A yeti boss that’s too hot to be true. Toni, a smart and successful business owner from Alaska, never thought of herself as the type to fake a relationship—until her mother's nagging takes its toll. She could appease her mother and help her friend and boss by agreeing to be his plus one at a looming Thanksgiving wedding. But she risks more than just her business reputation, she risks her heart too.
A crush on an off-limits employee. What could be worse than watching your brother get married to your ex? Being single and furry when they tie the knot. Denzin is the regional manager of a busy guiding service company, so he knows better than to date an employee, even if it is pretend. But when their deception turns into something real, it might be Toni who ends up breaking his heart.
Neva Post grew up in a log house in Interior Alaska where she walked uphill both ways to school at temperatures of negative forty with only the aurora borealis to light her way. At least, that’s how she remembers it.
She’s equally happy on a snowy trail or coaxing vegetables to grow in her garden during the long Alaskan summer days. When she’s not waxing skis or chasing voles out of her cabbage, she’s at her computer. Neva’s novels include paranormal elements—she can’t help it—with smart and dependable characters who always get their HEA.
A sweet story that left me warm and mushy inside! The characters were great individually and perfectly matched as a couple. The MMC was such a cinnamon roll he got me all swoony. The intimate scenes were romantic and hot. The side characters were likeable and gave me a few laughs. Loved this yeti romance!
Gleeful Goblin Review: Confession time: I am a world class sucker for a secret cinnamon roll MMC, especially if he's a big boi like here being a yeti, or a minotaur, big orc, etc. because (at least the books I love) they're like 50 pounds of adorable in a 10 pound sack. And this book is 100% on that exact vibe. There's mutual and secret pining for what both MCs think is a forbidden love but are too awkward to make the move and seeing them dance around the issue is both frustrating and delightful. There's also some top quality "only one bed" trope that comes into play during the fake dating that is beyond adorkable. And y'know what else is swoon worthy about this book? How sweetly consent is woven in! "He searched Toni’s half-lidded eyes. “I want to kiss you, but we’ve had too much to drink. Let’s revisit this tomorrow when our heads are clear?” She drew her bottom lip between her teeth, and Denzin nearly groaned with need. She nodded and slowly untwined her arms, but her forehead creased. “You’re still going to sleep with me, aren’t you?” A sweet smile spread across her face. “I mean, sleep in the same bed as me?” He wanted nothing more than to tuck under the covers with Toni. “It’s big enough that we can stick to our own sides.” And he would respect her space, her person." SWOON. It isn't all smooth sailing for the couple but it's low stakes/low angst and the way that the bumps happen between the characters showed a ton of growth and emotional intelligence while still being believably grounded.
This is a beautifully cozy romance in a lovely setting, perfect to snuggle up in a blanket with tea on a chilly evening. Treat yo' self to this 5/5 Stars winner.

Another cute installment in this yeti romance series. I appreciated that Denzin, while still struggling with the idea that human women won’t want to be with a yeti like him, is also strong enough to not still pine after his ex. Toni is such a strong character, willing to put her feelings on hold in order to grow her business. They were just so darn cute together, while being in a fake relationship that everyone around them knew was real. When Toni hurt Denzin, I was legit telling her off while I read 😆. But I appreciate that the angst is short-lived. I really enjoy this series and would recommend any and all of the books so far!
I received a copy of the book from the author, but my review is entirely voluntary and honest.

This was one of the sweetest books I’ve read. Our MMC, a yeti named Denzin, has been convinced into officiating his ex-girlfriends wedding to his brother. The FMC, a human woman named Toni, needs to convince her mother to stop setting her up with random men. These two friends, with the encouragement of their friend group, decide to ‘fake date’ for the weekend. They didn’t count on their very real feelings for each other complicating everything. Denzin is an adorably cute and considerate male, who secretly adores Toni, but as her unofficial boss won’t allow himself to consider what could be. They have previously had a ‘special moment’ and both dance around, i.e. avoid, talking about it. Being in close quarters for the weekend, their chemistry can’t be hidden or controlled, and they give in to their feelings. But what happens when the weekend ends? I love this small, yeti friendly town and its inhabitants. I enjoy the friendships and am looking forward to reading more of them. This is a quick, easy, and well written read. I’m looking forward to more from this author.
This was an engaging paranormal romance by a new-to-me author. The world building was detailed, the plot entertaining and the characters either wonderful...or not ;) I loved seeing Denzin and Toni finally be able to let loose their longing for each other in a fake dating situation. Of course, neither are quite ready to fess up to each other that they have real feelings so the fake isn't really all that fake. Lol! I did find them cute and frustrating as they danced around what they really wanted. With friends and family stirring the pot, this was highly entertaining, cute and steamy. Good fun!
Toni (h) and her yeti boss, Denzin (H) agree to fake a relationship to mollify her mother who’s pushing men at Toni and to help Denzin save fac as his ex marries his own half-brother at a Thanksgiving wedding. The two are put in a cabin together and things heat up as the two spend time at wedding festivities. The two have been secretly into one another for a while but Toni worries how others might perceive her having a relationship with her boss and can’t help but hold herself back from the relationship. Denzin struggles with the limitations of being a yeti in a human world and yet he’s the one really putting himself out there. Sweet and steamy yeti-human romance with a bit of angst.
This novella is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, female human (Toni)/male yeti (Denzin), fake dating, friends to lovers, contemporary fantasy romance. I enjoyed Denzin’s willingness to take a risk in aid of the relationship he wanted. I sympathised with Toni’s anxiety but felt she overreacted to stress, causing distress to both herself and Denzin. I appreciated that she came back and apologised but felt there was insufficient grovelling. I enjoyed their steamy intimate scenes. I enjoyed the balance they found for themselves.

I'm so glad I found this series! I've absolutely fallen in love with these lovable, strong, caring balls of fur! This book has Denzin and fellow friend/employee faking a dating relationship during his brother's wedding to get Toni's mother off her back about dating. The pace was great and the supporting characters are even better! The sexual tension builds so well I found myself tensing up! Definitely glad these are on my bookshelf!
Loved the characters and the storyline and can't wait to read more in this series so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book to everyone
Denzin is a yeti and is preparing for his step brother's wedding. He is also a businessman and dresses immaculately. He is stickler for dress code. He has had a crush on his business associate since they were teens. But he knows that she doesn't want anything to do with him. And besides it's bad policy to have a relationship with business associates. Toni has had the biggest crush on Denzin since they were teens. But she's locked those feelings inside of herself. She loves her job and is proud of what she's accomplished. The day of his brother's wedding to his ex girlfriend is here and he and a group of their friends are relaxing when one of them gets the brilliant idea that he and Toni should fake date. He's against until Toni tells them her mother has started a dating app for her and is sending her pictures of men who she might like to date. That does not make him happy and he says he's in for the fake dating. Toni thinks this might be her chance to see how things between could be. The whole fake dating becomes more than they expected. Until she panics and runs. Will he be able to get her back? A cute and sometimes giggly story of two people who think they know what the other is thinking...big mistake!!!.
