diary and finds her writing about BDSM, and she also finds a business card for millionaire playboy Dylan St. Clair. She poses as her sister when going to meet Dylan, but finally confessing to who she really is - a shy librarian. Dylan agrees to help her find her sister, but Cayce will need to pretend to be in the lifestyle. This was a quick read with some sexy scenes. Too many typos, mis-used words and some not-believeable behaviors earned this book only 3 stars.

The grammatical errors made it impossible for me to read.
I mean - it's a book, you claim to be writer - ACT LIKE ONE!
It was really embarrassing, sorry. I expect a certain minimal level from a book, and it was terrible, really.
What I HAVE read was a bunch of annoying stereotypes regarding BDSM.
BDSM is not a cult, it's a sexual preference, even orientation, and the way it's portrayed in book was, for me, sometimes disturbing, sometimes purely ridiculous.
It's too bad. I loved the idea of the book and I really wanted to like to book too. The lack of proofreading makes it impossible.

I really wish that I could like this book! I liked Cayce and Dylan right up to the ending!! After the promises that he made her, he did that?!?!?!?!?! No F-ing way!!!! Cait had Lawrence that could have helped her.... Dylan should have kept his promise to Cayce that he'd never ask her to share him!!!! That ruined the whole story for me! Up until that my only complaint was that this book needed a good editor.

I Really loved Cayce and Dylan. I'm not into the heavy BDSM scenes in books. When I started reading I didn't know if was going to like it but the characters drew me in. Dylan wasn't a cruel Dom & Cayce was brave considering what she'd already been thru In her childhood. The story was sweet & I fell in love with Dylan.
I'd recommend this book especially if ya like clogs little flogger action but not the heavy BDSM. This is a great book!!!!

The character's are strong and could just as easily be your next door neighbours.

I was gifted a copy of this book by the author. This book reminded me alot of 10 nights. The same type of woman, stuttering and clueless. The male is a billionaire dom. I just couldn't get into the book. I did think the plot line was good, a girl looking for her missing sister, however the characters were not to my liking. WaAR

There were many grammatical errors/typos but they did not take away my understanding what was going on so these errors were not a big deal. However, I thought this story would have benefited from being longer. The whole plot felt rushed. I was also disappointed that .

Loved the story, which in itself was hot, but also liked that the author visited the psychological aspects of the BDSM lifestyle. Lots of grammatical errors and misspelled/incorrect words, which are always distracting to me, but after a while I was largely able to ignore them.
