Reporter Becca (h22) keeps getting assigned fluff stories by her boss but continues her investigation into a crime lord on her own time. Hit man Knox (H35) has been assigned to take Becca out by his boss but instead he’s become obsessed with her an realizes he can’t let anything happen to her. Know tries to warn her off but when she’ sin danger, he’ll step up and take care of the woman he’s been secretly stalking. Short, age gap, hot steamy stalker quickie with a side of danger.

Not the Job Description

3.5 stars - Knox and Becca have an over-the-top story. He's obsessed and distracted from his job. She's... not taking the situation she's in serious enough. That part did not sit too well with me.

Becca: "Why didn't you kill me!"

Knox: "Fuck, woman." And my hand shoots out, and I grab the bun over her head. "Because I’m fucking obsessed . Because you’ve been plaguing my every waking thought, and you’ve walked in every dream of mine since I put my eyes on you. I can’t get you out of my fucking mind, and it’s destroying me."

I'm a little confused at when their first time was, but it was an enjoyable read.

BECCA & KNOX

She’s a strong woman searching for the truth, recording it even in the face of death threats. He’s a huge hit man sent to kill her. They were always meant for each other as they soon discover. He starts protecting her almost immediately instead of stalking her to kill her. His obsession grows and grows. There’s humor and gravity, mystery and danger, and of course, a really great HEA… and how he’s able to continue his obsessive protection while she still fights for truth making enemies right and left, hilarious. He’s so bad and has a funny way of excusing his reasoning in the matter. Because if she never gets kidnapped or hurt again, he’s okay with that. Great characters and storyline. Unusually unhinged. Love it!

The bad boy always wins!!! This is about Knox and Becca. Everyone knows you are not supposed to mess with the Mafia, but Becca is determined to bring them down. She is now the target, and Knox has a tough job because it only takes one look to be hypnotized. Becca realizes that Knox is breaking into her apartment to leave her breakfast, but Knox tells her to back off when he receives the order to bring her head on a platter. Well, one mistake, and it could all end for both Knox and Becca because the Mafia is not going to wait forever!.

This is book 21 of Forbidden Curves and as always Erin knocks it out of the park. I loved Knox and Becca. Becca is a news reporter and started getting into something to find the truth, but the mobsters want her killed well one at least. Knox is an assassin and is hired to kills her but he couldn't because he knew she was his. He took her and had to find a way to keep her alive and get to love him. So much going on that you are not able to put it down till the end. I loved it and you are going to love it especially the ending.

Becca is a journalist who is trying to be successful as a crime journalist. She has been investigating a man Romano who she believes is a mafia boss. He gets accused of crimes but nothing ever seems to come to court. What Becca doesn't know is Romano has sent his assassin after her. Knox is considered one of the best at his job but in his investigating of Becca, he has become obsessed with her. He doesn't want to kill her but keep her for his own. Becca won't take any warnings to back off so what is he going to do?.

This was a short and spicy dark romance. Knox is not a good guy- he’s an assassin for a psychotic mobster. His love and obsession for Becca doesn’t completely turn him “good.” If that isn’t your thing, you won’t enjoy this. The chemistry between Knox and Becca is off the charts, and I devoured this novella. My only complaint is that Becca’s revelation that she was a virgin seemed random and unimportant. It was kind of jarring the way it was added, and it took me out of the story in the middle of a super spicy scene. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the series.

This short story is an older man/-younget woman one which features a heri who is in no way good because of the life he leads, he is a hit man for a nasty monster. It's when he's sent to kill Becca that things change for him, she becomes his obsession and no one, not even his boss will stand in his way. Becca is a reporter who is determined to expose Knox's boss no matter what. The chemistry and connection between them was strong and their story flowed nicely to their HEA.

He is tasked with getting rid of her, but he sees Becca and is instantly obsessed with his target. He stalked her and kept her safe. When they finally meet in person sparks fly and they fall hard and fast for each other l, but the the mafia boss still wants her head.... Is there a HEA for the assassin & his target?

Another fantastic read by Erin Havoc. Knox is an assassin that works for a mafia boss. Becca is a reporter that has no hesitation revealing the ugliness of a dark mafia boss. Knox has been sent to eliminate Becca but will he go through with it? She has captured his attention.
Absolutely loved reading this short, steamy, age gap dark romance.

This series has been so wonderful to read! They are standalones and each one is incredible in its own right. This book focuses on journalist, Becca and hitman, Knox.
I enjoyed read this book! There were some twists that made sense to the storyline. The epilogue was perfect for them! I would definitely recommend this book!!!.

This was another fun addition to the series and I loved how OTT assassin Knox was for journalist Becca. Becca, on the story of a life time to bring down a mafia leader (Knox's boss), crosses paths with Knox and the sparks started to fly ;) Ordered to kill Becca, Knox starts trying to warn her away from her story all while taking care of her. This was a fun fast read between opposites and I was thrilled they got their HEA ;D

When Becca locks eyes with a man who has beautiful blue eyes, her life takes a turn for the worse, and for the better. This quick read has action, romance, and steam ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

Becca is a journalist and Knox is a hired assassin who was sent to take her out. One problem Knox is falling for his target. I loved how Knox becomes completely obsessed with Becca and now he becomes ott protective of her. This is an age gap, steamy romance with great characters that have off the charts hot chemistry and a perfect ending. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I am not used to dark reads by Erin Havoc and I was a bit concerned but it was well done. It is short but i didn't feel that i was gypped out of anything because it was rushed. It had a good flow, and the characters were believable. Who doesn't love a little bit of crazy chaos in their romance. Especially when it comes with the amount of spice packed in to this book. another great read

The author has given us a heart pounding older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Knox and Becca. The story keeps us turning the pages with stalking, obsession, danger, action and steam.
