he's also the newest Hire at NEXTUS - and a single Dad.

it comes as it must - the two of them find themselves tangled in Sheets. but, come morning, Kennedy is the lone Pwrson i Bed. Knox has left - and she has no idea why.

it's said you always meet twice... well, this is not wuite true, when you not only live in the same Town, but are both also working on keeping said town safe...


This Book can be read as a Standalone, but it's stongly suggested to read the other Books in this Series - in chronological order - for maximum reading enjoyment.

I am in awe of Lacey Kendrick and her gift with words. She continuously delivers quality books that keep her fans coming back for more. I am a devoted and loyal fan of Lacey's because not once has she failed to deliver a quality book that I didn't love. Her plots are well thought out and original unto to themselves with characters who I find impossible not to love. Well, except for the unfavorable characters of course. I have always been able to feel a connection with the characters in her stories which has definitely added to my over all enjoyable reading experience. The books Lacey writes have depth within each and every page bringing forth stories that have meaning with minimal intimate scenes so as not to distract the reader. I appreciate that Lacey has managed to not be predictable and keeps me on my toes. Each book can be read as a standalone, but for an overall better reading experience I would recommend reading them in order. There are appearances of characters who have been in each of these books as well as certain situations that took place previously are mentioned and will have no real meaning. I am excited to read the next book in Lacey's Nextus Security Series. If you like stories that are entertaining and filled with plenty of action then you are going to want to read Off Limits Protector because you will find that and so much more in this book.

Kennedy is the Chief of Police for the Grove Rock Police Department. With her career she has become lonely and realizes she wants a special someone to share life with. Her friend Winnie convinces her to hang out at pub after work to enjoy a few drinks and catch some live entertainment. This is where she meets Fraser and from this point on her life will never be the same again and that's not a bad thing.

Fraser and his son Seamus are moving to Grove Rock where his brother Brody lives. He is a Nextus Officer and Fraser has been hired to work for them. But, first he has gig at a local pub where he meets Kennedy and his life now has new meaning. Brody continuously tries to convince Fraser to stop seeing Kennedy because she is a horrible person. Lucky for her Fraser doesn't see the monster his brother is painting her out to be and takes the time to get to know her. But, it isn't smooth sailing for Fraser and Kennedy because they have a few things to work through if they want to spend forever together.

Conflict, disapproval and doubts can’t stop Fraser and Kennedy from desiring each other or from wanting more. Both are in law enforcement and protection for a small town. Unfortunately, they work for two different entities that are at odds with each other, each vying for control or so it seems. As the chief of police, Kennedy has to maintain her decorum at all times while in public in order to keep the respect of the townspeople and. her officers. Her one night stand with a handsome guitar player was very out of character for her. His leaving without a goodbye that night was a shock and both are surprised to later find out the other’s position in the community. The petty squabbles, the tension and the posturing between her officers and Nextus personnel is getting on her last nerve and doesn’t help her wavering relationship with Fraser. His brother also works for Nextus and is firmly against any relationship or connection between Fraser and Kennedy. He is rather vocal about it actually, setting Fraser on edge and confusing Fraser’s son, Seamus. It is young Seamus who ends up drawing everyone together and fostering clarity, compromise and understanding, not only among those closest to him, but also within the community. Neither Kennedy and Fraser ever expected their one night stand to lead to a happily ever after.

Fraser is packing up his son and moving to a new city, new job and so they can be closer to his brother. Fraser meets Kennedy his first night in town at a bar and the chemistry is off the charts but things didn’t end on a positive note. They also didn’t expect to be on opposite sides of the professional line, GRPD police chief (K.C.) on one side with NEXTUS Security (Fraser and his brother Brady) on the other side of the line. This story had me not wanting to put it down. Kennedy came to town as the police chief and she was disappointed when things didn’t go her way in the love department with Eli but what she didn’t know was that she would get so much more with Fraser and his son. I am so glad that they were able to work through all the hurdles thrown in their path to the HEA and I couldn’t wait to see how things worked out.

This is a Single Dad, Enemies To Lovers and Ex Seals.
This is book 4 of the Protector Series and it continues to be just as good. I'm absolutely loving these books and the book boyfriend that come along with them.
Kennedy is trying to actually try to have a life as she is always seen to be stuck up ice queen.
So she goes out with her girls to try and have fun.
Fraser has moved here to be closer to his brother and also to give his son a stable life.
These two have instant attraction and have a hot one night stand. When Kennedy finally might have found someone, they are hit with ice cold water.
Kennedy works for GRPD and Fraser works for Nexus, as you will know both don't get along, so there goes their chance of anything. There is danger in town and now they must work together and maybe allow their hearts to love.
This book had Suspense, action, family, humour, emotion, love and spice.

I have loved every installment of this series so far and this one is no exception. The storytelling draws you in, keeps you held in suspense and then delivers you not only a satisfying conclusion to the mystery but also a happily ever after romantic climax.
Kennedy is the chief of police in Grove Rock. Her job is stressful and when she goes out one night, she's just looking for fun and a little escape. She goes to the pub and meets Fraser who is there performing then. They have one night together, but Kennedy wakes up alone. Turns out Fraser is also the newest hire to NEXTUS Security, so their paths continue to cross. His brother has a bad opinion of Kennedy and keeps pushing for him to not have a relationship with her. Fraser sees the woman behind the badge, though, and wants to see where they can go. He also has to think about his son, Semus, who adds a fun element to the story as well.

Part of the NEXTUS Security series, this book was superb. Each book in this series is an interconnected standalone, but we meet Kennedy in Eli's book.

Kennedy is the chief of police of Grove Rock and is ready to find someone to share her life with. She lets her friend talk her into going to a nearby pub for a night out.

Fraser is a single dad who is relocating to Grove Rock to work with his brother Brody at NEXTUS. He is also a singer who has a gig at a local pub.

Right from the start, the attraction between Fraser and Kennedy is palpable. But with their companies working together, any relatioship is off limits. Too bad their hearts didn't get that memo...

This series is so good - a blend of suspense and romance.

This is the fifth book in this series and this is Fraser and Kennedy’s story. Fraser is an ex-seal, who is a single dad to his son, and he is new in town as he moved closer to his brother and has a job at Nextus. Kennedy is unlucky in love, and is the ice queen, who is the new chief of police in town. When Kennedy is out in a bar with her friend, her eyes meet Fraser’s and there is an instant attraction between them, and they have a 1-night stand, only to find out the next day where each one works.
This is a well written story which is an enemies / lover’s romance, with action, suspense, danger, intrigue, emotions, twists, family, friendships, trust, mystery, undeniable chemistry, drama, tension, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and steamy page turner.

Fraser works for Nextus Security and Kennedy is the Chief of GRPD. When they meet, sparks fly. The two groups do not seem to want to work together but maybe these two will start a trend. The characters are believable, determined and protective of his son Seamus. The storyline has drama, danger, twists, surprises, romance, deep feelings scary and entertaining situations. As the town unites for the winter celebration, something almost deadly stirs through the crowd and the two teams must work together to save as many as they can. Loved their chemistry, the vivid locales, and the townspeople that show all the good of a small town. The ending was perfect.

This had it all and then some. Absolutely wow!!
Kennedy and Fraser met and had a one night stand but then finds out she works for the GRPD and he is an agent of NEXTUS.
I really enjoyed this book. The suspense was top notch and all the danger, intensity and of course romance between the two really took me for a great ride. It's a book I will read again as this story had all the facets I enjoy in a book.
Well written with really fast paced action and fantastic characters. I can't recommend this book highly enough.

This is a book in the NEXTUS Security Series by this author, and can be read as a standalone. It is a suspenseful romance between Kennedy and Fraser. These likeable characters, the strong connection, the combustible chemistry, and the unique plot make for an entertaining read. What starts out as a one night stand turns into something more. It is a love story with drama, steam, intrigue, action, frustrating moments, plus engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. A good addition to the series.

Another fantastic book in the series. Fraser and his son have just moved to the town and Fraser already has his eyes on someone. Kennedy is the Chief of Police and on a night out she sees Fraser and is instantly enamoured. Can they be together regardless of Fraser's brothers hostility towards her?... Will NEXTUS and the local PD finally work together?... Expect lots of twists, suspense, passion, mystery and more throughout their story. It's great to see others from previous books too. Who's story will be next?...

Fraser is singing in a bar, in his new hometown when he sees a beautiful lay. Kennedy likes the look of Fraser too, so they end up back at her house but in the morning, he has gone without a trace. They are both shocked when they meet again at a meeting with a security group called NEXTUS and the GRPD, whom she is the chief for.
There are misunderstandings and uncertainty to sort out, as well as opposition to their budding relationship.

The only thing Kennedy doesn't love about being Chief of Police is the rivalry between the GRPD and NEXTUS. When Kennedy meets her co-worker Winnie at a pub after work, the man on stage playing the guitar catches her attention and she goes home with him. A new employee at NEXTUS and in Grove Rock, Fraser is playing guitar at a pub one night, when a woman sitting at the bar catches his eye. This story has a major health scare and is full of romance and steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

Kennedy is Chief of GRPD and meets Fraser at a local pub and sparks fly between them. Fraser has recently moved to town with his son and works for Nextus Security. They share an amazing night together and then things get complicated between them due to their jobs. Can they find their way back to each other? Can they be together?

This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

You are hooked into this book from start to finish, I thought Fraser and Kennedy were great characters who keep the story exciting from start to finish, and you get to see how the relationship goes and then despite everything they go through, they get stronger together and so to go a hea. This is a book and series that are a must read.

I like both Fraser and Kennedy. I like the drama and how it was written. The push back from Fraser's brother, the uncertainty of his son Seamus and the tension between Kennedy's police officers and the Nextus team all added the right amount of drama to the story. The suspense, mystery and action near the end adds to the story as well.

I loved Frazer and Kennedy‘s Story. We get insights into Chief Claythorne that show us the Kennedy behind. the Kennedy that Frazer sees when he meets her. Will others finally see the same. When some GRPD and Nexus try to keep them apart. And how a tragedy forces them to work together. If you want to know if the feud between these to parties finally stops you have to read the book.

I wondered if Kennedy would get her own book. I loved this book. I have read most if not all of the books in this series and have enjoyed them all. Kennedy and Fraser make a cute pair. Even though Brad does not like Kennedy. But once we have the winter festival thins seem to work better.

This is a good story. The writing is well
done and it flows smoothly throughout the book. Not only is there some chemistry and a couple of streamy scenes but there is also a bit of a mystery to be solved.

The odds were against them with Brady being the biggest stumbling block, but where there is a will there is a way.

Slowly the chopped away at the insecurities that had plagued them in both the personal and professional lives.

Kennedy has been the chief of police for six months now ,and they are about to run her to death. Can't they do anything themselves ? Frazer is a single dad and works for Nextus Security, with whom she is on thin ice. I love this series.

A fun, easy, escapist read. Likable characters who are as human and fallible as we are. Luckily, they got their HEA despite their flaws and mistakes. Also a nice twist to the familiar enemies to lovers formula.
