Love in Vacationland #2

What are the Chances

Rate this book
Colette had zero intention of ever going back to her tiny hometown in Maine, until her friend Farrah proposes a month-long vacation—and Farrah is a hard person to say no to. All Collette needs to do is keep her head down and avoid as many people as possible. It’s all going well until she runs into her high school ex’s little sister, Quinn, who isn’t so little anymore. Even though Colette has an instant attraction to her, where would it even go? Quinn is settled in Castleton and Colette is only there for a few weeks.
Quinn can’t believe that Colette is back in town. She’d had the biggest crush on her older sister’s girlfriend back in the day and now they’re both grown, and Colette looks better than ever. She can’t believe it when Colette shows interest in her and they end up falling into bed together, but Colette insists it’s a one-time thing and will not be repeated.
Except that it happens again. And again. And again…

Quick sexy continuation from Another Chance. What Are the Chances picks up with Colette’s pov and her seeing her ex’s very hot little sister. It didn’t end well with that ex but it was fifteen years ago (I think!) Little sister has had a big crush on Colette since she was young. They have amazing chemistry but can Colette move past the ex’s hurt?

I would have enjoyed even more from these two! Maybe their will be even more resolution in the next book since these characters never really had the conversation about the ex and they really need to because how can you truly move on or be sure since staying together means being a part of that ex’s life too. Can’t wait for the next book!

4 stars. Ex girlfriend’s little sister romance. Hell yes. I need more of this trope. Collette is a bit closed off emotionally after having her heartbroken by her ex girlfriend in high school. She runs into her ex’s little sister Quinn and there is a connection between them that Collette is trying to fight against. She’s afraid of getting hurt again. Quinn is very forward and isn’t afraid to let Collette knows how she feels. I liked both characters and thought they had really good chemistry. This was a sweet romance with a bit of angst with the third act drama but it wasn’t too bad. It was believable and it didn’t last long. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I can’t wait to read Hope’s book next.

What are the Chances is a short but delightful sapphic romance. Collette and Quinn are a wonderful grumpy/sunshine match, with Quinn slowly coaxing Collette out from behind her wall of heartache and fear, and Collette gradually revealing her soft side. The surrounding characters are fun and entertaining, creating the tight knit, queer found family that Chelsea M. Cameron always brings to life so well.

What are the Chances is another fun, if rather brief, trip to small town coastal Maine. Colette and Quinn make a cute couple, although it takes a while for Colette to get out of her own way. There is a decent and largely familiar supporting cast providing occasional nudges at appropriate times. This is an enjoyable quick read with the expected HEA ending.

My Girlfriend’s Little Sister

Colette and Hope had decided to stay in Maine and keep working. Then Colette keeps running into Quinn Evans, her high school sweetheart’s little sister. When she finally gives into her desires and Quinn responds she knows she’s in trouble. Will Maine work it’s magic and heal a broken heart? A sweet romance and finding closure with a broken heart.

Loving this!

Another cute story by Chelsea. I couldn’t put this book down once I started it. I loved the Castleton series as well as this continuation.
I’m more than curious about Hope!

Amazing

Getting over heartache sucks. Definitely think this book shows a wonderful way to start that healing process. Looking forward to book 3.
