Becoming His Slave

Rate this book
BDSM & D/s / MF / Erotic Romance / Some MM & FF~ explicit language

As a writer, Katianna hovers at the alluring edge of bringing what she creates with exquisite eroticism into her very concealed life. Her books seduce her readers with stories taking them into extremes of erotic pleasure that have never been her own experience. That is until one night unbeknownst to herself, she confessed a secret desire she’d kept under lock and key to Trenton Leos, who’s now intent to bring her into his world of Dominance and Submission where he’s not just any Dom, he’s the Dominus. The Master of all Doms.

Life with the Dominus promises to surround her with rich, somatic passions, but it also comes with danger, and she’s not sure she’s strong enough to hang on. Especially when being with him means submitting her life to Becoming His Slave.

Credit and Special thanks for the editing endeavor goes to Alison Greene, Lee Brazil, Havan Fellows, Sara York and Laura Harner.

Both Proud Indy Authors: Talon P.S. and his twin, Tarian P.S. love to torment their editor with a nefarious world of foreign-lang, slang, local dialect, stretched/outside-of-the-box synonyms, as well as having been known to throw in some con-lang at times. This, of course, is all thrown in there with the dyslexia soup stock they both suffer from that makes editing with them a joy {joy: n see mental illness}.
However, the final products comes out as richly detailed holographic worlds of Gay/MM Erotic Romance; Paranormal, Sci-fi, and War time Romances; and along with Tal's favorite Space Sci-Fi Frontiers and Prin's favorite works of Post-Apocalyptic Dark Fantasies, all for readers to submerse themselves into and escape from the mundane.

One word describes this book for me...Phenomenal!

Becoming His Slave, is one man's quest at having the one thing he has always wanted, and one woman's chance to live a life she never thought she could. Trenton Leos, the lead character, the Dominus, is all power, brains and brawn...the total package. His story is one of long desires, and getting what one wants no matter how long the wait.

The story takes place in the BDSM community and surrounds itself around 5 brothers...Trenton, Diesel, Dane, Marcus and Harper. This book is Trenton's story and let me tell you, there is no lacking on getting to know the other brothers, either. Immediately, I fell for two of the characters...Trenton and Diesel. Both are strong, masculine men that just make a person feel safe, protected and even loved. This is made very apparent throughout this story in their dealings with other characters, large and small.

The setting of the book isn't something I was new to reading, and I found it written better than most of the others i've read. The struggles and trials these characters go through were well defined and clear. You could feel the terror coming from the heroine Katianna, every time she was terrified. You could sense Trenton's inner need to protect her, yet give her the space she needed. These two were destined to be together. And I found myself rooting for them the entire time.

The multitude of side characters added more to the rounding out of the primary characters and made for some interesting side stories as well. You got a real feel of the lives that Trenton and his brothers live and how each character fits into their world. And what a world it is!

This authors websites tells of more books to come; and I for one, can not wait to dive right back into this world Talon P.S has created. Its a phenomenal world with truly enjoyable characters!

I was quite looking forward to reading this one. Lots of rave reviews and a nice long book to counteract the plethora of novellas that seem to have come my way recently.

I must admit I struggled through the first 25% of the book. It picked up for me about 40% in, but then again I struggled to finish.

I kept getting distracted by the homophone errors that were consistently present throughout the book...
fiend/feigned
brake/break
passed/past
seem/seam
shuttered/shuddered
procured/produced (not exactly homophones, but rather incorrect word choice)

And then there were words thrown in like "cachinnation" that even though I knew the meaning just seemed out of place and jarring.

I must admit I found these errors/choices distracting and it may have contributed to my lack of connection to the story. I never felt pulled into the action. I felt a lot of telling rather than showing.

I'm glad I finally tackled this one. The story of Trenton and Katianna is the main focus and gets a bit drawn out and repetitive at times, but Katianna had issues that differed from the norm. She was not the typical female character you would expect in a story like this, which made it a bit easier to understand the situation. Trenton is like the leader of all doms. He is very alpha and extremely unbending when it comes to what he wants. This, coupled with the lack of communication and explanation is what caused 90% of their problems.

What truly made this book for me was the storyline with the "brother," Deisel, and the slave in training, Paris. Egads, what a match! These two are beyond hot, and I cannot wait to read more about them. Deisel finally met someone who can handle and match his needs, and I really hope they can make things work. I would have loved to see more of each of these guys, either together or separately, throughout this story.

This is a long story, but there is a lot going on. There are three other "brothers" involved, and I look forward to seeing more of their stories played out as well. There were a lot of editing/typographical errors, but I understand a revised version has just come out that addresses those issues. While a bit annoying at times, they weren't enough to take away from my enjoyment of the story, and I am definitely excited to read the next segment.

This book was a total car crash!

I really don't know where to start with all that was wrong with it, but I'll try:

800 pages people yes that is correct 800 pages, it was like reading 3 totally different books about different characters all mixed up together, this book could have just concentrated on Kat & Trenton & been 300 pages!

Using the words PUDENDUM & THECA in sex scenes are not sexy & are just wrong stop it!

Why we had a 4 year jump near the beginning was silly Trenton wanted to wait for Kat to stand on her own two feet, seriously 4 FUCKING YEARS!!!!

What on earth was Paris' part in all this I don't know I ended up skimming these pages as guess what? I wasn't interested in the slightest & don't get me started on the other 2 slaves he had.

And the piece de resistance after a gruelling 792 pages & a bad Bruce Willis style action scene (snakes head) it finished like this

TO BE CONTINUED!!!

What the ever loving fuck?

Needless to say book 2 can go forth & multiple!

DNF— this is a long book— over 700 pages on my kindle. I like the two Mc’s but this book skips to other characters Too often. I got to 50 percent and decided to lay it down. I think my issues are that this book is trapped in the time it was written in a way that makes it seem dated instead of being able to escape into the story. Also I’ve become addicted to dual pov.

OH MY GOD I COULDNT STOP RE-READING AND RE-READING AND RE-READING THIS BOOK from chapter 16!!!!!

ITS CRAZY!!!!!!!

This book has BDSM /MF/some MM

When we first meet her Katianna is a published writer of erotica novels. she meets the Dom of Doms, the Dominus, Trenton at his and his brothers' in arms BDSM club.

Trenton has been looking for his Life slave since he was 12yrs! (even though he didnt know thats what it was called then). And he hasn't given up on this dream since. He knows Kat is meant to be HIS the moment he lays eyes on her.

The book starts off slow because Trenton wants to give Kat a chance to build her life and HAVE a life to surrender to him when they finally takes that step. But OH BOY when they do go there. HOTTTT!!!

What i liked
* it was not your usual BDSM book. it had a lot of build up and took its time with the story. (hence the re-reading from ch16) and they didnt just jump into bed together right after they met even though there were Sparks!!
* TRENTON. (nuff said!). he was so thoughtful, caring, strong, loving Hero. and he really was a HERO!
* I could understand Kat's fears. it wasnt unfounded at all. Although she did run away (and i wish she didnt) I think i would have done the same thing because it really is SCARY to surrender your LIFE!!!!
* The Romance is REALLLY BEAUTIFUL
* The other characters!!! The brothers, Paris, Amelia....I want to Know all about them and caNT WAIT for their books!!!
* the book really was BDSM and its very EXPLICIT!!
there is no shying away from the BDSM aspects even for our heroine. it is part Trenton's life and we, along with Kat need to accept that. I Reallly liked the fact that Trenton stuck by his dreams and what he wanted til the end. Although sometimes i wished he ups and goes after Kat instead of waiting for her...

Negatives
* the ending: it seemed very sudden. im thinkin it was because of the length of the book? i dont know but I wanted More...
* there were somethings i thought they should have talked about (like her aversion to spanking). i know Kat realised the two were different but i wished they discussed it...but thats just me
* there were some parts that were choppy
* spelling : ive been told that they are re-editing and fixing this

Overall

I LOVED Becoming his slave!!
I CANT wait to read the next installments and i specially want to read Amelia's story along with of course Deez's!!

I RECOMMEND it to all BDSM lovers and who are also looking for a good FULL length BDSM book.

Reviewed for 'Books and Cozy Spots Reviews'http://talon-ps.com/category/books-co...

This is an epic story in just about every way. In scope, in character, and in romance, Becoming His Slave is about as good as it gets. It’s huge at just over 800 pages, but it’s just as huge at heart.

In today’s romance genre, the reader has become willing and able to suspend disbelief in terms of how fast “things” happen. “Insta-love” has unfortunately, come to fit the bill in our stories just as the concept of “insta” has invaded most aspects of our real life. If that’s what you want, you won’t get it here.

What you will get is a Dom, no…THE Dom, “Dominus” Trenton Leos who willingly puts this relationship course on a long, slow simmer, for what he wants from author Katianna is as complete and irrevocable a commitment as one person can give another. As any slave can give a Master.

The resulting journey is as perfect a repast as a reader can order up. Emotions run the gamut, from high to low and back again. Katianna’s course is a winding road that traverses warm and fuzzy to the heartbreak of self-doubt, and from fear of the losing control to the freedom of embracing it in the hands of another.

While Becoming His Slave is a complete and vivid telling of Kat and Trenton’s story, there are surprisingly satisfying concomitant story lines that throw the doors to the lives and ways of The Dominion of Brothers wide open, inviting us into some compelling lives and the anticipation of what the future might hold for the remainder of The Brothers.

This was an extremely satisfying read that never felt long, or lagged in any way. I can only attest to two incidents of yelling at the book; once for Kat and once for Trenton because damn, couldn’t they just get out of their own way and let this thing happen? ! HINT: They listened to me. And it was a good thing. And worthy of all the chocolate I had to consume while getting them there…

Amazing just AMAZING
I loved this book. I was rec this book from a friend that knows how much I love a good BDSM book and so I got it but it took me a while before I ever read it because of the length. But please do not let that put you off. The writing was perfect.
This book reads like a T.V. Series to me. When I put it down and picked it up I felt like I was watching one episode to the next. He just doesn't tell the story of the 2 main MC's he throws in a little of everyone's POV.
Plus to go with the Great D/s you have amazing sex M/F & a HOT M/M scene.
I truly can not wait to read the rest of the series.
Talon you have truly created the most sexiest/Dominant/loving men I have read in a long time. I would get on my knees for any of them. Thank You

This had DNF written all over it from the beginning for me. I didn't make it very far. It's cheesy as hell, plus the words used for body parts were extremely offputting--"theca", really? I couldn't see continuing for nearly 800 pages.

To start there are a few things I want to tell you. I won a kindle in an auction that this book was part of. I waited for some reason to read Becoming His Slave. When I opened this book and started reading it, I spent every free minute reading it. This story has not just a couple elements that make a book a good read for me, it contains all of them. Romance, passion, lust, excitement, adventure and danger with a touch of humor. Not to mention characters who can pull it all off. In my collection of books there are a few (very few) that I have in every format, NOOK, kindle and paper. Becoming His Slave is one of those select books.

It is called a super novel for a few reasons.

1st - It is a huge book just take a look at the number of pages or the word count.

2nd - The story flows like a great river. It starts at a nice pace then speeds up until you hit the rapids and then it will go back to it's pleasant pace. Believe me you will hit the rapids more than once in this story. There is not one place in this story you will be looking for the exit sign. So get your comfy reading space set up. Your not going to want to move from it.

3rd - The characters and world Talon has created with his story bring all the romance, adventure, danger and passion that make a novel super. You will be taken by the main characters Katianna Dumas and Trenton Leos (The Dominus) on a journey to find the perfect HEA. Not the fictional sunshine and roses but one that mirrors real life. They find happiness but it requires work, not just to get there but to keep it.

4th - (yep one more) The secondary characters who help Katianna and Trenton on their journey will also capture your heart and imagination. So much so that you will be wanting more of their stories as well. Talon has weaved a story that sets up a great series. Because after reading Becoming His Slave you will be hitting your favorite book vendor to grab the next books, A Place for Cliff and Rough Attraction. I did and I'm eagerly waiting for more of this series!

Okay...I didn't just like Becoming His Slave...I loved it!!! I had been looking for a new read for sometime that was in the BDSM genre. I didn't just want the scene but I wanted a complex love story about the how's and why's of this lifestyle. Boy did I hit the JACKPOT when I stumbled upon this one!!! I just discovered that I never left a review...shame on me...for one of my now favorite books and series. This epic story is the first in the Dominion of Brothers series and they are all fantastic reads. Becoming His Slave is the story of the Life of Dominus Trenton Leos and his quest for the ever elusive challenge of finding and getting his dream...a life slave, or as he calls it, his Unicorn, because finding this is as easy as finding a unicorn!!! I love that this is not one of those insta-love stories but is a complex and romantic journey as Trenton and his little mouse, the wonderful erotica writer Katianna Dumas, challenge and work on this connection that they both felt for several years. Was I frustrated with the two of them and their lack of communicating their desires and needs...hell YES!!! Did I fall further in love with the with each and every page...again a resounding YES!!! I also became enamoured with many of the supporting characters that were introduced in the book. I can't wait for each and every one of the "Brother's" stories to unfold! Each of thes powerful, strong and loving Alpha-men are equally fascinating and desirable in their own unique way. This book is a great introduction to the entire Dominion and has a fantastic story of love and how it triumphs over all. One of the most important needs of mine in a book is a HEA and this books filled my needs in spades. If you are looking for a book with love, scorchingly HOT sex, romance, thrilling action with hot Alpha-males who protect their loved ones and do it with honor and courage, look no further because this epic read has it all!!

Spoiler Alert
This was a really good book that I enjoyed. Katianna Dumas hovers on the edge of passion, caught up inside the exquisite eroticism she crafts as an author. Her erotic novels seduce readers with tales of new and unknown heights of pleasure to which Katianna herself, is inexperienced. That is until one night she couldn't even remember; she confessed a secret desire to Trenton Leos, who's now intent to bring her fantasy to life and lure her into his world of Dominance and Submission where he's not just any Dom, he's the Dominus. The Master of all Dom's. This was a really good book Trenton showed Kat what it's like to be his slave and how the Master takes care of her. The author's of this book makes you want to fall in love with both character's. This is the first book in a new series to me the Brothers are all strong alpha males and I am looking forward to reading the next books in this series. Kat gets kidnapped in this book and Trenton and the brother's safe her. The sex scenes in this book were hot and I loved reading all about it. This book was well written with no errors in spelling or grammar. This was my first time reading these authors as it was two of them. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I really loved this book. I was expecting stronger BDSM scenes, but in the end all of it was pretty light, but I just loved how Trenton loved and took care of Katianna from the very beginning. How he coaxed her into becoming his slave and how she surrendered to him.
I also loved the story between Diesel and Paris and I am so looking forward to know more about them and what will happen.

It is a long book (more than 500 pages) but I wouldn't have minded if it was twice as big, it was just so good I didn't want to let them go.

I really liked this story but found it a bit choppy in some spots, like it was missing some detail that I was left wondering and questioning. I really don't want to specify so as not to give anything away but yeah choppy. He did a lot of build up on certain plot drivers with no follow thru. (and now I.m reiterating)

Over all I will still be looking for Deez's book.

I have mixed feelings about this book. We’ll start with the good:

I liked this book for the relationship, the sex and the explanation of a 24/7 life slave to the reader. For those of you who don’t know, a life slave is almost like a life-sized Barbie in some respects: The Dom/Domme dresses, feeds and fully takes care of their slave. They brush their hair, teeth, watch over them and care for them. And that works for some people. I have seen it in real life. The effort and depth of how Talon PS and Princess SO (Talon’s twin & writing partner) put into the character of Katianna, who is a fantastic person but not the strong, independent type that is featured so often today in real life and its mirroring literature, was amazing. I loved how they didn’t make her seem weak or waify… in other words, unlikable. You want to take care of her along with Trenton.

You also want to give in to Trenton… The quote I added above I loved because what straight woman doesn’t want a big, muscular giant to gently brush her hair? For a woman, getting your hair brushed by someone else is amazing. We will purr. (Guys, take note. Girls, let your guys know. Amazing bonding and just -purrs-)…. ahem.

However, on the flip side of all the good, I have a few criticisms.

I liked it, but at times, it seemed overly verbose. There were plot bits that seemed like they would go somewhere and then didn’t… This isn’t to say that they had to, but when you involve a terrible accident scene that was sparked by a serial killer, you’d think that you’d read more about said serial killer later on… And there is the fact that much editing went into this book, however there were still mistakes that slipped through.

They also used some words that had me quoting Inigo Montoya from “The Princess Bride” — “You keep using that word. I don’t think it means what you think it means.” I.E. words that a thesaurus would give you in terms of female genitalia or the vagina, yet when you look up the actual definition, you kind of cringe. ”Theca” and “Chrysalis” being two of them…

I’m going to round this out with more things I liked about the book because I really did enjoy it, though I think there should be a bit more professional editing…. however, I found words that I had to look up (Preponderant) and the use of Latin titles for the main Doms of the book (Dominus, Patronus, etc). It gives is a deliciously gladiator feel, and you shiver (and if you’ve ever seen “Spartacus: Blood & Sand”, you’ll understand further). I love that the reader is buying multiple stories all within one book — you don’t get just one story line. You get many. So it’s worth reading and enjoying. Be it an investment for fantasies and future nights, or just a guilty pleasure.

One Last Quote:
“It is very possible for a Master to love his slave and still be the Dom in the relationship, but if it is lost — it should not matter. What’s more important? Being the authority or being truly happy with someone?”

5 Heart Review by Kat

I almost feel “book drunk” after reading this comprehensive journey into the inter-world of BDSM. I have been accused of “powering” through books before. It is a curse, at times, to be such a fast reader. It did help when I was correcting so many papers, especially essays, in my many years in education. However, when I asked to review this box set before the release of the newest book in series, I vowed I would take my time and savor it. I know it has been a year, and several hundred books read, since I read this the first time but, I have to agree, I may have missed some things or simply forgot. But, I was reminded, while rereading this, how fabulous these books were. This book is The book, and The series, I hold all BDSM Erotica in comparison to!!! And it is even better now, after all the reading I have done in the last year, than before. Soooo good! It actually brought me close to tears a few times, okay…I admit it…it did bring me to tears. The dynamics of these five “brothers”, men who served to defend and protect America and went on to bond in a friendship so strong and inspiring. This book takes place a while after the men are discharged from the Armed Forces. They are still best friends and business partners.

This first book in the series is the story of their leader, the Dominus Trenton Leos, a BDSM master and his hunt for the elusive Unicorn he desires, a Life Slave. At first I was unsure about such an arrangement but if you could guarantee someone as totally in love and dedicated as Trenton Leos, then I might consider. In this age of feminism and strong women, it might be hard for some people to understand Kat and her dependence upon Trenton. If you have not been a victim of a traumatic event that scars you deeply you might not get Kat’s need for her Dominus and her love for him and his strength. She may have simply given up. But, even though she didn’t totally get the whole picture at first, she became stronger through him and with him. That is what love does, makes you stronger in your weak areas and strengthens your mate also.

This book also includes the story of Patronus Diesel Gentry and Paris Dalqeaute, and their stormy encounter. It is a definite “the one who got away” story that is to be continued in the newest book in the series “Right One 4 Diesel”, which I can’t wait for. These are two ginormous men with a sexual appetite that is blistering.

In case you haven’t guessed, I loved this series and can’t wait for more of the stories of these amazing men, their devotion to each other and the ones that they love, their fierce protectiveness, and their journeys to fine the “one”! This is a major must read series!

Cocktails and Books Review

****4 1/2 stars****

Original Review Published here: http://www.cocktailsandbooks.com/gues...

Becoming His Slave is the first book in the Dominion of Brothers series by Talon P.S. A couple of things struck me as I finished this book. First was the length of it, this book was around 550 pages and none of them filler pages either. There is action, drama and/or sex on every page. The other was that there was the short blurb about the story only tells about half of the story. This book takes you on a wonderful journey that is filled with hot sex and complex relationships and how it’s all combined.

Katianna is an up and coming writer when she meets Trenton. She has many issues regarding trust, and communication. There were many times that she was borderline winy but I wonder if it’s a combination of how she overthinks things and being a writer and letting your imagination take hold. Katianna is not the bravest sole is the world either.

Trenton is a hot and sexy Dom, but he is not just any Dom he is a Dominus (Master of all Doms). He trains both subs and slaves and he is also the owner of a security firm for several high profile clients. Nothing get past Trenton. He loves his life but wants a life slave and he thinks Katianna is just the person for it.

My biggest issue with Trenton was he was unwilling to compromise with Katianna. When he wants something and he seems bound and determined to get it his way. My other issue was his lack of communication with Katianna. While he tells her he wants her to be his life slave he forgets to explain what that is to her and tell her his feelings for her. (I mean who wants to spend their life with someone who won’t tell them they love them!) That might have moved everything along faster.

I was not fond of how the story ended. The book just stopped. Now I am left wanting to know how Paris and Diesel turn out as well as several of the other characters like Amelia and Cliff. I will be picking up the next couple of books in the series shortly. I enjoyed this book a lot. I had a hard time putting this book down. The author does a great job of drawing you into this story. I found it well written and very detailed. The main and massive amount of secondary characters were interesting and realistic. Overall, this was a magnificent book.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVED IT!!!

Getting the most common complaint out of the way ... yes, there are spelling and word misuse mistakes in this book, but they are consistent and did not in my opinion detract from the flow of the story. [Please note that this review was written after reading the 1st version; I have not reread the book since the revised version was (finally) sent to my Kindle by Amazon and the previously referenced mistakes may have been corrected.]

Talon writes such wonderful characters. It felt like I was reading about actual people. The fact that the novel followed the characters over the span of several years made it more realistic and it didn't feel as though the development of the relationship between Katianna and Trenton was rushed. I typically don't enjoy books in which the main female character is so skittish, but I came to adore Katianna as much as the 'Brothers' did. While Trenton is a magnificent alpha lead, the novel does a wonderful job of introducing several of the other 'Brothers' who will appear in subsequent novels. The relationship dynamics between the characters were so realistic; I want to be part of this circle of friends and am looking forward to reading more about their lives in future novels. The length of the novel allowed for the full development of the characters and the inclusion of multiple storylines, which made reading it even more enjoyable.

As I feel should be noted in a review regarding erotica, the sex was HOT!!! The book was long, so there was plenty of sex. Because a significant portion of the novel takes place in a BDSM club, there was definitely plenty of sex.

I 'borrowed' "Becoming His Slave" via the Amazon Prime Lending Library and read it 3 times before the end of the month. I enjoyed it so much that I also bought it because I planned to read it again and again. So do I recommend it, obviously!!!

I had no idea what to expect with this book. I've read BDSM books before and every time I was always left feeling....wtf have I just read. Don't get me wrong, Jesse Ward snatched my attention as he did many others...but let me tell you...That Man....has just be dethroned and replaced with the Master of all Doms...The Dominus to be correct.
When you pick up this book you will be introduced to Trenton Leos, the Dom to end all Doms. They call him the Dominus and for damn good reason. This man commands your attention and everything else with a single word. I literally wanted to jump into the book and give myself over to his every command and whim....damn. Then you meet Katianna, or mouse as she's affectionately called by everyone...She is the type of woman anyone could hope to be. She seems like a timid little thing, afraid of even her own shadow, but believe me there is so much more to her than meets the eye. You see her grow and flourish through the book and meeting Trenton is the best thing that ever happens to her.
You will also meet Deisel, Amelia, Dane, Marcus, Paris, Cliff, and so many more.....many will reach your heart and claw their way into their own special places, while others you will find yourself wanting to push off the edge of the world just for the sheer pleasure of watching them go...but I have the mind that Talon has so much more planned for all these wonderful characters so I will reserve the pushing and wait to see if they warm up to me.
My heart was racing at times, but I also shed tears at others, damn near threw my tablet across the room and screamed quite a few times that specific people were being fools...but when you read you will find out for yourself. Let's just say....if you want a book that has BDSM, love, caring, laughter, tears, action, sex, and so much more...you want to grab this book and get reading.

I really enjoyed this book and I wouldn't have thought so in the beginning, as its focus is on a slowly developing ownership between master and slave. I usually don't read 24/7 lifestyle romances, but it seems, this is the year of reading outside my comfort zone (thanks to GR) and I wasn't disappointed.

I am a sucker for epic romances and with over 200k+ words, I felt right at home, fully reminiscing some beloved books from the eighties I have on my keepershelf. Nowadays, I often get bored with long romances, but Talon PS has a true talent of keeping me captivated, and I loved that the relationship between the hero and heroine developed slowly and only took off in the second half of the story.

I was going with a straight A rating, but I realised that some parts of the unique relationship were de trop for me, like that he even wanted to brush her teeth. There is something alluring about the thought of being a sexual slave, but the whole other stuff made me feel imprisoned and suffocated. However, there is absolutely no doubt that Trenton, the dom, is completely and totally devoted to Katianna and that his love for her is, indeed, of the deepest kind.

It is mentioned in the beginning that the author is dyslexic, but some additional editing would have done a world of good. There are many many mistakes in the story, and my tolerance level, usually, is pretty low and hadn't I been this enthralled by the story I would have discontinued. Personally, I found the usage of theca and pudendum, two medical terms, rather off putting, but that’s probably a question of taste and preferences. B

Becoming His Slave by Talon P.S.
Dominion of Brothers Series

Reviewed by A.R. Wise

Becoming His Slave is the first book in the Dominion of Brothers series by Talon P.S.

This book takes you on a wonderful journey that is filled with hot sex and complex relationships.

Katianna Dumas is an up and coming writer without a submissive bone in her body when she meets the biggest Dom of them all, Trenton Leos and pretty much falls in love at first sight. She has a ton of issues with trust, and communication. She’s been through a horrible breakup and pretty much scared of her own shadow. She’s also not the strongest heroine I’ve read but she’s also not a push over.

Trenton Leos is the ultimate Dom. He is what is called the Dominus (a Master of all Doms). He’s not only a Dom he’s the owner of a security firm that caters to high profile clients. He loves everything about his life but for him there is one thing missing; a slave. Not just any slave but a life slave and he was Katianna Dumas to be just that (his Unicorn). When he wants something he goes out of his way to get it.

The inclusion of the other brothers gave you insight into all of them. The development of Diesel and Paris was good to watch. It also added to the strength of the story. It left me wanting more Paris and Diesel. I tremendously enjoyed this book. Though it was over 800 pages I had a hard time putting it down. The author does a great job of drawing you into this story. I found it well written and very detailed. Overall, this was a fantastic book.

So we all know those books, you know the ones I am talking about, the ones with a really strong female mc that completely kicks ass and is fiercely independent and doesn't need a man for anything but chooses to have him anyway? You know - the woman that makes you so jealous of her independence that you just wish you could be as kick ass as she is?

That's not what your getting here.

From the start Trentor refers to Kat as his little mouse and that is the most apt description of her I could come across. Including the fact that the big scary lion wants to devour her. Trenton is a Dom. But not just any Dom. He is the Dom. The Dominus. The man that all Dom's look up to. Now imagine a diminutive woman. One that cowers from her own shadow and sits in corners hoping no one will notice her so she can just carry on writing. Not quite the match you would imagine but it works so beautifully.

It was a realllly long book. Longest one I have read in some time but it was worth every hour. Every chapter. Gosh I had so much to say about Becoming His Slave while I was reading it and now it has all left me. Let's try again.

It was filled with so much. So many characters and so many side plots and so much more than you could get out of your normal 180 pager. I fell in love with so many of them. Diesel, Paris, Dane, Amelia - They were all amazing and I cannot wait to find out what happens to all of them.

Katianna and Trenton's story had so much depth and such a huge building up that I couldn't put it down and found myself up past midnight on more than one occasion.

This book was hot....period. Whether it was M/f, M/m, Mmf, or anything else imaginable, it was hot. That's essentially what erotica is all about. On that count, I wasn't disappointed.

The book was LONG. It was much longer than it needed to be! Part of that was due to it jumping all over the place. You'd think you had a good understanding and here comes an irrelevant character that won't become relevant until you are 90% done with the book. I didn't care for that part of it at all.

I liked Trenton and Kat. I liked Paris and Deisel. Everyone else.....well, they just didn't matter much. I just wasn't sure where this book was supposed to go and I guess, I never really figured it out.

If you want a hot, sexual read, this book is for you. Mind you, this deals with extremely sexual people, so if sex offends you easily, I wouldn't pick it up. I liked the sexual side of the book but at the end of the day, it left me wanting so much more.....story.

3 stars.

I actually bought this book based on other's reviews of it. I have to say that I am seriously disappointed in it. The premise seemed good but the writing itself was disjointed and had no connection for me. I just do not understand how anyone could get involved in this story. I've read quite a few erotic BDSM books and loved them but not this one. I hate that I paid money for it but at least I didn't pay full price. I do agree with one of the other reviewers that I cared more about some of the secondary characters than the primary. Plus this book does not have an ending but continues which I was not happy about and even more so since I did not care for this story.
