This book is the third installment in the Dark Kings of NYC series which is about Decker and Isabelle. I highly recommend this series be read in order. In this book all hell has broken loose after the wedding of Connor and Mia is ruined. There's action, suspense, and some SERIOUSLY steamy scenes, and of course some twists and turns! They are on the run from the Mexican Cartel, and they’ve got to get back across the U.S Boarder or he is a dead man, and she will surely be sold to the highest bidder. The chemistry between these two soulmates is undeniable and off the charts, but technically she’s engaged and inexperienced. Decker is an ex-Marine, and is also a very conflicted character and he wants Isabelle, but he knows he shouldn’t. Decker is an honorable man, but he’s a man nonetheless. Darker then the previous books, Decker’s moral meter may be a little grayer than most.

Isabelle is a sassy mouthed virgin who’s fallen for the “bad guy” who’s taken her to Mexico, and she believes he's one of them, even though he continuously kept her out of harms way, but she plays right into this hands. (literally) Decker and Isabelle must overcome challenges and obstacles meant to tear them apart, to get that happily ever after.

This book was BY FAR my favorite (as I impatiently wait for the fourth installment) Decker is SMOKING HOT and he can protect me ANYTIME!
This book is SAVAGE-LY GOOD!

I am not able to find appropriate words that I felt while reading this one. Okay so the character of Decker was really good but I must say that being a girl I did not like the character of Izzy. I did not even like her in the first book as well.
First thing if she knows that one of her best friends loves her and she is secretly engaged with someone else, she should say that directly so he should not have any hopes and I think that is why the author has removed his presence from this book. I do not like when people forget friendship over relationships and I think that is why I gave less rating to this book.
Overall it was a gripping book because of the run away from Mafia thing but truth be told Decker made one mistake but Izzy was too ignorant and arrogant for him and I think it is only fictional men who can bear such tantrums of a girl in a difficult situations.
I can not wait to know more about Mack in the net book as he was one of the most loyal and simple characters in this book so I am intrigued to know about his life.

Why don’t the cover pictures ever come close to looking like the MMC?? Is it so hard to give us something close?!? And weren’t we told in books 1&2 that Isabelle‘s a blue eyed “black haired” beauty? Or am I misremembering? Now in this book #3, her hair is blonde?!? Numerous inconsistencies in this series.

Anyway, the author conveyed Isabelle’s entitled personality too well. She’s a rich brat and shows her ignorance often by shooting off her mouth at the most inopportune times. At the same time, she was rather comical sparring with Decker, who’s at his wits end trying desperately to keep her (and himself) alive while living undercover within the Cartel. However I had to suspend my belief quite a bit, to allow Ms. author to broadly spin her tale. Because I know without any doubt if I just witnessed and was involved in a full blown massacre and was kidnapped under gunfire, just that alone would’ve immediately humbled my haughty attitude and changed my sassy tune very quickly. I would’ve cowered in fear. But not Isabelle. She doesn’t seem affected. She simply doesn’t know when to shut up. She’s captured by the Mexican cartel and taken into the deep recesses of Sinaloa, Mexico., sexually abused and her life endangered with threats of being passed around to soldiers as a sexual toy. She’s threatened at being sold into the human sex trade. And even though she’s explicitly instructed by her captor, (who’s sweatin’ bullets to keep this idiot alive), to not speak when coming before the Boss, what does she do? She tries to bargain and negotiate her release to the Cartel Boss! She shoots her mouth off at the stupidest times, drawing attention to herself and digging herself in deeper. She’s worse than a 12-year-old brat. Still all in all, this was a good story and it kept me invested, even though it was very predictable. Decker was the saving grace for me. Loved his personality. But what happened to poor Duncan??????

“I’m both her captor and a lifeline”

Decker Adams is one of the Dark Kings along with Connor and Nathan. He is focused on Mexican cartel, Costilla Cartel. He has done things he’s despised to prove himself and fit in undercover for the past 6 years. He has moved up in the cartel world and is one of the security detail for Pablo Garcia—the head of the Mexican cartel. He has a need to protect those who have no one else. He must avenge his cousin who was kidnapped, trafficked, and didn’t survive.
Izzy Walton (age 24) is friends with Sienna and Mia. She is a dental assistant. She is still a virgin due to a manipulative deal that affects her trust fund.

Decker is a true hero who has gone above and beyond as being undercover is not easy. I didn’t love Izzy’s character, she was whiney at times. Usually I love a virgin h but in this case it meant less steamy scenes.
This is a dark mafia romance (no sharing, no cheating but there is a dark scene where the bad guys are doing stuff...). There is a HEA.

Her writing definitely gets better with each book. Need to start with the first in the series to really understand everything. I’m not a fan of the instalove trope but it was better done in this one compared to her second book of the series. She also did a good job of making you feel the fear and discomfort of being in the Garcia mansion. It’s a fast read and entertaining. I wasn’t sure how the ending with Todd was going to play out, but it worked. Can’t say I liked the timeline of her only having sex two weeks ago with Dec and all of a sudden she’s announcing a pregnant while he’s purposing. 🙄 this book could’ve had at least one more round of edits to check timelines and give some extra proofing for double wording or misspellings.

Ok this book was ok, but like the one before this I didn’t like the main female character. I thought Isabelle was weak and not the right woman for a strong character like Decker. She made many situations worse and then got mad at everyone else when they got worse because of her. Don’t even get me started on the whole drama with her dad and trust fund issues, someone letting themselves get used and even when she is showed what is really going on she still doesn’t choose Decker until her father admits his role in the whole trust fund stuff. I want a romance where both characters are going to fight for each other and this wasn’t it.

Book 3 in The Dark Kings of NYC did NOT disappoint! I read this one so darn fast. Decker and Isabelle are incredibly steamy. Watching them trying to get out of Mexico alive while trying to cope with their explosive chemistry made for an exciting read! I almost wish the story wasn't over !! If you have not started the series yet, treat yourself and go buy all 3 books. Because once you start, you will not want to stop!

Decker and Isabelle are on the run from the Mexican cartel. They’ve got to get back across the US boarder before they are caught or he’s dead and she will be sold. The chemistry between these two soul mates is off the charts but she’s engaged and inexperienced. Decker is an honorable man but a man none the less. Can they control themselves when forced into tight quarters? Unimaginable situations and a whirlwind love story are what makes this book one you’ll have trouble putting down.

Do you love high-steam dark mafia romance with a man-in-uniform twist? Do you have a penchant for the sassy virgin trope? This is the book for you. While I'd recommend starting at the beginning of the series, I had no trouble following the plot, and the chemistry between the main characters was electric. Tons of action, suspense that will keep you enthralled until the last page, and ALL THE STEAM. You don't want to miss this one.

This book, like the 2nd book in the series, had so much potential, but fmc absolutely ruined the book for me. I literally couldn't stand her. Also what's up with author making previous book characters into assholes? I had to force myself to finish the book, same as the 2nd book. Only did it because of mmc. First book was 5 stars, this is so disappointing I won't be bothering to read the last book.

Enjoyable read with good tension

I would've given this 5 stars for the chemistry between Deck and Izzy, but I couldn't get past the underlying ridiculousness of her clinging to her "fiance." If a man tried to tell me, after being kidnapped and terrorized in Mexico, that I couldn't have a glass of whiskey to calm my nerves, and my father went along with it, to hell with them both. I'm glad she came to her senses.

What an amazing book.
Isabelle walks out to walk down the aisle and catches a glimpse of Dek. He winks at her. She is a bridesmaid for her friend Mia. Then Mia gets shot and so does her dad. Her intire family is wiped out. Nathan goes to get Sienna and tells Dek to get Isabella. He gets her out only to see his boss and pushes her into the car.
Isabella has been kidnapped by the Mexican cartel.
This is a must read book The characters are awesome as is the storyline.

Book 3 of the Dark Kings and just as interesting and spicey as the others. This series should be read in sequence. This time it's Decker's storyline finding love after the massacre in book 2. Lots of dangerous action and getting secrets exposed to keep you glued to the end. Looking forward to the next but sadly it will be the last

I am writing a review for the Dark Kings of NYC Series. I found these books entertaining, engaging, and enjoyable with drama, danger, chemistry, a need for vengeance, and ultimately, love. The MMCs are alpha, ex-military, capable, strong, and determined. When they fall, they fall hard for the FMCs, who are beautiful, sexy, and sassy. I loved reading these books. This is my honest review.

Izzy and Decker steam up the pages from the word go. Lots of action in the third installment of the Dark Kings. This book takes us from Mexico with the cartel to the high rises of NYC. If you like lots of steam and action you will want to read this book! Bb

This is a great series. It's short, spicy, he falls first, hard and fast. MMC's are possessive, protective alphas. Decker and Isabelle's story is no different than the previous. I'm soooo glad the HEA turned out the way it did. Can't wait to read Mack's story.

Ok my new favorite book in the series! I loved Decker and Izzy's story. The story has the perfect mix of plot and spice. I love the protective alpha men in these stories. And that they still have a vulnerability about them. I'm excited for Mack's story next.

Hot, sexy alpha

I loved the storyline and characters. It was a slow build that had a good fake towards the end. Decker can protect me any day.

I do not know what to say. It is a Juliette Banks book. I had no doubt I would enjoy it. A bit of action and spice just as I expect from her books. I enjoyed it.

The Savage King is “Savage-ly” good! It is full of danger, dark passions, and the good guy risking it all to save the girl with the help of his brothers-in-arms.  Darker than the previous books in this series, it is a deadly, yet passionate, rollercoaster ride across Mexico.  Decker is a smoking hot hero in a series full of them. His moral meter may be a little grayer than most, but that is because he is willing to do whatever it takes to live up to promises he made to save them all. Decker and Isabelle overcome challenges and obstacles meant to tear them apart to get that happily ever after. I loved the involvement of the other Dark Kings and their women. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat! Five stars and five flames for spice!

This is a Dark Mafia Romance, and this is the third book in The Dark Kings of NYC series. I have read the first two books in this series before picking up this book, and I do think this is a series that needs to be read in order. This type of book is not for everyone, and it does have a lot that could trigger readers. This is a fast paced action packed dark mafia romance, and I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved getting to know both Decker and Isabelle, and I love the connection they had for each other. This book has a lot of steamy moments in this book. I really loved the ending of this book, and I was living for it.
