The Red Ghost and a Chocolate Bunny: A Cryptozoology & Craft Beer Adventure

Rate this book
Spring brings nature to life, even in the shortened spring of the Sonoran Desert in the American Southwest. In Arizona, it is the season residents and visitors alike wait for in eager anticipation. The desert terrain bursts into a canvas of unimaginable beauty as delicate desert wildflowers and blooming cacti blanket the landscape. Animals such as javelina, scorpions, and rattlesnakes become more active, and baseball renews in the form of Cactus League spring training games. But increased eyewitness reports suggest spring has brought something else back to a cryptid from Arizona's past; long since forgotten and presumed dead. A call from Kareem's past brings him and the TIME team to Arizona to investigate claims that the Red Ghost has returned!

I enjoy traveling, craft beer, and paranormal television shows. I write a series that would fall under realistic fiction involving cryptozoology and craft beer.

My day job is a staff member in a university faculty training and development department and university teacher of marketing, business management, and criminal justice. I also like to run half marathons as part of the 50 State Half Marathon Club.

A research study by Pew Research in 2016 stated that 26% of Americans did not read one book since high school. It also stated the average reading level of American adults is about 7th to 8th grade level. Instead of books with big words or poetic language I sought to write a book in plain everyday tone.

If you are an avid reader and like an intricate plot with flowery words, you probably won't like it. I think people who like beer will be cool with the creatures, but if you don't like beer then this probably isn't for you. Sometimes there may be tongue-in-cheek descriptions. There will be roadside attractions, pop culture, mysterious creatures, and of course craft beer. If you like those things and keep an open-mind, you might like it.

Cryptozoology and craft beer make an unusual pairing, but one I thought might interest the typical non-reader. And if they are not reading, they likely won't be in the library or the book store...so I am setting out on a nation-wide tour located in breweries around the country. I hope to see you there. Check my events page for a city hopefully near you!
