Anything out of ordinary brings joy. We can bring joy by doing our best finding it for ourselves first befitting trying to spread it. Small things like wearing colour you like will lift your spirits. Move as much as you can, jump with arms up, sing and dance.

If something doesn’t make you happy you should stop doing it, it’s about honesty with yourself instead of “trying to be happy”. Realising the inner child within us wants to play and we should allow it. We should strive to do what makes us happy even if it’s not accepted bu society at the age we are in.

An uplifting read but not sure I'll be jumping or singing in public anytime soon 😂

Very light and easy to read - I thought it was ok but found it only skimmed the surface and wasn’t as profound as I had expected.

This book feels like a reliable friend, the kind that always knows how to brighten your mood. Gabi Roslin has a gift for creating something that’s both deeply encouraging and wonderfully simple. It doesn’t preach; it just feels like a warm, understanding chat.

A huge part of its charm comes from its colourful pages. They aren't just decorations; they are pure joy. Every bright colour and cheerful design feels intentional, adding a visual happiness that matches the uplifting words. It makes the whole experience feel light and positive.

More than anything, this is a book you reach for. Whether you need a quick smile or a gentle reminder of the good things, it delivers every time. It’s a truly heartwarming and positive little treasure that makes any day feel a bit more jolly.

Roslin’s book is a curated collection of simple, uplifting practices designed to infuse everyday life with positivity.
Think gratitude rituals, kindness challenges and mindful moments, all delivered with warmth and enthusiasm.
It’s not preachy; it’s practical.
Like a pep talk from your best friend.
Perfect for a Sunday reset or a midweek mood boost.
Although I found some of the concepts a bit silly it was a an uplifting read.

Unusually for me, I listened to this as an audiobook (read by Gaby). It was like listening to a cheerful friend, easy going & just a gentle reminder to smile, be kind, have fun, find & share joy. I have found myself singing more, wearing brightly coloured scarves & jumping off the bottom stair at work just to make myself chuckle 😄

Tough read. Very surface level stuff. Nothing deep, insightful or profound, but a nice sentiment. The story about everyone bursting out into a flash mob on the tube and singing Bon Jovi seemed extremely far fetch. I’d be very surprised if that actually happened.
I imagine though that I’m not the target audience as a 25 year old man.

A cute little book in which most people could probably find at least one thing to take away with them. Sometimes we just need little reminders in life.

It was a pretty good book.

The main things I took away from this, is to smile, and jump! oh and to also wear colours.

Nice graphics, pretty pages, ok to dip into but lacking substance, one of many of its kind, no revelatory deep insights.

Spread The Joy by Gaby Roslin is a genuinely wonderful guide as to what it means to be happy! Hearing one of my favourite television presenters and my Pollyanna influencer, Ms Roslin, write a book made me smile ear to ear, and reading her words brought more joy than I initially registered!

To summarise, this book guides readers into understanding the joys of life and how to obtain it. Whether it's at home, at work, or on a simple outdoor stroll, it's packed with heart-warming stories, charming illustrations, hilarious anecdotes, practical tips and inspired tricks; this guided journal shows readers how they can discover life's simple pleasures and learn the invaluable gift of spreading joy to others.

The demarcation of the chapters was used to its advantage, and the colouring of the pages helped the writing stand out. So, if you're ever feeling down in the dumps and want to learn how to turn that frown upside-down, this is for you.
