I am using this book and it is really worth it if you are studying by yourself. It is true that I had to use YouTube to understand the pronunciation on the first chapters. I think the hangul part could be better. However, I am really happy with the grammar, structure and vocabulary. Sometimes I have some doubts and it takes me some time to figure out the wording or how the grammar works, but once you get familiar using this manual, it gets easier.
It was nice for the author to include some culture key facts, it really encourages you to keep learning.

I found this publication quite interesting and fundamental. It provided the basic and necessary knowledge of Korean language. The writing style seemed quite simple as well. As entitled, the audience can find this publication sort of approachable since the content has been tailored to fit with beginning learners. Besides, several illustrations and contextual examples of the country were provided as well. Overall, I evaluate that this publication makes a worthwhile reference for anyone concerned about improving the fluency of this language.

Nice and colourful textbook. With easy to read font.
The lessons were easy to follow and had plenty of examples to follow.
Love how you can scan the barcode for each lesson and listen to the dialogue. I found that really helpful and simple to use and the Korean dialogue was authentic.
Highly recommend this for beginners

This is one of the best books out there for self-teaching! The book is well structured and easy to follow. It never made me feel like I was struggling, which I think is very important when it comes to learning a new language. The content is good, clear and won't make you feel bored! I couldn't recommend this enough :)

I didn't use the listening part but the book helped me gauge my progress by returning to the last couple chapters 9 months after I started studying it. I like the format and the short readings were helpful.

Regardless of some minor peeves; Korean made Easy for Beginners is an excellent book for people who want to learn Korean in Self-study. Its great structure and well balanced amount new vocabulary and grammar each chapter will make sure you will never feel overwhelmed. Furthermore the entire book has fun drawings to keep you company and make the entire journey less dull.

As a textbook, Korean Made Easy for Beginners is clearly aimed for a very broad audience and it is very suitable for self-study. The book comes with a key phrase book and audio CD; though you can download the files online. However, downloading the MP3-files was a very tedious process when I had to do it.

I can personally recommend the book and I am glad I got this. I still take it just to read the dialogues to practice Korean without the pressure of trying to figure out something new.

An excellent textbook that aids in the development of basic conversational skills. Each chapter, short and to the point, focuses on specific patterns with examples that illustrate realistic use.

The dialogues (two per chapter) are necessarily basic, and the colorful layout of key grammatical points makes for visually pleasing, accessible information. The accompanying CD/mp3 is pleasant enough, but too "studio perfect" for my tastes. True beginners, however, may find the audio indispensable for exposure and pronunciation practice. In sum, a great and fun communication primer.
