I needed to leave, it was my last chance to get away from my foster family before it was too late. So I grabbed as much cash as I could find and headed as far away as I could get.
Ending up in Ridge Valley, I plan on getting a job as quickly as I can. Only problem is that I didn’t have any more money for a motel.
Over hearing some of the locals mention how the ranch on the edge of town is still closed for the season. I decide my best option is to break into one of the cabins and crash there until I can make enough cash to get my own place.

What an excellent book. I normally don't tend to get into cowboy books, but this book made me what my own personal Marshall.

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review. What a great opening to this new upcoming series, Wild Thorn Ranch. This was a quick burn with enough plot to keep me engaged and reading in one sitting! Sophia has just aged out of the foster system and takes off on her own away from her foster dad where she meets Marshall on the ranch that his family runs. Despite the insane chemistry between the two, Marshall doesn’t want to feel anything for her. These two are like a s3xual dynamite once they give in.
This was a quick and super enjoyable cowboy read. I loved the characters and the spice was ON POINT. Marshall’s dirty mouth was 🥵 . This book has me really excited for the upcoming series!

He is determined not to like this hardworking determined ‘little girl’, but she is not afraid to go after what she wants and she knows deep, deep down her feelings are returned! Love watching the snark between them slowly melt away into a smoking relationship! Boy when Marshal goes in he goes all in 🥰
The only only thing for me was the Plan B, her forgetting or not having time seemed to be very little girl and naive which went a little against her character for me, had she taken it and it didn’t work then and that would have made more sense for that element personally!
Other than that I enjoyed this book and looking forward to getting the rest of the siblings stories 😄

Marshall is a good quick read for some hot cowboy smut. A little light on relationship building (especially in the beginning); I went in expecting more plot but was happy with the spice level and the MMC’s obsessive behaviors.
This is an inst-lust-turned-obsession type of relationship. The MC’s early interactions can best be described as toxic - using others to incite jealousy and force their true feelings to emerge. The ends justify the means, but this type of behavior out of a 30 y/o man just makes him appear immature. These actions from a much younger FMC are easier to allow.
Marshall is fast burn and spicy. The MMC’s dirty talk is panty-melting hot and shows his possessive side.

I really enjoyed Marshall and Sophie’s story. Sophie aged out of the system and needed to get away from her foster home. It wasn’t safe for her. Fortunately she gets away and stumbles across Ridge Valley and from there finds the ranch. Sophie falls first and it takes Marshall a bit longer to accept his feelings for her. When the two were together boy were they hot and steamy. Throughly enjoyed this book.

OMG I loved this book! It was sassy and spicy! The way that Marshall and Sophia come together! *chefs kiss* This is book one of the Wild Thorn Ranch Series but is a standalone. It’s fast paced and a quick read! I ate it up!!
Sophia is on the run and she ends up in a small town. She’s the strong and sassy FMC and she takes what she wants! Marshall being 12 years older than her, is a grumpy, broody, asshole cowboy that becomes obsessed and protective over her!
I want more of this couple! I loved their banter and heat between them! There is also a very specific “branding” scene that blew my mind! 😮💨 I hope to see a little snip or more of them in book 2! I can’t wait for Wyatt and Weston’s story!

This was a fun little contemporary read! It’s been a long time since I read a M/F romance. I like how determined Sophia was to get what she wanted. I was not a fan of how immature and irresponsible she was. It kinda irritated me while I was reading. Marshall was just a grumpy cowboy and I love how Sophia came into his life and just wrecked everything he thought he knew. If you are look for a fun cute read, this is it. I love these authors and can’t wait to see what’s next!

I really enjoyed this book, it had a great plot, great banter between the characters and had me desperate to see what would happen next. I love Marshall he’s growly, possessive and loving. I like that Sophia gives him as good as she gets and the banter between them makes the sexual tension sizzle on the page. If you’re looking for a sexy cowboy read with great characters you won’t be disappointed!

I LOVE how much everyone immediately clicked with Sophia and loved her. After seeing her not having a great foster experience it was so nice to see her have people accept her. When it said co-workers with benefits? I was like that’s the most perfect description…like ever. Never heard of it said that way before so it was genius. I won’t lie though. Hadley and Sophia’s instant and genuine connection was my favorite part of this book. It’s so nice to see friendships like that. Sophia really needed a break and Hadley gave her that and set her up to succeed for the rest of the book. “Possessive, obsessive, and downright feral” is the PERFECT way to describe Marshall and is exactly how I like my fictional men. Sophia was also so feisty and realistically, it didn’t feel forced like it usually is in books. I freaking LOVE HER. When she punched that woman my jaw was ON THE FLOOR.
My friend’s nickname is Felon though so uhh lets just say every time Marshall said “Little Felon” I was cringing. And it was A LOT. But I still loved his nickname for her. I would forget for a little while that he calls her that and then I’d get that reminder and be picturing my friend mid sex scene.
This scene had me DYING and it wasn’t even the funniest one. For reference this is their first time and they’re going at it outside of his family’s house.
“Oh, shit,” that didn't come from me or Marshall that has my head whipping up and to the side. My eyes widen in horror when I see Weston and Wyatt in the window.
Chuckling, Wyatt disappears out of sight, but Weston stays long enough to give me a wink before leaving.
M: “Fuck,” he hisses.
S: “What?” I ask. If this man is about to say this was a mistake, I'll rip that dick right off his body.

The scene on the mechanical bull?? SO original and hot. Give me a rancher every dang day of the week! Marshall certainly opened a new door for me in terms of tropes I would love to continue reading and I certainly can't wait to see what is next for this family.
Sophia and Marshall are certainly complex characters. Sophia has been in a terrible foster home situation for the last 5 years. Having finally escaped, she is looking forward to starting a new life somewhere-anywhere really, that is far away from her foster home. After stumbling upon Ridge Valley and finding out that the local motel has no other rooms for the night, she happens to hear about the Wild Thorn Ranch which is still closed for the season. In desperate need for a place to lay her head for a night, she decides to take the risk and stay in one of the cabins. What she could have never expected is what she would end up finding the next morning when the sun rose.
Marshall is not into relationships. He is quite content at having flings here and there and letting that be it due to his ownership of the ranch. Imagine his surprise when one morning he discovers that there is a squatter in one of the cabins on his ranch. Not only is this girl there illegally, but she has met his sister and could be working for his Aunt soon. This could spell trouble for him because not only is she now building a friendship with his sister, but she is gorgeous too-and much too young for him. As time goes on however, there is something about this "Little Felon" that he just can't seem to stay away from.
This story is faced paced and very easy to read. There were many points where I wanted to throw the kindle-most of them coming from Marhsall's behavior and his inability to realize what he had in front of him. If you really love a brooding MC, this is your guy. He certainly isn't one to rush into admitting his feelings but his actions will tell you everything you need to know. It is also really fun to read the banter between Sophia and Marshall. Sophia is not one to keep her sass in check or back down when she doesn't quite get her way which leads to some really interest situations both characters find themselves in. Both characters know how to push each other to the limits which leads to some explosive and spicy scenes that leave you certainly wanting more.
It was also really nice to see Sophia grow and discover missing pieces of her that she hasn't had for a very long time. She may not have had the best teen years, but she certainly is learning with the Wilder family to trust again and that not all people are bad and have ulterior motives. It was nice to see her mold herself into a family that, besides Marshall in the beginning, have welcomed her with open arms.
This was a fantastic read and I can't wait to see what happens next with this family when the twin's story comes out- something tells me it is going to be just as fast paced and spicy as this one- and hopefully we get to see more of Marshall and Sophia.
Sophia and Marshall are certainly complex characters. Sophia has been in a terrible foster home situation for the last 5 years. Having finally escaped, she is looking forward to starting a new life somewhere-anywhere really, that is far away from her foster home. After stumbling upon Ridge Valley and finding out that the local motel has no other rooms for the night, she happens to hear about the Wild Thorn Ranch which is still closed for the season. In desperate need for a place to lay her head for a night, she decides to take the risk and stay in one of the cabins. What she could have never expected is what she would end up finding the next morning when the sun rose.
Marshall is not into relationships. He is quite content at having flings here and there and letting that be it due to his ownership of the ranch. Imagine his surprise when one morning he discovers that there is a squatter in one of the cabins on his ranch. Not only is this girl there illegally, but she has met his sister and could be working for his Aunt soon. This could spell trouble for him because not only is she now building a friendship with his sister, but she is gorgeous too-and much too young for him. As time goes on however, there is something about this "Little Felon" that he just can't seem to stay away from.
This story is faced paced and very easy to read. There were many points where I wanted to throw the kindle-most of them coming from Marhsall's behavior and his inability to realize what he had in front of him. If you really love a brooding MC, this is your guy. He certainly isn't one to rush into admitting his feelings but his actions will tell you everything you need to know. It is also really fun to read the banter between Sophia and Marshall. Sophia is not one to keep her sass in check or back down when she doesn't quite get her way which leads to some really interest situations both characters find themselves in. Both characters know how to push each other to the limits which leads to some explosive and spicy scenes that leave you certainly wanting more.
It was also really nice to see Sophia grow and discover missing pieces of her that she hasn't had for a very long time. She may not have had the best teen years, but she certainly is learning with the Wilder family to trust again and that not all people are bad and have ulterior motives. Marshall and Sophia, what can I say? They are fire together! Their story almost burned my Kindle up. Their relationship is like a chemical explosion that burns out of control. Sophia is a foster child on the verge of aging out of the system when we meet her in the story. She has been living with an abusive man for five years and he threatened to sexually assault her when she turns eighteen, so she ran away the day before she turned eighteen. She ended up in the small town of Ridge Valley and meets the Wilder family. She ends up being best friends with Hadley, the only daughter, and gets a job working for Marshall’s aunt. Marshall is the grumpy oldest son of a rancher family and has many responsibilities running the ranch. Marshall, Hadley and Sophia meet at the same time, and it is instalove between Marshall and Sophia and besties between Hadley and Sophia.
The story was a short, fun read, just like the relationship between Marshall and Hadley. It didn’t take them long to go from strangers to lovers to more. There is lots of spice sprinkled throughout the story as they can’t keep their hands off each other. I thought the plot was going to be predictable, but it wasn’t. Having read all of Alisha's books I was a little surprised when I read the tropes and blurb as it is very different from her usual style. I hadn't, to my knowledge, read Cassie before so I presumed this would be her style instead. Let me tell you if this is how Cassie usually writes then she has a new big fan! Usually I don't read contemporary MF much as I tend to get bored but Marshall had me gripped from the start.
I loved the grumpy Marshall and understood why he responded to Sophia as he did in the first place, having his POV made it a much more enjoyable read as you could understand his motivation and when he finally lets Sophia in the firework display could rival Disneyland. I do wonder whether I could order me a dirty mouthed Marshall on prime but can't seem to find it on sale, if anyone does hit me up.

It's interesting how high the rating is on this book. (Spoilers ahead)
So, here are my problems:
The book was cringey, the writing wasn't too bad but still cringey. The characters were definitely cringey and the way they acted was oftentimes childish (even the actual adults and not just Sophia who is definitely still a teen).
The girl was 18 and the man was a whole adult at 30 which I personally find very unsettling (I wish authors would stop matching barely 18-19 year olds with 30 year olds, it's creepy).
The whole "making each other jealous" thing was overdone and childish.
The branding. It could have been hot, say in like a dark romance, but with everything else in this book I didn't like it.
The fact that she was not on birth control, lied about it and then got pregnant was a huge red flag. Which shouldn't surprise me since she is basically a child who just got some legal rights, like, yesterday. Also, not to mention the 30 year old man not using condoms.
Can you tell I don't like reading about 18 year old FMCs? I'd prefer to read about actual adults, y'all. Anyways, that's my problem though. If any of this is your cup of tea that's cool. But this was a pain to read for me and made me uncomfortable quite a bit lol. I didn't DNF it because it was short and I didn't have it in me to quit.

If these are your tropes, and you don't mind the almost insta-love-ish vibe, this is definitely the book for you. While there's a storyline, it's mainly focused on the tropes. I found the siblings interesting side characters, especially because the MCs are exhibitionists in their impatience, and their family farm is their playground.

They saw a lot.
Anyway, the story is a quick read, and I was glad they got together at the end. I didn't like a few elements, though. For one thing, I absolutely despise when one character uses other people just to make the person they're supposedly interested in jealous. Also, he fucking branded her p*ssy without warning her during sex. Like an actual brand with his initials, and then says he tended to it for a week as after care. This is just after they had separated bc he couldn't simply call her his girlfriend when he treated her like one. Now he wants to permanently brand her with no warning and without them even discussing the separation? That's a big no fucking thank you for me.

Hot/Sexy/Daddy/Banter
Well this book was HOT and funny with perfect amount of plot it was chef kiss and what I needed.
We get to know Sophia and she is running for a new life and boy did she find it oh she did.
Sophia is funny she know what she wants and she is not scare to get it or go for it. I really like she was so natural and spontaneous. She was so bad @$$ nobody can touch her man. I love her. Her friendship with Hadley was top notch.
The twins were so funny all of the bothers were funny I can't wait to read about them.
The story was so complet that I was happy and satisfied by the end. It had the perfect amount of spice/plot/problems and all of it came full circle at the end it was really good. The side character were perfectly writen and you want to now more about them.
There is a scene that was extra extra hot and unexpected but wow got me worry but at the same time hot and bothered.

I really enjoyed this cowboy romance; Sophia may be young but she knows what she wants and that is definitely Marshall! This is a medium to fast burn very spicy age gap romance with some humour added in along the way. Sophia and Marshall bring out the best and worst in each other with their stubbornness but when they get on the same page the chemistry is off the charts!
Little Felon is my new favourite nickname and I cracked up every time Marshall's siblings caught them. The twins were hilarious and Hadley is such a sweetheart! This was a great introduction to the series; I definitely can't wait to read more about these characters.
My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series

Another absolutely phenomenal book by Alisha. This is my first by Cassie and will definitely be looking into more of her books. This new cowrite series is definitely my new favorite. Alisha is definitely one of those authors who can write multiple genres and still amaze you with her ability to create a story and characters that absolutely wow you.
I fell hard for the broody and often infuriating tatted rancher Marshall hard. His and Sophia’s story was absolutely perfect and they were a couple made for each other. They have a chemistry and connection that is instant and insanely intense. This was full of hot spontaneous moments, suspense, laughs, and so much more.
They got their happy ending and I’m definitely looking forward to Wyatt and Weston’s story which the next book in this series. Definitely a must read and I highly recommend it.

Typically, I stay away from them because I simply don’t like how short they are- I was not aware this was a novella until a few chapters in- so besides the story having to be very rushed- it was a great read! PLENTY of spice & a badass FMC! MMC is totally touch her & die vibes. I also really enjoyed the side characters.
At first when I learned that Sophia(FMC) met Marshall the day before her 18th birthday - I wasn’t sure if I could read a book with a barely legal FMC & Marshall was 30. So they were 12 years apart! Had I known that I probably would have skipped it- but I forged on& just shoved it out to my mind.
If you’re looking for a spicy …ranch vibes & age gap read this is for you!

Marshall is the oldest sibling in the Wilder family and the general manager of Wild Theon Ranch, which his family owns. He is a grump and we learn very quickly that he is stubborn.
The first time Marshall and Sophia meet, she is the shower of the cabin she broke in and stayed the night in. They are instantly attracted to each other but fight it.
I love that Sophia is the one who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to make it known while Marshall continues to be an alphahole and be stubborn.
The Wilder siblings are hilarious and I absolutely enjoyed their banter and the way the antagonize Sophia and Marshall.

Marshall is the oldest sibling in the Wilder family and the general manager of Wild Theon Ranch, which his family owns. He is a grump and we learn very quickly that he is stubborn.
The first time Marshall and Sophia meet, she is the shower of the cabin she broke in and stayed the night in. They are instantly attracted to each other but fight it.
I love that Sophia is the one who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to make it known while Marshall continues to be an alphahole and be stubborn.
The Wilder siblings are hilarious and I absolutely enjoyed their banter and the way the antagonize Sophia and Marshall.
