A Texas Ranger, a lady blacksmith, a fierce passion, a dangerous game.
Caleb Graham has spent the last four years in too many dangerous situations to count. As a Texas Ranger, he knows no fear, or at least he never shows it. When he’s sent to force a blacksmith off government seized property, he runs face to face into the woman who will change his life.
Aurora Foster grew up on the very land the obnoxious Ranger is trying to throw her off of. Her parents and her husband died for it and there is no chance she would leave without a fight. A lady blacksmith might be an anomaly but she has the strength of the steel she forges and the courage to fight for what she believes is right.
When Aurora is inadvertently injured by Caleb, he seeks medical help from a neighboring ranch. The sprawling hacienda is full of the finer things in life and the one person Caleb never expected to see again… his youngest brother Benjamin. Forced to flee from a man who has kept the boy captive, the trio become traveling companions in a deadly game where no one wins.
Life turns upside down and sideways for Caleb and Aurora, caught in a game neither of them expected while they desperately try to save the boy who was lost to his family. Pursued and hunted, the three of them ride for the Circle Eight ranch. The unlikely pair of rescuers fight their attraction and for their lives.

This is the third installment of the Circle Eight series, and it is the best one to date! I thoroughly enjoyed it, and was blown away by the excitement and everything that went on in one story! Not only was I on the edge of my seat in the second half of the book; but there was a lot that brought on my tears as well. I had happy and sad tears while reading this one, and if I hadn't of been hooked already by this series; this book would have captivated my attention immediately. It was just awesome! I can't wait to see what else is in store for these passionate and loyal Grahams.
Caleb is the second oldest brother in the Graham family, and he has grown up to be a Texas Ranger like his Brother in Law use to be. He is dedicated to his job, and tends to stay away from his family and ranch as much as he can. He has forgotten how important family is; but it the midst of him isolating himself, he is starting to feel lonely. He gets sent on a job to remove a blacksmith from his property, as the government owns it now. To Caleb's astonishment, he finds Aurora Foster. The blacksmith he's hunting turns out to be a woman...and a woman that Caleb becomes 'smitten" with right from the get go!!
Rory Foster is extremely strong willed, feisty, and not like a woman at all!!! Underneath her gruff exterior though, is a caring and loving gal. Even with that though, she refuses to be scared away by Caleb...so she puts up an extreme fight, until she ends up severely wounded...and the man who takes her and Caleb in ends up to have so many evil secrets that he is hiding...no one will ever be the same...
This is a huge journey, and it is full of heart, adventure, and let us not forget about the steamy sex!!! We are even treated to that...and believe me....sex in a tree ends up to be very interesting...LOL
This is really not my kind of book but I’m going to try to finish it. I think when a woman’s body part is referred to as a pu$$y it’s utterly disgusting. I know a lot of you don’t and I’m happy for you but this will be that last book I read of this author’s.
Caleb spent way too much time thinking about sex, even going as far as sending his little brother out into the night saying Rory needed a bath and not to come back in until Caleb said so then proceeding to have oral sex with her. WTH kind of brother does that.
I skimmed some, especially the sex parts. I don’t read books without sex but I don’t read dirty sex. I happen to like romantic sex and if these books had been that I would have read all of them.
I’m having bad luck with books for the past few days. Yesterday I read another book that used that horrible word but it was only used once so I was ok with that. This book felt the need to use it when it really wasn’t necessary. Like “the shadow of her pu$$y hair came into view.” Really? Even if I wrote those kinds of books I would have had to ask myself if that sounded right. And I would have said NO. AND she was unconscious and badly hurt and that’s where his mind was. AND this book was taking place in 1840 and the word pu$$y didn’t come into play until 1875-1880. See for yourself, use a dictionary, that’s more than this author did.
All that being said it was a really good storyline. I loved Caleb and Aurora, love, love, loved that she was a blacksmith. Loved Hannah, Matt, Eva, Elizabeth, Catherine, Eloise, Olivia and Brody. But most of all I loved Benji and absolutely hated Garza. It’s too bad about all these books.
There are two parts of this book for me. There’s Caleb and his story and romance, then there’s Ben. Lets talk about Caleb first. At the beginning of the book I thought Caleb was sexy, in a dark and brooding kind of way. He’s a Texas Ranger, willing to do everything to serve his country, even when that requires that he’s away from family.
He is tasked with kicking a “person” off government owned land. He was not expecting to get there and find a woman, let alone a lady blacksmith who has been running her shop from that location for years since her husband’s death. Aurora is not a girly girl, at times she can be worst than a man. But she’s tough and she’s a survivor. She’s probably the best thing that could’ve happened to Caleb to push him out of the funk he was in mentally. A girly girl couldn’t have done that for him, since he kept pushing them away. I can’t say these were my favorite characters in the series, because Brody is still #1, but they are both strong characters and fighters. I love that about them. Caleb was also caring and tender. It was so great to see them both have a chance to take care of each other. Caleb and Aurora are not instant combustion, they are a slow burn.
Then there’s the fact that every step of their relationship and what happens in this story leads them to Ben. And as much as Aurora and Caleb’s romance was great, my heart was all about Ben. We’ve been reading about this poor little boy who was taken from his family home and basically sold into slavery. I’m overjoyed that he is back with his family and that he can start his healing process. At times he broke my heart, and others he gave me hope. I can’t wait to “see” him smile again.
My only complaint about that was that I expected even more emotion when he reunited with his family, but I understand they have to give him time. I can’t wait now for the next one, both because I want to read Elizabeth’s story, whom I love, but to see Ben’s progress.
A Texas Ranger, trying to escape what he feels is the prison of home and family, is assigned the task of evicting a squatter from a piece of property the Republic of Texas has determined theirs in the old west. Imagine this Ranger's surprise when the squatter turns out to be a woman. Add in the discovery of a long lost brother and you have the makings for an interesting story.
I didn't dislike this book, but it just didn't pull me in. Some parts felt rushed, and some just lacked depth, .
What I was most disappointed in was the Benjy story. I assume, since this is book 3 of a series, Benjy's disappearance was discussed earlier. It was great he was found, but why was Benjy there? What happened to bring him there? I can appreciate Benjy not wanting - or not being able to - discuss things with his family, but we had several parts in Benjy's point of view. We could have perhaps gotten glimpses as to what had happened through memories or something. I'm not sure if that will be revisited in the future titles, but the Benjy storyline felt incomplete.
I just didn't connect with these characters and felt the love story was somewhat superficial. But, I will say this. The historical references and the way the author set the stage for the story was excellent. I was consistently reminded where - and when - we were. That was very well done.
Originally reviewed at My Devastating Reads. I love a good western romance, especially the stories in this sizzling series by Emma Lang. They are riveting and I love the characters and their adventures. In the third novel of the series, Benjamin was finally found and taken home and it was a heart warming, moving story as well as a gripping one.
Benjy's story is one that has yet to fully be told. I'm sure that will come in later novels, but I was very happy that he was found and brought home. He's still a young boy, but older in spirit than a boy of ten ought be because of his experiences, and I'm glad he's strong and smart as I'm sure it will help him adjust to living free again.
Benjamin is found quite by chance by his older brother Caleb, and Caleb's romance with Rory, a woman blacksmith is one that will make you laugh and groan. Both of them are stubborn characters, both of them tell the truth a little too baldly--as well as crudely!--and they certainly made this adventure interesting. I liked Rory a lot, she is one of the strongest heroines I've run across in my reading, and I love strong female characters in romance. Strength comes in many forms, but it's nice to see a heroine who can throw around her weight and her opinions the way Rory does.
Caleb is often described as a jackass throughout the novel, and I while he wasn't a hero I fell in love with, he was one I respected and liked a lot. And I thought he and Rory were incredible together, so that made this reader very happy to see this couple end happily ever after. And, I liked seeing Caleb grovel a little too.
A fun read, filled with quick wit you'll find yourself turning the pages to the heartwarming end of this great western romance. I certainly did.
2.5 stars for romance and characterization 3 stars for storyline and unique heroine
This book should have been called Finding Benjy! Benjy is the lost Graham brother who Matt, and especially Olivia had been trying to find over the course of the first two books in this series. Benjy's reunion with his family, after five years of being captive, was heartwarming and poignant.
On the other hand, the love story of this book's MC was cursory, kinda of sloppy, and sort of painful to read, even while it still held a unique charm. The hero and heroine were adequately characterized separately. Separately, they were at least intriguing, but together, their characters suffered and so did the romance. This is because the heroine was way more interesting than the hero(who seemed too tepid one minute and then miraculously %100 sure he about his love & future the next). The author dropped the ball on building their relationship more, which is something she did a better job of in book 1 & 2. Another thing the author failed to follow through on was how Benjy came to be captive. It was great that he was found, but I was very curious as to what really happened the day he was taken on to how he got where he came to be. Putting it together from the last book and the bit of flashback that Benjy has in this one, I got the gist of it. However, perspective of this major conflict is never achieved.
Yet, the gang that is the Graham family are all included, with some specific characterization of certain siblings who we know will get a story soon.
The thing is...I like these characters as a family. When they are together, it's great. With this theme of family struggle, heartache and togetherness, the dropped in sex scenes and attempt at eroticism is kind of out of place. This was especially apparent in this story. Nevertheless, the potential is still there for this series.
I am not usually a fan of historical novels, but these books of the circle8 are wonderfully told, with lots of laugh out loud moments and give a great snapshot of the past. Eminently readable.
Caleb Graham didn’t want to be a rancher. Not after he’d met Brody Armstrong, the Texas Ranger assigned to the case when his parents were killed and his youngest brother Benjamin was kidnapped. Now, five years later, that’s exactly what he is, a Texas Ranger. He rarely gets home to the Circle Eight. Though he misses his family, all they do is grumble about how he never comes home even when he does. So he keeps to himself, preferring the often solitary life of a Ranger. When he’s assigned the task of removing a squatter on some land that the Republic of Texas has seized, he was in no way prepared for the woman he would meet and everything that followed that meeting.
Aurora “Rory” Foster is a blacksmith and she is talented and damn good in the forge. An only child, her father saw nothing wrong with teaching her his trade when she showed a talent in it. When her parents died, Rory and her husband took over the homestead and Rory took over the forge. Nobody cared that she was a woman doing a man’s job. So much so, that when her own husband died, she continued on just as she always had.
When Caleb shows up to remove Rory Foster from the now government owned land he is shocked to find that Rory Foster is a woman; a stubborn woman who is not going to give up her home and everything she owns just because he says so. She’s prepared to fight and fight she does. When Rory gets hurt and Caleb is forced to find a doctor, he could never imagine the series of events that would follow.
Caleb is book three in this series that follows the lives of the eight Graham children who struggle to manage their ranch after the horrific death of their parents and the kidnapping of their youngest brother Benjamin. It is about five years later, and Caleb has become the Ranger that he wanted to be after meeting Brody Armstrong, the man who would become his sister Olivia’s husband. He’d always looked up to Brody and when he realized he wanted to be a Ranger, he left the farm and his family to do just that. When he’s sent to remove Rory Foster, her injury begins a chain of events that he had never imagined.
This one started off a bit slow for me, but that changed very quickly once Caleb arrives at Rory’s homestead. Rory was a complete surprise and I loved her immediately. She’s only in her early 20’s but her own life tragedies-losing her parents and her husband-have made her a very strong and self sufficient woman. When Caleb arrives to tell her that the government has seized her property because women cannot inherit land, she’s furious. She has no intention of leaving her forge, her only way of making money and supporting herself. She puts up a great fight, and when she’s injured Caleb takes her to the only doctor in town.
This is where the story really takes off! In getting Rory help, Caleb inadvertently stumbles upon his missing brother Benjamin and his once simple task of removing a squatter becomes a rescue mission. Trying to figure out how to escape with Benjamin and an injured Rory is a daunting task, but he refuses to leave her behind because he knows what Garza will do to her if he does.
Caleb, Rory and Benjamin make their escape, but they are in no way out of the woods. They will all deal with so many obstacles along the way, the least of which is Caleb and Rory’s blossoming attraction to each other. They are 200 miles from the safety of the Circle 8 ranch but they are determined to get there.
The original story arc of Benjamin’s kidnapping is tied up nicely in here and I was so glad that he was found this early in the series and that the author didn’t drag it out making it the source of constant pain for the family over the course of several years. As it is, he’s 10 or 11 now, so he’d been missing for five years. What does not come out is what he actually went through over that time. He’s mute when Caleb finds him and doesn’t start speaking again till much later in the story and even then he doesn’t say much. I assume at some point, we’ll learn what he’s been through and at this point I’d rather not speculate.
I loved that the author paired Caleb with a woman like Rory. From the outside, she looks like a tomboy-short hair, trousers, and she’s stick thin without any curves-but she’s tough and from the moment they meet Caleb sees her as a woman even when she’s doing her worst. Caleb, of course, is the hot gorgeous muscular cowboy and those attributes do not escape Rory’s notice. But no matter what is thrown at her, Rory perseveres. It’s a fight for them to find that place where they can be a couple because Rory is so not a typical woman of this time. She’s lived like a man for years and I really enjoyed watching Caleb fall for her as she is and not try to change her.
This installment is filled with much more action and adventure than the previous books and the ride is fast paced and enjoyable once we get going. Finding Benjamin will go a long way in helping this family heal from their loss and I really look forward to watching the remaining siblings grow up and to see where the author plans to go.
If a few years back someone would have told me that I would learn a great deal about history, home remedies and ranch life just by reading a romance book, I would’ve laughed. But sure enough I did learn, and instead of laughing I loved this book so much I CRIED. I had a wonderful and exciting trip to the very (old) Wild, Wild West through the pen of Mrs. Lang; and I must say It was a very heart melting one. “Caleb” is the third installment of the “Circle Eight” series. We learn the story of Ranger Caleb Graham who years before had left the Circle Eight in search of the thrill of becoming part of the high authority of the recently freed Republic of Texas. I have a confession to make: I had NO idea Texas was ever a Republic. I know, I know, but please forgive my lack of knowledge of American History. My whole education was directed towards Latin American History, so this was absolutely marvelous for me since it kicked my curiosity and made me want to learn more about this fact. I’ve been reading and doing my own research on the topic ever since. I can say that those bits and pieces of history I read, only made me love this book even more. Caleb is a fearless Texas Ranger, who joined the forces in search of his real purpose in life, after his parents had been murdered. While in service to the Republic he seldom stops by the Circle Eight to visit his family anymore, but manages to do so while on a mission for which he must travel more than 200 miles north in search of a stubborn blacksmith who not only knows her way with steel, but also with Caleb’s temper. We also meet Aurora “Rory” Foster who works as a blacksmith, occupation she learned from her late father and that has kept her afloat after her husband Horatio died. In fact, her flawless work with a forge and anvil has made her famous in the region and it’s been through this art that she’s been able to survive after losing her husband. I believe Rory Foster has been one of the greatest female characters I have ever read about. Not only is she a strong and determined woman, but also stubborn and fearless, something that inevitably caught Ranger Graham’s attention. Rory is that kind of woman capable of defying any and all obstacles to achieve her goals. For example, smearing a urine poultice over Caleb’s would after making it in front of his brothers. Yep, that’s Rory: “What the hell?” Matt stepped back as if she was going to hurt him. “I need to make a paste with the ash and piss. It’s a good way to stop the blood. My father taught me when I was a girl.” She forced herself to piss enough to make the paste the right consistency. After she’d yanked up her trousers, she mixed the ingredients together until it was ready. The two Graham’s stared at her while the other two men stood behind with the horses. All of them were silent and motionless. “Someone peel back the shirt so I can smear this on him.” Nobody moved. “He’s going to bleed to death.” Matt moved closer and put his hand on his pistol. Rory’s fury knew no bounds. She growled at him and removed the blood-soaked shirt herself. The sound of the pistol clearing leather was loud in the forest. “I won’t let you smear piss on my bleeding brother. Move away.” I don’t really care what you say or do right now, Matt Graham. The only thing that matters is Caleb. I won’t let you stop me from saving him.” She got to her feet and shook the bloody shirt. “He’s dying and you’re letting it happen.” She threw the shirt at him. “Now, are you going to help me stand there showing me your dick is bigger than mine?” When Caleb and Rory meet it’s definitely not in the right circumstances or time, but nonetheless the attraction is felt since the minute they laid eyes on each other. After a quite bumpy nap on a tree, a very nasty cut and the urgent trip to the nearest doctor available, Caleb ends up taking Rory to the last place on earth he ever thought he would find the missing piece of his family’s puzzle: his brother Benjy. Benjy’s character is remarkable. He is the greatest example of bravery in the worst situation possible. He captivated my heart and made me realize that you can be small, but extremely courageous. For those who have followed the series, you will remember what happened to Benjy; so imagine Caleb’s amazement and joy to have found him when he was least expecting it. And it is through Benjy’s courage and strength that Caleb finally agrees that it is time he must return to that one place he is more missed from: the Circle Eight. As all three run for their lives and hide from the bad guys, we learn that this is a story of awakenings, an exciting adventure through a vast land, the pleasure of freedom, the unforgettable beauty of the Old West and the feeling of home and love only an amazing book like this can deliver.
Texas 1840, Caleb Graham's next assignment as a Texas Ranger, is to remove blacksmith Rory Foster from government owned property. Caleb thinks it's going to be a simple job, until he meets Rory and all sense goes out the window.
Caleb Graham has been a Texas Ranger for four years now since leaving the bosom of the ever growing Graham family holding, the Circle Eight. The second son in the family of six, Caleb needed to break out of the confines of his family, make a name for himself and possibly find clues as to the whereabouts of his youngest brother, Benjy, who was kidnapped five years ago after his parents were murdered. Benjy's disappearance has left a rift in the family that Caleb is determined to heal.
Before Caleb goes off on his assignment, he stops by the Circle Eight to see his family, but guilt wracks his very being when he see how his siblings have grown and his sister-in-law pregnant with her third child. Yes, Caleb stays away for long periods of time from the family, using his Ranger work as his excuse.
When Caleb arrives to evict the blacksmith, he is stunned to discover Rory Foster is not a man, but a very stubborn woman who is not going to stay quiet and allow Caleb to evict her. Rory Foster AKA Aurora, is a widowed blacksmith trying to survive on the land her father left her. A bit awkward, Rory is the best at what she does, her work is coveted by all those in the surrounding area. When Caleb attempts to complete his mission he is met with Rory's resistance and then the roller coaster of events, from injury to discovery, from elation to romance rolls on.
The Circle Eight: Caleb is the culmination of years of struggle with the Graham family and their loved ones. How one family attempts to continue on when so much tragedy has befallen them and rise once again in the midst of the country even better than before is a gift, and only can be told as such my Emma Lang AKA Beth Williamson. Caleb proves that family overcomes all adversity. With Emma Lang's strong and colorful characters, the Graham legacy promises to continue on, and excitedly so. I love the Grahams, they are gutsy and enjoyable and always a pleasure to meet. I loved The Circle Eight: Caleb and I know you will all as well.
I was hoping for a solid, well written adventure with a feisty woman and a jaded Texas Ranger. Instead I ended up reading what turned out to belittle more than smut. Too much badly written and implausible sex (she has what seems to be a punctured lung. He has a bullet in his back?) :0
And the use of the word 'pussy' was way way wrong, reducing any concept of 'love' to little more than porny sex.
The plot was thin and underdeveloped - what had happened to Benjamin? Why was he taken?
4.5 stars. What a great heroine for this story. Aurora, Rory, was one kick ass girl. I loved her and her sassy mouth. The great part here is that Caleb gave it right back. It has been 4 years and Caleb has been a Texas Ranger, taking assignments, and trying to find his brother Benjy. Things happen and they are the run. It was great to see all the Grahams again on the Circle 8 ranch. I liked this story very much. This is a good series and I look forward to more.
I enjoyed Caleb and Aurora's story. Their chemistry is strong, and the reader roots for them to find a HEA at the end. The reader's heart also goes out to the child Benjamin and what must have happened to him after the death of the Graham family's mother and father. I must admit, however, I skipped some passages. I chose the book because years ago I met Beth Williamson at a book signing, and the name registered with me. I admit I could do without so many curse words. That is a personal preference, not a criticism of Ms. Williamson's style (or in this case Ms. Lang's style). Also, as with books that are "steamy" (using the nomenclature found on Amazon), I often skip over paragraphs. I know how "having sex" works. Again, this is a personal preference and not a slam against the author. If someone else had written the book, I would have said the same, but I would be upset if I picked up this book without knowing these two facts about it. The one thing that is a personal preference that threw me off in the book is the use of multiple points of view, many times between paragraphs. Quite often I found myself going back to reread a previous paragraph to figure out who was speaking or who was advancing the plot.
This story had me until the end. After having read so many books in the last few years I can honestly say that few do any more. Caleb, a Texas Ranger is sent to force a blacksmith off state lands. Turns out the blacksmith is a woman. While trying to hide from him she gets injured and he takes her to a neighboring rancher for help. Thats when things get really complicated and it is a roller coaster ride from there. I would give this book a 4.5 stars but it needs a good editing and nothing infuriates me more than stumbling over missing words, or too many words, or incorrectly spelled words. Didn't anybody proof read this work?
Caleb Graham is a ranger sent to remove Rory (Aurora) Foster off the property that the Texas government sees as theirs. By law women aren't allowed to own property during these times. Once Rory's husband passes away the state wants to take the land and business from her. She isn't willing to go down without a fight. When she becomes injured Caleb takes her to the Hacienda to see the doctor. This book has some steamy romantic moments, some mild romantic moments, intrigue and action, all rolled into one. A great 5 star read!

I was browsing around last summer and discovered Emma Lang through her Heart series. I enjoyed them so I looked for other books written by Lang and stumbled upon her Circle of Eight series. I found myself intrigued by the premise so I started reading the first one, paused to buy the second one and finished them both. Unfortunately that meant I had to wait for Caleb. I am glad to saw that the wait was worth it because Lang provided adventure, danger, spirited arguments, the power of family, and character growth.
The Graham family was extremely close and with the murder of their parents and the associated kidnapping of their youngest brother they grew even closer with the exception of Caleb. He took his grief and shock over what happened channeled it into anger and self-centeredness. As a result as soon as he could, Caleb left the Circle Eight ranch and joined the Texas Rangers. Since becoming a Ranger he had gone from assignment to assignment without much of a break. The only thing that bothered him about not pausing was the fact that he had also been correspondingly short on female companionship. So when he received orders to clear a blacksmith off of land claimed by the Republic of Texas he wasn’t exactly in the mood to do that gently.
Aurora wasn’t what Caleb expected. Even though his sisters were all independent and determined he never really dealt with them and especially not as an adult. Aurora was determined, independent and she was a good blacksmith, which meant she was comfortable doing things most women wouldn’t consider doing. She also felt strongly that since the land had belonged to her father and then her husband since they were both dead the land and business should be hers. Not to mention it was situated in a very nice area that would be worth a lot of money in the future. She was so determined to keep her land and business that in the midst of getting away from Caleb she got hurt. After her injury the Caleb that no one ever saw emerged. He spent a lot of time and effort to nurse Aurora back to health and refused to leave her behind after they discovered Benjamin.
Their ability to put aside their enmity towards each other to work together to rescue Benjamin was amazing to see. The things they went through as they fled back to Caleb’s family were a true test of stamina and will. All of them ended up needing help from the others before they were safe. I will admit that I was worried that Aurora’s character had made a very abrupt change during the early days of their time at the Circle Eight ranch but thankfully Lang continued to keep her characters true. Aurora’s feistiness never left her as she deals with Caleb’s family and it quickly returned to her dealings with Caleb as he returned to his usual self-centered grouch. He had to learn some rather pointed lessons and get the help of his family before he was able to convince Aurora to stay and marry him. For her part, Aurora had to learn to value herself and how to deal with having a family again.
I ran the gamut of emotions while I was reading Caleb. There were times when Aurora and Caleb made me laugh as they argued. I was also very touched with Benjamin’s reunion and how finding him didn’t magically fix everything but the family still had to work to complete their circle. I was concerned and worried not just about Benjamin, Aurora, and Caleb on their journey but also for the other members of the Circle Eight if Caleb’s enemies found them. I also wanted to alternately shake some sense into Caleb and then Aurora as their stubbornness put their HEA in doubt. All in all I enjoyed reading Caleb. I know Lang has at least one more coming out in this series and I find myself curious about the external conflict since the one of the driving themes in the series to date has been solved.
What a awesome story. Caleb and Rory are both fun characters. This book is full of adventure and sass. I laughed so hard at times and wanted to jump in the story other times. I liked that Caleb's siblings appeared in the story. It made me want to learn more about them and their stories. I truly enjoyed this book and highly recommend. This is my first book by Emma Lang. Looking forward to more of her adventures with The Circle Eight.
Caleb a Texas Ranger, was sent to get a blacksmith off of property owened by Texas. The lady blacksmith gets injured and he takes her to the closest Dr. While there he finds his baby brother, who was kidnapped 5 years ago. They make their way back to his family ranch, the Circle Eight. Caleb and Aurora realize they were meant for each other. Wonderful western love story !!!!
Enjoyable. Life is nothing but twists and turns. Caleb joined the Texas Rangers in order to find himself and his purpose in life. While trying to evict Rory Foster from government land, he found love and his long lost brother, Benji. As well as solving an old case regarding a war criminal.
As brass as he is, Caleb will win your heart. Rory is as far from feminine as they come. She was just trying to survive. Her land was all she had and the state of Texas did not allow women to own land. When her daddy died, the state took ownership and she was not giving it up! This is a great story!
I have this book the rating I chose because I felt it deserves it. Though the main hero and heroine worked for this sort of book I'm now wondering if this book is the first in the series then realized it didn't matter since it was so good. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.
I love fate type of stories. I believe things happen for a reason IRL and in book life. This story was a pure example of that! I liked how the author told from a few different POV's, I just wish there had been a line of division when when went from one character to another. I'd like to read the others first but this can definitely be a stand alone without too much confusion.
This book was so much fun to read. I loved the adventure that Roy and Caleb went through. It was filled with excitement, emotions and love. Mustvof all filled with laughs!
I gave this book 5stars. I liked how the story unfolded then just by chance they found the brother! I also love Caleb and Rory's love. I love this series. I recommend the series to Romantics (like myself)
I could put this wonderful intriguing story down! The love, devotion, and craziness of this family was awesome. It was so intense I couldn't believe it. Can't wait to read more about this family.
She's a smithy unusual for back then. He's a Ranger with a thirst for adventure. He's got to remove her from her property because women can't own property. This was a very good read worth the time invested.
The story was interesting and I liked the characters. This is the first time forms for this author. I hate to Get hooked on another series but may continue this one.
Great story would like to have known more of the specifics of how benjy ended up with graza. And read the marriage of Caleb and rory. Great for those that like to read about the old days.
She didn't know where she could go so she fought him for what she believed was hers. The story was a good one just a little to much lauguage and sex for my enjoyment. Did enjoy how story told how family helped each other.
