F.D. Fair writes fierce, heart-stealing paranormal romance full of the strange, the magical, and the beautifully unexplained. Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, she’s a devoted wife and proud mom of three wild, wonderful boys who constantly remind her that real life can be just as unpredictable as her books.

A lifelong fan of all things supernatural, F.D. fell in love with paranormal romance as a reader first — until the stories in her head grew too vivid to ignore. She turned her daydreams into words, and the Westwood Pack Series was born: a world of shifters, prophecies, true mates, and bonds strong enough to burn down any cage.

When she’s not writing about loyal Alphas, headstrong heroines, or the secrets that lurk in the shadows, you’ll find her curled up with a good book, coffee in hand, plotting her next adventure into the unknown.

Axel and Zeke are identical twin bear shifters born to the alpha of their sleuth. They share their soul and have realized that they will share a mate. Their father the alpha has made it his mission to help out lost and solo shifters. When he goes to rescue a young tiger shifter, he is ambushed by hunters and murdered. Axel feels that he needs to move his sleuth to a new safe place but Zeke wants revenge. He goes out taking down the hunters but then finds himself being hunted. He decides to shut down the bond between him and his brother and then say goodbye before the hunters kill him. On his way to his brother, he runs into their fated mate Opal. His bear can't resist having her one time but afterwards he rejects her to keep her safe. Two hours later, he is captured by hunters and held captive for 11 years.

Opal was just a teenager when she met her mate Zeke and was heartbroken when he rejected her. She kept it a secret from everyone and left her family to stay with a coven friend across the country. her friend gave her a potion to help numb her pain but it numbed all feelings. Not wanting to be hurt again she decided to start a family with someone not her mate to save her heart but the potion sent her a little nuts. Finally ten years later she returns home for good and stops taking the potion. She realizes that the potion twisted her and she wants to be her old self again. When her old coven helps rescue a lab, she is shocked to find her mate as one of the rescued victims. Struggling to cope with the pain, she tells him to go away. She is shocked to find out that her fated mate has a brother who is also her mate. Maybe she has hope for the future again.

DNF 83%: read the previous books before!

Yeah, I didn't know that it was better having read the previous book in this serie☹️ Thought it was standalone but let me say that I had the unpleasant feeling all along the book that I missed a few things...
So, it wasn't a bad book but I didn't finish it because the end began to sound quite crazy with their totally unrealistic project🙄 I like fantasy but here it was too much and I lost interest...

Phenomenal Romance

Opal is heartbroken on her birthday when she finds her mate and he rejects her. Eleven years later fate is playing a nasty game, her mate is thrown back into her life and so is his twin, whom is also her mate. Two Mates, what were the Goddesses thinking?

Zeke made a mistake, but did so with good intentions, too protect those he loves and cares for. He has paid a price for the last 11 years. He is a strong, loving, protective male that is now a little broken. Axel is a commanding, caring and patient man. He has led the slueth by himself for the last 11 years, he retreated from his friends when his twin went missing. Opal has been protecting herself from the hurt for years, she is finally allowing friends back into her life and learning to trust and grow as a person.

A story of second chances, love, trust, growth and forgiveness with a little action thrown in. I loved these 3 main characters, they are each so different and yet the same. They have had to overcome there own hurts and learn to trust others again. They complement each other in life and are a formidable force together. The chemistry with Zeke, Opal and Axel is off the charts.

Everytime I read one of FD Fairs books I am transported into this world of shapeshifters, witches, vampires and more. A page turner for sure, I can't get enough of this series.

This book has left me utterly speechless. F.D. Fair has truly managed to capture this story perfectly and intertwine a shifter romance with so many other amazing elements that really sets it apart. I loved reading about Axel, Zeke, and Opal, and the path that brought them together as a mated triad. It’s the first trio in the series and I was impressed with the chemistry that shines between the three of them. With the new twists coming to light in this book, I’m really excited to see what’s next in store. On to the next book!

Loved it.

This is book seven in The Westwood Pack series and just like the previous six books I absolutely loved it! Once again I was completely drawn into this world. F.D. Fair writes amazing characters and makes you feel their emotions. I loved Opal, Zeke and Axel's story. As with the other books in the series there's are twists. I love how this pack keeps growing and becoming one big paranormal family. I can't wait for the next book.

Oh my we are up to book 7 in the Westwood Pack series already and it is a two mate book. This one is about Opal and her identical twin mates (bear shifters). This one i will say is a real roller coaster ride of emotions so get ready! I don’t want to give away too much though.
Opal meets Zeke one of the identical twins on her birthday. Unfortunately for good reasons he has to reject her but of course it is still heart breaking and of course she has no clue why.
Opal heartbroken leaves her family and friends to try to get over the heartbreak. She returns to them after 10 years. Zeke also goes missing for 11 years. When he reappears after he is rescued she learns of his twin Axel.
At this point the three of them have to figure things out because there are so many emotions of betrayal, love, fear and hope.
As always check your TWs! I recommend this book and the entire series. So worth the read!!!

Two Mates

So starting this off, I was a little scared to see how it would play out with two mates. I think it worked really well.
Opal went through hell when Zeke rejected her and Axel didn’t even know he had done so. Can she forgive Zeke? Will she only stay with Axel? Will Axel have to choose between his twin and his mate? So many questions arose but not to fear, they are all answered. I’m just not going to say what happens because I strongly suggest you read this entire series, especially if you like a good paranormal romance.
And then the epilogue will definitely bring everything full circle and give a new hope.
I can’t wait to read the next in the series.

Opal has been through it. Finding and being rejected by her mate, reinventing herself to trap a chosen mate, and having a come to Mother meeting with that potential mate's mate. Whew! Book seven of the Westwood pack series does not disappoint. More twists, monkey wrenches, and hot, hot steam are thrown into this tale of forgiveness and redemption.

This was another great addition to The Westwood Pack. The characters were entertaining while the story line was engaging. I can't wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

Things are getting crazy for the Westwood Pack, the Coven, and now the bear sleuth. Up to now, the danger has been from dark mages and hunters, with some nebulous that prophesied.

Against the backdrop of this growing threat, Opal finds her mates. That’s right, plural. She learns she’s mastered to not one but two twin bear shifters. And more one of them had already rejected her years before.

I’ll admit, the relationship in this one, while very hot, felt a bit weak to me, plot-wise. But that might very well be because the underlying story of this series has taken a very interesting turn. I’m eager to read more!

Zeke and Axel are twins who know they will share the same mate. When their father is killed, Zeke does the only logical thing: tries to hunt and kill the ones that killed him. He never planned on meeting his mate, or being in danger while with her. He makes a painful decision to reject her, but was it the right one?

This was my favorite book in the series, just because I loved Zeke's character. He did what he thought was right to save his family and mate, and he stood behind his choice even if it was painful for him. The author did a great job in giving us details to explain why everything that happened was so impactful, and the steam was perfect. I loved that Opal truly tried to push past what happened and gave Zeke a small chance to explain himself.

Some events didn't make sense. Zeke and Axel have a telepathic connection, and I never could understand why that wasn't used when Zeke was in danger, or why he didn't tell Axel he met their mate. Also, Zeke was given a lot of grief for his choice, and I feel it was severely unjustified. It made no sense and I wish the author gave him more of a chance with everyone. Yes rejecting mates is a bad idea, but even his twin couldn't understand it and I felt that just didn't make sense at all.

Bears!!

I’m glad we got to know more about the bear shifters. This is only the second book I’ve reward with bears. I was worried about Axel in the other books. I’m glad we got his story. Even though there’s a part of this story I’m just not fond of, I’m not letting that take away from how I review this book. I just skipped over what was uncomfortable for me. This story is filled with magic and we get more of the ancient gods in this. It’s cool how it’s worked into the story. I can’t wait to see how everything plays out and who the new enemy coming is. It’s a nice continuation of the series.

Author’s Review of Bound by Fate

Bound by Fate pushed me further as a writer than I ever expected. This story is messy, intense, and deliciously complicated — just like real love often is. Opal’s journey is one of betrayal, anger, forgiveness, and finding the courage to accept that sometimes the family fate gives you isn’t what you imagined… but it’s exactly what your soul needs.

Writing Zeke and Axel was both infuriating and rewarding — these identical twins have hearts that couldn’t be more different, yet they’re bound by blood, secrets, and one woman who was always meant to hold both their hearts. I poured every raw emotion I had into this story: the pain of rejection, the thrill of second chances, the sweetness of forgiveness, and the wild, unapologetic heat of true mates who refuse to be torn apart.

This book is a testament to loving fiercely, choosing family even when it’s hard, and trusting that fate has its own plans — whether you’re ready for them or not.

A Note to My Readers:
Thank you for diving back into the Westwood Pack with me. Every time you pick up one of my books, you make this wild dream of mine real, and I don’t take that for granted. Opal, Zeke, and Axel’s story is for anyone who’s ever felt not enough, too much, or caught between impossible choices — and I hope it reminds you that you are worthy of love that chooses you every single day.

Stay fierce, stay weird, and never stop believing in your own happily ever after — no matter how complicated it looks.

With love and gratitude,

I’m so MAD that i finally caught up to the last book! Now i have to impatiently wait for the next book!!!

Lol i really wish that Zeke had to beg for forgiveness longer than he had to! Like i understand that his actions were justifiable and sure he just got back from the hunters! But still lmfao! Would it had hurt him?

I’m so happy that Opal had the support that she needed from the girls. I definitely know how it feels to not really feel accepted in a group even when you really are. I’m really happy that Opal got the mates that she deserved. I definitely want to know more about that all woman coven! Those leaders are definitely up to no good.

The action is definitely gearing up and I’m so excited! It’s so hard not to do spoilers! But i can’t wait to see what happens now that the prophecy is starting to take form! Especially with granny coming in and saving the day. Also i LOVE how we found out that the hunters are NOTHING like how they’re supposed to be!

✅Rejected mate
✅Second chance romance
✅RH

Opal thought finding her fated mate would be all moonlight and happily ever after. Instead, Zeke — one of her twin mates — hit her with the ultimate rejection. Yup, nothing says “romance” like your soulmate saying no thanks. Ouch. 🥲
Fast forward: Opal’s older, tougher, and way less willing to put up with heartbreak. Enter Axel (the twin who actually has his act together). He’s determined to prove he’s not like his brother. Meanwhile, Zeke is back, full of regret, and fate is basically sitting in the corner eating popcorn, watching this mess unfold.

It’s part soap opera, part paranormal action flick, part “which twin would you pick?” poll. Fast, emotional, and a little chaotic — but in the best way.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — because fate is petty, mates are messy, and I couldn’t look away.

I am a sucker for multiple mates in a paranormal romance. After Opal was rejected by her true mate, she gets a second chance at happiness. She was another of the characters in this series that I really wanted to see find happiness. The romance between her and her mates is nice and steamy! In the world at large, we finally meet the true threat that the supernaturals, and really, the entire world faces. The twist the story takes is surprising. You will definitely want to read it to find out for yourself what happens! What's even better, the end of the book promises that there will be more to come in the future!

Ever since we first learned that Opal‘s fated mate rejected her, I had always wondered if we were going to get to hear more of her story. So I was happy to find out that the author chose to give Opal her own. However, I am not a fan of the female character having two mates. FYI, in case you want to skip it, Chapter 22 is where you will find Opal exploring both of her mates at the same time. I’m sticking with the series because I do want to find out how River and Riley‘s relationship develops through the next 4 books.

Opal & her mates story was one I didn't expect to like. I say this because I'm not a big fan of multiple partner relationships (I blame the one mate stories for this!). But her story drew me in about halfway point. I wanted more emotional depth than being told certain things, but overall it was a good story. More light than action and drama than the previous books. Oh and an interesting character appearance was a nice surprise. I like that we get more on the prophecy too!!

This book continues the series with new threats, prophecy developments, and the main character discovering two mates. The story has hot romance and expanding world-building, but the plot gets a bit unrealistic toward the end, and I wished for more emotional depth. Some character choices felt frustrating, yet the series keeps building in intriguing ways. Definitely read in order to understand everything.

My kryptonite is cheating and more than one mate. It’s just not for me. I skimmed this one in the series for this reason. I still need to know the important stuff so I read what I could. If you’re good with 2 mates, enjoy. On to the next in the series.

I couldn't wait to see the outcome of this triad. I wonder who the deity is that has come wreak havoc. Zeke, Axel and Opal were meant to be. I knew she would forgive her mate despite her fears.
