When Lei, an introverted homebody, invites her girls over for a spa day, she isn’t expecting their conversation to shift to men in prison. As an advocate for rehabilitated people receiving the love, companionship, and support those who haven’t committed crimes receive, Lei doesn’t hesitate to put her money where her mouth is and bet that she can find a good friend or great love with someone through the pen pal program her father created.

As confident as Lei is, there are a few conflicts that can arise, the first of which being her career as a defense attorney. Still, Lei sets out to find her friend and win the bet, but when she stumbles across Londen’s profile… she quickly realizes there might be a chance for her bruised heart to find love too.

Londen Graham has never allowed anything to stop him from having his way—and that includes being in prison. Nearing the end of his sentence, Londen already knows exactly how he’s going to live this second phase of his life. What he doesn’t expect is to fall in love with a woman through the pen pal program. A woman who just so happens to be connected to his past in a way that can ruin their friendship and chance to have love in the future.

What starts out as fun and friendship quickly becomes more for Lei when Londen spoils her from behind bars in a way that no free man ever has. With a secret that can destroy not just their budding romance but Lei’s relationship with her family, Londen sets out to make things right as soon as he’s free. Will he be able to prove he’s still the man who secured her heart with his words, or will all they share be memories and his love letters from Memphis?

Where do I sign up?!?!!!! If you read the book then you know exactly what I’m talking about and if you haven’t then get to reading!!!

Love Letters From Memphis is EASILY a top contender for one of the best books I’ve read in 2023!! From page one I was sucked in and the one two plot twist combos kept coming from that moment forward!

There’s nothing I enjoy more than a new storyline and there were some firsts in this book that I absolutely enjoyed as a reader! Let me just tell y’all, Londen was NOTHING to play with. All these other men y’all be adding to the book bae list need to step aside (except Lake Porter 🤭) because he’s claimed the top spot!!! I’m talking PRESSURE 😮‍💨🥵!!! If he can do what he did in his current situation 🗣️THERE’S NO EXCUSE FOR THE REST OF YOU MFS

I’m not going to even lie B Love shocked the hêll out of me with this one! Who knew she had this stored in that nogin of hers 😩 If you do nothing else in life 🗣️READ THIS BOOK!!!!! The drama, the betrayal, the love and the brotherhood was all 👩🏽‍🍳 💋 Despite there being a “cliffhanger” and by cliffhanger I mean questions left unanswered, you’re not left with a spiked blood pressure! I can’t wait for book 2!

Can you find love with a man who’s lock up? Lei is given the challenge of finding friendship or love through the Prison Pen Pal Program and she reluctantly accepts. What started out as a bet among friends turns into Lei, unexpectedly, finding the love of her life who just so happens to be serving 25 years to life for murder. Whew chile! When Lei initially agreed to take part in the bet, she was strictly looking for friendship only. Still nursing a broken heart from 10 years earlier, love is no longer an option for Lei or, so, she thought. Londen pulled up and said, “Hold my beer.” He more than proved he was worthy of the Prison Bae title. The chemistry between these characters before they even laid eyes on one another was mind blowing. Their letters to each other were so romantic and swoon worthy. I was really over here grinnin’ like a fool every time I read one. The way they expressed their wants, needs, and desires was just so freakin’ sexy. Being behind bars didn’t stop Londen from showing Lei he was not only a man of action but, a man of power and status as well. The way he catered to her and wined and dined her from his cell was beyond impressive. Hell, he was doing more for Lei locked up than most men do who are able to move around freely.

What I really loved about this book is, the author kind of gives you two storylines in one. The drama that unfolds in the beginning is, oh so, juicy. Chiiiiiile, the betrayal that goes down will blow your mind. All kinds of skeletons came tumblin' out of the closet so, just gon’ and grab your wine and popcorn cause it gets good and messy. Love Letters from Memphis was a surprisingly good read. I loved the characters and how they were able to find love through unusual circumstances. This book will have you ready to sign up for the pen pal program lookin’ for your own prison bae. Not me though. I tend to like my men on the outside of the prison walls. LOL! 🤣🤣🤣 I look forward to seeing the love connections between Mercedes, Noah, Infinity, and Cade. I just hope the author doesn’t end each book with “cliffhangers” like she did with this one. There was way too much left unresolved.

Lei x Londen

The drama didn't even wait for me to get comfortable before it popped off. The twists and turns started unraveling like a thread in a sweater getting pulled. Lei's life as she knew it had completely turned upside down. So Lei decided a fresh start in a new city was what's best.
Londen was soo smooth. Even behind bars, this man proved that he had all the power. A friendly and expensive bet led to Londen and Lei meeting one another through a pen pal program. This man pursued Lei as if he wasn’t incarcerated. He wined, dined, and sixty-nined her all while behind bars. He was impressive. But, the secrets and backstabbing followed Lei to Rose Valley. Although I didn't necessarily love this book, I did enjoy the story and was pleasantly surprised B. Love brought me this story.

No One Asked, but Londen is mine.

I loved this story so much! Rose Valley Hills is a new city and set of characters that already have me chomping at the bits for the next release. This story focuses on Londen and Lei's love story. In the beginning, the author provides background details regarding Lei. The details include a family secret and a heartbreak. Fast forward ten years, and Lei is an accomplished defense attorney with a family that would do anything for her. An unorthodox bet with her friends leads to Lei creating an account for a pen-pal program where she eventually meets three gentlemen to befriend.

I loved the trope for this book. And I love characters that exude power and boss status, but for the right woman, he is weak. The description is who Londen is in the story. I love everything about that man; hands down, Londen is one of my favorite male characters penned by B. Love. The chemistry between Londen and Lei was well-written and detailed. The love letters had me squealing and smiling so hard! When the time came for the two to have their sexual encounter, it was well worth the wait. Londen is the man Lei needs. He is well respected, a natural giver, a protector, and wants all the smoke. I cannot express enough how much I loved him.

I thought the book flow was pretty good; I was not expecting the different plot twists. I liked the focus on romance and intimacy, strong family bonds, and friendships. There is 'one' friend that causes drama in the story. Jealousy and envy almost wreaked havoc on Londen and Lei, but they prevailed. Love Letters from Memphis is only the beginning; I am eager to see what is next.

Letters to Love

This book was all over the place for me. Although it was full of drama it still moved slow to me because the drama wasn't purposeful. It opens up with the family drama. Then 10 yrs pass and it wasn't felt.
Lei then decides to participate in a program that writes to inmates. Her standout match is Londen and she is hesitant to truly go all in. Londen showers her with lots of sweet things and Love letters. The love letters were giving elementary to me. I couldn't feel their connection. The first half of the book had a better feel than the second half, it felt disjointed. There was a lot of drama that felt like wasted time. Did the daddy really need to tell that whole damn story?? Did we really need the Regal situation at the end? The unresolved mess of his past ...like why? I wish they would have spent more time developing a connection between Lei and Londen.
I also didn't care for the third person writing. I'm sure others will love this story, it just wasn't for me.

Right from the bat, B. Love hooked me with the shocking revelations of Royalty/Lei family's betrayal and scandal. After then, more and more surprises began to unfold, and I just wasn't prepared for them. Due to a heartbreak and a revelations, Lei/Royalty requires a new beginning in Rose Valley Hills. Years later, on a bet, Lei enters a prison pen buddy program, where she meets Londen. Just know that if Londen was making advances in prison like that, the bar must be just next to paradise. As Lei and Londen's love develops for one another, we get to see it unfold. Londen was my favorite character in this novel. I admired how kind and protective he is. He's simply a genuine individual. The ending was abrupt, and it raised more questions than it answered. The Felicia scenario seems unnecessary to me, but we'll have to see how it develops. I’ll be waiting to read Noah’s book next

I think London is now my new book bae. The way B. Love described him, whew!😍I loved the details in this story and the storyline. It’s well written and the love letters were so cute. London was not playing when it came to Lei. When the two met there was an instant connection. He was a true boss even behind the walls. There was just enough drama, romance and sex and I can’t wait to read about the rest of the characters especially Yandi and Tussi. Y’all better read this!!!

I loved Lei and Londen. The bombs that are dropped in the beginning of this book is crazy; how the whole “family” triflin. Lei, Mercedes, and Yandi join a prison bae program to talk to inmates. Londen was just to supposed to stop Lei from contacting anyone but they end up falling for each other. Mercedes falls for Noah Londens crazy brother. Yandi triflin ass don’t want nobody happy. The bomb dropped at the end; I need book 2 ASAP.

Whew! The snakes were abundant in this thang here! I wondered what was up with Jennifer, and why she was treating Royalty like ish! Then Regal's secret comes out, and I'm like awww hell, it's on now! 😂 Who does that to their sister? 🤬 Then when Jennifer hit Royalty with THAT revelation, it blew my mind to shreds!!🤯 What?? Who are these people??
Lei (aka Royalty) was able to physically move on and begin anew; while making strides to remove and/or forget the trauma she endured! She was being loved on by her family and had good friends surrounding her. Or so she thought. That damn Yandy was smelling foul from the beginning! But Lei's big heart would not allow her to see through Yandy's smoke screen! I loved how the other ladies in their friend group looked out for Lei, as they knew that Yandy was always on the prowl!
Londen! This man was the epitome of loyalty! He ate those years knowing full well, he was not guilty of the crime for which he was accused! When he was tasked with looking out for Lei, everything changed for the better! This man had a way with words, and was THE man, even behind the wall! The way he catered to Lei was swoon worthy! Neither he nor Lei were looking for anything serious, but feelings became real swiftly.
Now Yandy and Tussi are a recipe for disaster! Both just jealous, professional haters who think that all the good things in life should be given to them just because! I cannot believe they tried to pull off that stunt and I'm anxious to see how they are handled!
Then the bombs continue to drop! Bye Felicia! 😂 You thought you could pull something like this on Londen, and he not retaliate? Ma'am you betta hold on tight, because I am certain Londen's bout to take you on a hell of a ride! Then that call from Mercedes with news that has Londen on edge about his future! There is so much happening, so many things at stake and lives that can possibly be in jeopardy! Love the start of this series and can't wait to see where it takes us! Great job! 👍👍👍

The concept behind this book is so unique. I was immediately hooked. Royalty/Lei discovers that her fiance slept with her "sister" and got her pregnant AND discovers that her "mom" is not her birth mom AND her "dad" is not her birth dad. AND sis was not adopted. 📣📣 D R A M A. Homegirl goes thru it. Picture a tornado forming right on top of her life and tosses everything around. When the storm breaks, sis aint in Kansas anymore. She living in a different city surrounded by her blood relatives, new friends, more money than she can spend, and access to power. Only thing is her heart is closed to love but can you blame her? Nope. I get it. Enter London. He's everything she didn't know she needed. They meet and despite her objections they fall hard and fast.

What makes this book great are the different plot lines and arcs that fill the story out and make it so so juicy. Can't wait to dig into the rest of the series.

lei & Londen

B. Love knows how to pen a book ! From page 1 to page 330 I was invested! Lei thought her life was going in one direction for one reason when in reality nothing is what it seemed to be. In Love Letters From Memphis Lei learns that she is worthy of the same love she provides. Londen was Mr. Right ! He had the right amount of gangsta and gentleman in him and I loved every bit of it.

Love letters from him...

The story was different in a good way. Again a few of the characters served their purpose of annoying me endlessly. The idea for the story was interesting, along with the platform. A prison ministry deal was the snappy part. The Lil trust issues made the story pop. I liked both leading characters, and the outcome was kind of expected. Why was the 9-year-old introduced? And a few dates puzzled me. But..... Overall, I liked this story.

LOVED THIS

I enjoyed this story and the prison bae concept. Royalty/Lei was hit with betrayal from family and then learned a secret about her life after so many years of believing one thing. I liked the way her and Landen met, how genuine he was with her, and the progression of their relationship. Yandi and Tussi were something else and got off too easy. Im glad Lei and Landon didn't let anyone stop what they had going on. I like how this book ended and can't wait to read what happens next in this series.

I devoured this book so quick! I never wanted to put it down. It damn near had me staying up until 4 am trying to finish it, but I knew I wanted to savor it. 😂 as much as I could anyway.

I was so disappointed when I realized it wasn’t a part of a series. Buut Ms. Love has a wide catalogue so let’s see hay else I can get into.

I really enjoyed this book. Lei just kept getting blow after blow. I wanted her to win because she had been through so much. Londen was exactly what Leo needed. Even though she had been through a lot she was very naive when it came to trusting people. Londen came in and loved her correctly and tried to heal all her broken parts. Now I’m invested and starting book 2.

It’s the drama, the betrayal, the love story, the prison pen pal all in one. Lei was hurt by almost every man that entered her life. London being that man in prison really was chef’s kiss. Looks like they signed up with the king pins!! That mfn tussie and yoni get exactly what they deserve.

Showdown & or Meltdown in Memphis

Oh my my my😬🤦🏾‍♀️! Where do I begin…Hmmm 😮‍💨, “Love Letters From Memphis (Ode to Memphis - Book 1) was a great read. However, without divulging and or ruining the book’s contents/plot (for others), Jennifer, Marcus, Royalty & Regal’s story is a novella in itself at minimum, if not an entire standalone novel. UNBELIEVABLE! Jennifer and late Marcus (still committed federal crimes. The victim (s) don’t/doesn’t have to file a complaint for warrants to be issued.; Jennifer was the lone survivor in their kidnapping scheme, but that name is an alias. What are the repercussions for her fraud?) …shocked & horrified by the dynamics of this functionally dysfunctional family. …I’m sure whatever year this storyline took place, there were “milk cartons”! What purpose does the FBI serve 🤨⁉️Thereafter, I applaud authors’ ability to expound their imaginations to take readers on a journey into the realms of their fictional world. …But in what universe does an inmate have the liberties to take his conjugal visits on a road trip (four hours too). …but prison visitations are conducted virtually. WHAT⁉️Some the events in this book were just outlandish. Nonetheless, I was entertained by this prison’s (never named) pen pal system but another liberty unmonitored🤦🏾‍♀️. Meanwhile, I like the idea of Lei & Londen, but with the threat of this “secret society” ruminating there’s no HEA in the near future for Londen and or Lei. …showdown & or meltdown in Memphis ..time will tell😬🤨🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️‼️

5 STAR FREAKING READ...HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ AND the spice was def enough 🔥🔥🔥
OH MY GOSH I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE REST OF THIS SERIES!!!! FOR NOW HERE ARE SOME THINGS I LOVED ABOUT THE BOOK:

Londen is Bae...case closed...

My girl Lei was going through it...like we were only 8 chapters in and shit just got worst and worst

Again Londen...he was just..ugh, like if females talk about riding for a man doing a bid...this the type of man she want

when she made that connection with Londen through the program and the letters you could really seeing her start to mend her heart and her relationships with her bio fam.

Yandi can catch a Fade, on sight...lil gold digging heifer was irking me. (When she got her ass handed to her by Jack)

Mercedes and Infinity real ones.

Again Londen fine scrumptious self....

The plot twist at the end bro...I ain't even see that coming.

Noah coming home!!!! oh shit!!!

I loved how Lei was able to reason through her situations, and not overreact like some characters do in books. She took a beat though that ish through...went over the logistics on her though process and the process of others...always discussing issues with them to figure out a situation and then making a sound and mature decision...We love to see a strong Mature FMC

and final thing if you haven't figured it out Londen🤣

My reaction when I saw the first few sentences in the first paragraph: “who tf are these people??!” Lol when I saw the names, I thought the synopsis was incorrect. I kept reading though, and it worked itself out.

The preface stated, “…this is a dual point of view book…” buuuut it’s not. It’s majority dual POV but there were 5 POVs — two were for only a chapter each and another one was for like two chapters. Those three POVs didn’t really add anything to the story for me. Like I understand Yandi was included to reveal some things but each time a POV that wasn’t Londen or Lei appeared, I was like “😒”.

Londen and Lei had me smiling hard nshit. In the beginning of them talking, I was so confused about their relationship. Lei kept saying “friendship” but Londen was spoiling her with gifts and they kissed but I finally figured things out.

Londen is very much a book bae/boyfriend. I liked that he was written as a well-rounded character. Like yeah he’s emotionally intelligent and affectionate but he’ll also fuck some shit up if needed. (Speaking of, that car conversation after the casino…ok Londen 🫦😂😂)

I’ll be checking out the other books in this series.

“Some loves are meant to last a lifetime, while others are meant to teach us lessons that last just as long.”

B. Love delivers a beautifully poetic and deeply emotional journey in Love Letters from Memphis, weaving a story that feels both timeless and raw. The novel does a powerful job of showing how some people aren’t meant to stay in our lives forever, no matter how much we want them to. Through the main characters’ love and loss, and even Yandi’s friendship, the book highlights the importance of accepting people as they are, rather than who we wish they could be. The lyrical writing and raw emotions make this story feel like a love letter itself—one filled with passion, heartbreak, and hard-earned wisdom.

While the romance and friendships were compelling, there were moments when the pacing felt uneven, and certain conflicts could have been explored more deeply. Still, the way B. Love captures the beauty and pain of love, friendship, and self-growth makes this a memorable read. If you enjoy romance that feels real and reflective, this one is worth picking up.

Once the drama started it really didn’t stop .. it seem like it got went from worse to worser 🫠. It just went downhill and DIDNT stop. Lei life really took a turn and sis couldn’t catch a break. Sis life changed in the matter of days and her shutting the world out finding out your WHOLE life was a lie made sense. Lei was too forgiving for me Jennifer wouldn’t even be able to walk on the same side of the street as me 🤷🏾‍♀️… She would literally me dead to me but that’s just me. Like it’s NOTHING for us to discuss.
I wish we got to see more of how she navigated before the 10 year jump but it as done that way to set the scene with Londen… That man is the definition if he could than he WOULD. He applied all the right amount of pressure even when he felt Lei pulling back. Even locked up that didn’t stop h8m from being a boss. He was getting it done from that jail cell lol and I ain’t mad at it. Lei thought she left the drama in Memphis and it followed her Rose Valley chile. I already know Yandi and Tussi bout to start some sht 😒 … let me head to book ✌🏾..
